Can yall please make a lasher that is built for overlashing cable on top of 3-4 inches of other cable . Basically a lasher that doesn’t need a strand to rest on to stay spinning

That machine operator should be in constant contact with the people at the other end in case there's a reason to stop the pull.

Who actually uses a clamp to hold tension on the wire when swapping the lasher. Everyone i know just uses tape

It's goofy looking, it'll catch everthing it comes in contact with, but single lash is a plus, but no one single lashes anymore, were looking at a naked Apollo lasher it seems, but much lighter. Just make a damn carbon fiber motorized version already, you have 3D printers and super light weight batteries, just do it!

When you tighten the washers it creates a flat spot on the lashing wire at the entry to the washers thus promoting broken lashing wire at that point

Trees will ruin it's efficiency with that offset lashing wire reservoir

Never tighten the washers,no need for a roller pusher/shotgun with those rollers. Wonder how the performance is in trees with such a light weight machine.Haven't used a lashing wire grip in 25 years,no need for it

Stop calling strand messenger, messenger is the term used for the support system when the cable and support are one product, strand and messenger are totally different.

J2 Lasher seems more practical. Plus the way he fed it throw the bug nut, if he just wrapped it and left 5 inches. Would’ve saved a lot of time.

All I know is he obviously needs to keep one hand on the machine at all times while it's not being pulled, to prevent it from completely flipping over upside down.. GMP - almost 20 years experience doing this - for the love of God - just make a mini Apollo and be done with it.. the Apollo is the best lasher made for dealing with crowded poles, trees, service wires... it's just too big, and too heavy to call it "perfect". Knock 1/3 of the size and weight off the Apollo and nobody will even know what a J- lasher or C-lasher is anymore.. the entire country has moved to fiber optics, the copper stuff is coming down.. we don't need a big lasher to go over big cables... we need a mini APOLLO - and nobody will ever need anything else.
