The cover band is called "The four horsemen"

The band is a cover band called the four horsemen, and they try to recapture the 80s-90s metallica concert experience for lower prices and try to play at album quality. I've seen them live, they are AWESOME.

Also this sounds like shit because it's recorded through a shitty phone mic from someone in the audience. Live, they sound very close.

I guess everyone has a right to their opinion. Yes, Queensryche was great back in the day. I would put the first 5 albums + EP into the category of greatness. Then, after that period, there was a VERY steep decline - much of it driven by Geoff Tate. I for one, pretty much stopped being a fan from about 2003 up until the point where Tate left and the band. (10 years!) I am extremely happy that they decided to move forward because they not only started creating kick ass music again, but they committed to keeping their legacy alive. I've enjoyed listening and seeing them live ever since. Not only that, but their latest music is some of the best of their career at this point. I've heard that they have more on the way. They now have 4 GREAT albums with Todd and it's far from a cover band. This is 100% kick ass metal and their shows have left me blown away. And just to confirm... Geoff Tate isn't producing anything new at this point -- at least nothing notable. I've seen him live, and he was good. But if I had my choice, I'd take this incarnation of Queensryche over what he's doing any day of the week. Feel free to live in the past if that's your thing. The past isn't coming back. I'd prefer to appreciate and honor the legacy while enjoying everything new that the band has done, and will do in the future.

@@ChrisJAuman I dont find mediocre meaningless me too metal as Queensryche also going backwards was never what Geoff and Chris believed in..their new cds are total crap that have no meaning without Tate and without Chris the band suffered , now they know they suck and nobody wants to hear any Todd stuff live unless they have a mullet and live off Tates vocal greatness to fool fans into going. This actually pathetic the drumming is awful they sound like total crap in reality and I saw them many times since the EP. They need to lose the Queensryche name

@@rickylex2735 Cool. Well, enjoy your time sitting at home waiting on Geoff and Chris to do anything relevant ever again. We'll all be out rocking and having a great time at their live shows and listening to their old AND new music. I'll disagree that nobody wants to hear them and I certainly don't have a mullet. LOL! I've also played drums for over 40 years and I can certainly say that the drumming is tasteful, complex and top notch. I say keep the name and not only carry on the legacy but continue to build on it. I love Geoff, Chris and Scott. But they made a lame choice to quit and sit on the sidelines. I prefer to celebrate Eddie and Michal who are awesome guys who are still out there and doing what they can to continually rock our asses off!

Ratt wasn't filling stadiums with 4/5 original members at the height of 80's nostalgia in 2012, despite the fact they did back in the day. Very few 80's bands are filling stadiums now. And the ones that do are typically the ones that were ridiculously commercialized, like Crue and Poison (whenever they happen to be touring).
