Thank You is there a video showing how to daisy chain to a sub speaker?
The second XLR cable below chanel A.. What is it for?
Maybe you can help me. When I am connecting the speaker to my mixing board which input should I be using some people tell me HZ is that correct. Also., should I use the default setting. Thank you so much
When you pair these speakers together by the wire you show in the video, will the sound be stereo?
I read an article saying beginners should always use at least a small 2 channel mixer to connect our device, two speakers, and microphone. If we don't need a mixer here, when would we (assuming we just want to play music and not actually mix)? Is it just to make it easier to control volume?
what brand speaker stands are those?
Thank you so much. I found your videos are very helpful
Glad it was helpful for you!
Thank You for your video. Sooooo if I'm only using ONE K12.2 speaker, can I use TWO lines to plug into my mixer? Line A and Line B (2 separate XLR cables going into the main L & main R inputs on my XR12 digital mixer?) Thanks!
You sure can! Just make sure channel A is in line mode and not mic mode. It won’t be true stereo of course since it’s just a single speaker, but it will work just fine.
@@doomboxproductions4618 Right! Thank You!
this was the most user friendly video i have ever seen. very simple to follow, thank you so much
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful to you.
What if you're plugging in two mics to one speaker?
These speakers only have 1 mic preamp built into them. You’d need and external mixer or you could plug one mic into each speaker and cross-route them.
Why not simply plug into Line B for second speaker instead of all the eq modifications when dealing with Line A for second speaker?
Yes, that’s that’s a good way to deal with it so you don’t accidentally have the mic preamp engaged on the second speaker
@@doomboxproductions4618 thx again for ur help!!!!
Well explained . Really appreciate your knowledge.
Thank you!!
Thanks for posting. Very informative and quick!
Why QSC didn't built k15.2 15 inch speaker 2000 watts same model k 8 k 10.2 k 12.2.
Hi, can you tell me more about speaker 1 and the speaker 2 please? Because, I just bought one not a pair.
One problem I have is that when I use the mixout for my other k12. Is that it’s not as loud even though they are both set at the same level on the knobs it’s a pain trying to adjust them to same level using my ears. How can I fix this?
They sound perfect for my purpose. However, is there any way to mute Fx ( vocals / acoustic guitar ) in between songs ?
These speakers don't have any built in effects.
that helped me a lot you explained all the in's and a the out of the speaker lol. I think I went over kill because I have two ,QSC 12.2's and a ,QSC touch mix 8 and a 300$ vocal mic all together a price of 4,000, get this in a room that is too small and I have to put the speakers 2ft apart a soundboard that I only use 2 channels on an 8 channel and a mic I barely use LMAO
how do you set up 2qsc k12.2 with 1 qsc ks118 sub along with a mixer ?
Thanks for the video, question, I sing and play keyboard and do bar and smaller restaurant gig, would one speaker work for me? Would this be the best speaker for me?
The worst speakers I’ve owned. Nothing but problems. Finally returned them. Even after QSC supposedly repaired them.
DRYT G O
Don't set speaker 2 as speaker 1 on channel A. It almost kill my speaker with that setup. Dumb!
Yes, speaker 2 does not need the "mic" setting turned on. Sorry I should have made that more clear in the video.
How they can sound with a keyboard as Nord Stage 3 or Roland RD 2000 ?
I’m having issues with my K12.2. If you mic a drum kit as soon as the drummer starts playing they stop outputting sound. I need to turn them off and on again to have sound. Very annoying and not acceptable for an $849 speaker. I’m waiting for the 3rd replacement.
Is this speaker is suitable for using as a LCR in homecinema segments?
AHHHHHHH gain isnt volume. ahhhhhh sorry lol
Can you do one connecting k12 to sub ks18
Thanks for your comment! There’s no difference in connecting a subwoofer or a 2nd powered speaker. Simply come out of the output of your K12.2 and go into the input of your subwoofer. The only setting you might want to change is the subwoofer setting on the K12.2, which will filter out the low frequencies from main speaker.
Do you do any bose tutorials? Good basic set up for beginners. Well done!
Which model?
Is there a video about all the settings within the QSC?
We’ve had several requests for this so we are hoping to put one out soon!
@@doomboxproductions4618 which system is best for large scale wedding?
Yes! Please do!
Great stuff. I’d love to see an in-depth tutorial about the eq settings. Thank you
Just brought two! Love them!!! Great video
Thank you 🙏
Thank you man, I really needed this help, I appreciate you and I hope you are able to grow this channel.
Thanks!! Glad I could help
Great job buddy.
Gracias por la información compartida. 👏
Awesome !! If you can, can you show how to set up Yamaha mixer with TV with that video too?
Thanks for this video. I own the K10 and absolutely love the deep bass setting on it. When I purchased these K12.2 I was disappointed in the sound as I use it as a wedding Dj and even on the “Dance” mode it was missing the Bass punch. So I decided to increase the Eq Bass output to 200 and bingo that was it made a huge difference. I’ve driven the speakers at 75% volume and on the mixer I do not allow it to peak a bit of the yellow is fine. I wanted to know if what I’m doing is correct? It’s sound superb no peaking that I have seen.
Yes!! I think the “deep” bass setting was something a lot of people missed from the original K10s and K12s. I always aim for as close to 0dB on all my equipment as possible. That’s when it should sound the best! However, as long as you have a healthy amount of gain at each stage of your signal chain, it’ll sound great 👍
@SKROO GOOGLE Thanks for the question. When you open the menu screen on the QSC 12.2 you need click and go past the “PRESET” mode and enter into the “EQ” mode there is a 4-band, parametric equaliser. In this setting you need to scroll to the “LOW” and change the Hz to 200k (not the dB) then scroll down and make the sure this is in “EQ IN”. This will engage the EQ mode. By the way the preset that I use is “DANCE” and the change that i’m doing is over and above the factory pre-set for "DANCE". So what you have been hearing is correct. As a DJ I only have to adjust the EQ on the my DDJ-SZ mixer when I’m mixing two songs. Been doing this for a while and it works fine for me. What sounds good to me may be different to you. So I would recommend that you hire a pair of the speakers and have a play around with the settings and then make your decision to buy or not.
Thank you!! Can you do another video K12.2 set up with KS118 with a Yamaha mixer?
I’m looking to make a video like that soon!
I was confused also… I wish it said “ Mic/Line/Mixer…….. So your Mixer goes into the Mic/Line A input. (Make sure you choose A in the scroll menu) You can either use 2 XLR cables L and R out of your Mixer into the A inputs of your 2 speakers, or one XLR out of your Mixer into one speaker, and “ daisy chain” with an XLR to the 2nd speaker with the bottom Mix Out output.
Excellent instructions. Thanks so much
Glad it was helpful for you!
Great informative video
Thank you 🙏
Thanks! I've been considering buying these speakers for my new small live music venue here in Japan.
They are great speakers! We use them for all our small to medium sized events.
@@doomboxproductions4618 Hello! I thought I would reply again after almost one year. These K12.2 speakers are phenomenal! I also purchased three CP12 speakers for monitors. Two up front and one for the drummer. Then I bought a KS118. Oh, man! We run all speakers at unity volume and the sub is at -7. Beautiful sound! I also have an analog Midas Venice 240 mixer. It's videos like yours that were positively influential. Thanks again!
@@johnreardon4944 sounds like a great setup! Glad we could help out and thank you for the kind words.
Please make a video on how to set the equalizer on both speakers to get full patentual sound thanks Dj Louie
Thanks for your suggestion! It really depends on the room that you’re putting the speakers in, but I will look into making a video about how to measure and implement this.
