Yeah they do would be interesting to try a bigger brands to see if there is much difference. However can’t get my head around paying big prices when the ones I’ve got (budget) seem to work just fine.

@@TripoutUK The difference is mainly in the materials and how they are sourced, and the labour used to make them. Rab (as an example) only uses down from ethically sourced suppliers, the other materials are made from recycled products with environmentally friendly waterproof treatments. Plus the labour is another aspect, proper wages for workers etc, not paying peanuts for workers in a sweat shop. So what you're paying for might not perform that much differently, but has been made in a way that's better for the workers and the environment. When you're on a budget is a hard choice. Luckily I'm in a position now the kids are grown up where I can afford to pay for the 'greener' branded products.

Great to meet you aswel. And I agree made some get friends that day that im sure I will end up doing many outings with. Would love to properly try out some woodland camping, looking through your photos it looks great 👍🏼

@@TripoutUK I'm lucky in that the group contains a member with his own bit of woodland so we pretty much have the run of the place when there. Sadly though it's prone to being waterlogged and the trees go over in strong winds so not a very safe place to be in weather like we've had recently. Looking forward to seeing more of your vids. Very true I’m sure all this gear in the right settings would be perfect for the now and then camper. I’m positive I could use this setup in spring/summer with zero issues. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼

Yeah no one cares camping is for everyone with any budget. If it gets people out that’s all that matters. Not a fan of the inflatable pillows either I always under inflate them and wrap a down jacket over them to make them more comfortable but for just over £1 I’m sure it would be fine in a festival setting or even just as a back up in your bag. @@TripoutUK my experience with them pillows is they work for a while but the inner plastics (Naturehike) under the fabric cracks and when you look for a puncture its a darn row of them! They just micro crack' might as well stuff them with that hollow stuff the fill cheap sleeping bags with and be done withthem shenanigans :)

@@quebecpatriot1874 yeah since getting a small normal pillow I don’t think I’d go back to using the cheap blow up ones. Read some good things online about the more premium branded ones that are part pillow and part stuffed but again would just stick to my normal pillow. Would be a good idea to break down an old cheap sleeping bag if it was damaged or going in used to make some pillows tho 👍🏼

The first time I've ever bought an air pillow for camping was off Temu because they are quite cheap,(before I'd just use my pack or stuff sleeping bag cover with something)and I must say for around $10NZ it's worth every cent, giving a decent comfortable sleep. The pillow itself is of reasonable quality and hasnt deflated while using yet

@@floydkingi4364 Naturehike does a pretty nifty cover for those if you dont mind the add bulk ; better then put your face on plastic! (its kinda quilted)

Also love your tips and products man, I like having JD fireball whiskey to keep me warm when winter camping. And going to invest soon in an air mat with a good r rating

@@samthemanwholikesham a good pad is makes all the difference. You can literally lie down on one with a good r rating when testing them and feel your back start to warm up, like it’s reflecting the heat back to you, so good and a solid investment especially for the winter

Yeah it all makes a big different in the cold night, like you I hate being cold so anything I can do that can make me warm I will. Just a bonus that I normally take a power bank anyway so in winter just switch it for the hand warmer one and the booties and water bottle don’t really take up much space to pack so just makes sense to take it all and know that I’ll be toasty all night 😁 thank you for all the support and encouragement, means a lot 💛

Yeah the GoPro didn’t film at all while it had crashed very strange. We don’t really believe in spooky things but starting to now 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ my yellow coat is a Forclaz MT100 it’s really good and is packable which is a bonus. Thanks for the sub, going to have to up our game now we know you could be watching 😁

I’d give it a 7-8 right up until the winter. It’s been great and keeps me warm and it’s very light but I know once it gets really cold the bigger coats going to have to come out 😂

Yeah it’s really good, heats up quick and actually gets really warm. It’s a no brainer especially if you take a power bank with normally. Cheers mate appreciate it 😎
