Traveltopia - Midlife Gap Year
Австралия
Добавлен 5 окт 2018
Our passion for travel goes beyond our Videography skills but we hope you enjoy our travels with us regardless. We love Asia and cant wait to get back there every time we leave.
We are Krish and Pete and we have been travelling together since 2010. We go overseas twice a year usually and have until 2020 made basic videos. In 2022 we went on our first trip after Covid and headed back to our second home, Thailand.
In December 2024 we left Australia to travel Asia for 12 months, calling it our Mid life (crisis) Gap Year. We plan to travel until January 2026 around Asia and record our journey for you (and our memories).
For us, RUclips is just a place to share our travels and look back on years later and have something for our kids and grandkids to look at after we have passed. If however our videos inspire just one person to go somewhere, well, that's also amazing.

OMG... We're having a Midlife..... GAP YEAR!!!!
Well we have always dreamed of it, and now its coming true..
Krish and I are taking 12 months off work and travelling Asia.. So much to see and do and never enough time, so we are making time.
We flew from Brisbane Australia to Bali on Christmas day and are just taking 5 days to unwind and chill before we head to the next (and some might say the first real) destination on our year long journey.
Join us with weekly videos on our travel exploits as we venture into the unknown (sort of) and discover as much of Asia as we can.

@whitneyjones5628 for current pricing your best to reach out to Access directly but when we were there last we had massage down the road towards the temple market and ate all over Karon for variety..
Hope that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay in Malaysia.

@@traveltopia1 Thats so funny i have exactly the same attitude and i always tell people that its mostly for my own memories.
That temple was simply stunning, one of my all time favourites 😍
Penang hill and surrounding area with its Chinese theme was awesome. Sunrise was a little smoggy however.. then the following day at the War Museum was so enlightening about the Malay people during WW2

We will be back next year around Feb 😊

Thanks for visiting Pulau Pinang 🏝️。 Have a safe trip✌️。
Just to correct, the mosque you visited is not the National Mosque but it is Federal Territory Mosque (Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan). The National Mosque (Masjid Negara) is situated next to Perdana Botanical Garden, and Isllamic Museum with blue umbrella shape dome.
What an amazing day we had, batu caves is definitely worth getting up early for and has so much to offer 😀

Kl is an amazing city and I love KLC Park and of course Petronas Towers. The mosque you went to is Masjid Wilayah
So much to see and do in this vibrant city, it is definitely one of our faves ❤
@@KrishB74 My favourite city that I have visited and I have seen many cities
Great video! You covered your trip to KL well! Hope you enjoyed your trip🤩 Greetings from your new subscriber - best of luck with your channel
The last Malay village in the middle of KL city has been offered 1.5 million usa by the government but they don't want to let it go
Nice day dear 🎉
Welcome to KL, Malaysia. Hope that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay.
I got fascinated when you mentioned about the Indian architecture at the main door of the beautiful Masjid Wilayah. The craftsmanship of embedding semi or precious stones onto another slab of stone or marble is called pietra dura. You can see this technique from the Mughal architecture in many parts of the palaces in the forts at Delhi, Agra, Jaipur especially on the exterior and interior of Taj Mahal. The style of the three arches are unique on their own and have resemblance of the Moroccan architecture. It's indeed beautiful. The dome and semi domes above the main prayer hall reminds me of the blue mosque and Hagya Sophia in Istanbul. Like you said, you can see few types of architecture at that mosque, Turkiye, Moroccan, Mughal.
It certainly was a most beautiful mosque and you are correct that some of the influences were from both the taj mahal and the blue mosque. Such a fascinating blend ❤
@@KrishB74 Wonderful. 😁
Thanks for showing kl. Kampung baru is the last malay village in kl. Hope the villagers can hold on to it. Many want to tear it down to build more buildings.
We are back in KL next year in Feb and want to go back to Kampung Baru in the evening to immerse ourselves more in this wonderful place.
❤❤❤
Kampung Baru will come alive during evening n night, hotspot for Malay/Melayu in centre KL. And yes it is one of the most valuable land but most of its residents still want to preserve it. Also you visited the Federal Mosque (Masjid Wilayah).
where did you get your information's about Kampong baru from.. Kampong baru is worth at least 10 billion and rising and not as you said 1 billion.. the entire area has already designated as the future city expands with many 400 metre towers.. every household in that area is already a multimillionaire
Wikipedia says USD1.4 billion but that is amazing that it is worth so much more 😮. Truly a fascinating part of Kuala Lumpur.
Thanks, we said "over" a Billion. Which 10 Billion is more than 1 😆
You’re only a multimillionaire once you sold and received it into your bankaccount. Until then it is all speculation and nothing more. Also, be aware the price per sqft in the area is far less than KLCC, despite its location right behind KLCC. And the demand is just not there. Even in KLCC itself, the price per sqft is not increasing, inflation and a weak currency and a lack of demand being the reasons.
Wilayah persekutuan mosque. Not nasional mosque.
Apologies, you arr right. We went to both but only filmed one.
Nice video
Such a fun and vibrant city with so much to offer ❤
Have fun in KL Malaysia 🇲🇾
Welcome to kl
This was one of my favourite places in Malaysia 😊
Great info lots to see in Melaka

I would love to go back, could spend hours wandering the pretty streets 😊

We love Malaysia and although our time there is over, we will be back next year for 6 to 8 weeks going from Borneo all the way back to Langkawi.
