Looking for a gun. I have a riffe euro 120. Thinking of getting a 130 you said it’s your go to gun. How does the raider 55 or maurauder 55 compare? Going to target wahoo cobia and big groupers as well as dolphin😂. Ps we don’t say dolphin fish just dolphin.

Good reason to have a good dive light onboard, never know when it might come in handy, good thing you were successful at recovering the fish without getting hurt, dealing with lines during the day can be a hassle, dealing with lines from more than 1 gun in the dark can be deadly

I don't get second shooting with a reel gun. Seems like asking to lose a gun, or worse, get wrapped in all that extra line as you're pulling it up. I second shoot mine with a breakaway setup and just a floatline. I clip the floatline to my existing buoy setup so if the first shot tears out, I'm still on the right gear. At that point you can clip the kill buoy to whichever line you'd rather pull the fish up with. I whiffed a layup shot on a similar size fish well after sunset once. Maybe it was for the best lol
