Hey Codye Black , remember when 1Sg Wallen held NCOs and soldiers accountable during OIF 1 ? He was definitely a good leader. Very competent and led the company through a difficult deployment

I will never forget that man he and so many from 194 Mp co made such a huge impact on me. Truly shaped me into the leader I became.

I felt I learned a lot from Codye Black and for those of us who actually paid attention during Basic Training got a lot of it. I felt like your passion to lead us was to do what was best for us. Even though I had trouble with some things. I felt like I was well prepared not only for my unit but for the my life outside of the military. Look to hear more in the future.

Hey great episode. Keep up the momentum. Leadership when I came in the Army in 2002 was about being tough on Soldiers to make them better. Learn by mistakes. You screw up you get the smoke but you knew how to fix it. The difference now is now hard consequences for your actions and the people put in charge don’t have your best interest. I knew as a private if someone messed with me there would be hell to pay because my team or squad leader would not have others messing with their Soldiers. Further if you needed something they would take care of you even if it was money or time out of their own personal bank. The Army is vastly different and that’s why I walked. Among other things.

@@RobShaffer-mc7en great comment and yes one of the biggest reasons why I walked just terrible leadership with that me me mentality

@@BattlefieldBanterPodcast terrible leadership, and the civilianizing of our old organization made it impossible. Being told you was a 13 year agent you aren’t qualified because you’re military demoralized people. Too much politics and no enough action. Also when you confront leaders about their missteps they become butt hurt and you’re being disrespectful and you get outcasted.
