Hello! My name is Brenda Pearson and I am an Elementary ELL Teacher in an urban city in Washington State. My school is very diverse with over 450 students in grades K-6. We use the Journeys Curriculum for Kindergarten and grades 1 and 2 and Expeditionary Learning for Grades 3-6. The purpose of my RUclips channel is to share the Power Point lessons I've created and have used in the classroom and in small groups. They are designed with ELL's in mind. For most of the lessons posted, I've included learning targets and success criteria-- aligned with the CCSS, and ELPS. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Special Education in 1996. In 2002, I received my MA in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and completed the ELL endorsement program from Western Governors' University in 2015. My teaching certificate has endorsements in Elementary Education K-8, Special Education K-12 and English Language Learners K-12.
