As a memeber of the L.M.C she is always an inspiration to us! The movement was created also for people who can have a family life while taking care of the members in their own family, poorest of the poor spiritually and also being support towards the congregation of charity.
This film is 100% falls. She was a money and Power hungry crazy psychopath that watched people suffer and die, she enjoyed their suffering. what A false representation of a sicko 🤦🏻♀️
Thank u so much for uploading mother teresa video. It's really touch my heart. while I watch I was crying .I want to be like mother teresa. pls pray for me.
+florence grt You can be like mother theresa any day. Just hang out with dictators and kill terminally ill cancer patients. And no - I will not pray for you. First of all it is not good for you according to science, second it is pointless as there is no one in the other end of the phone.
Quite a lot in this film is misleading. Not sure if the producers and director just wanted to provide an general 'impressionistic' view of Mother Teresa's personal vocation and the founding of the Missionaries of Charity, within the limits of the project, but a bit more attention to detail and few more authentic facts could have cleared some of the confusion that can be seen in the arguments posted below. First, it's true that Mother Teresa came to India as a Loretto nun - a teaching order for prestigious schools (though there was a Loretto 'free-school' and another 'lower/middle income school in Calcutta, there were more schools for children of the wealthy Loretto House in Calcutta, in Darjeeling, and Shimla - she felt 'called upon' to 'do more' for the poor because Loretto nuns usually travelled in 'first class' by train or taxi. THAT ostentatious waste of money clashed with Mother Teresa's concepts of 'poverty and suffering'. Second, when she first 'branched out on her own'... there were NO Loretto (or any other) students volunteering to drop out of school to join her. ANY SUCH MOVE would have stopped her work 'dead in its tracks' with protests from parents! School kids did volunteer to help during holiday breaks, but they certainly didn't bring donations of food. Also, the location of her 'first house', and clinic, seem to be in the 'better part' of Calcutta (if it was even filmed in that city), when in FACT she was allowed to use a rundown dwelling and warehouse free of charge IF she could render them habitable. Although she managed to enlist the help of some local doctors...events like her commandeering an ambulance seem to border on fiction. AND, her only involvement with children was in offering them literacy and numeracy education in a 'street school' just off the pavement - I believe she enticed them to attend classes with food that she solicited from bazaar stalls, but the most she could manage were snacks. Her most notable contribution to the destitute, poor and sick of Calcutta was to care for them and provide them with a bath/wash. shelter, bedding and simple food, so that they could die in peace and dignity. Many lepers sought her assistance... As word of her work spread, more and more people turned up believing that they could get medical treatment; she hardly ever turned anyone away, but never gave the false impression of offering clinical services. As a teenager I volunteered to help with washing and feeding lepers in her first 'hospice. I lived two blocks away from her 'Mother House' and saw it's transformation from a dingy dwelling into an almost respectable one, that had started with 5 'sisters' and expanded to about 30. The movie starts before Indian independence - before my birth. I left India in the second half of the 1960s in my early teens. I'm not sure exactly when Mother Teresa left Loretto, nor when she was permitted to form the Missionaries of Charity. But from the age of 7 I became aware of her community of nuns around the neighbourhood, and it was slow going and an up hill battle for her. Before her name and work achieved notoriety... I remember businessmen, landlords and others ducking and hiding when she appeared because she was likely to attempt to squeeze them for money or property. Had she been less firey and assertive by nature I doubt she'd have got very far. In my observations of her interactions with most people (other than the poor, sick and dying) she could be a bully and even punitive, but she mostly seemed patient and kind to me. However, is she worthy of sainthood? I'd say "No, she was much too human, and intolerant of the human failings of her sisters, and at times she was very harsh in her treatment of them."
Some of these hateful comments are SO offensive. I pray for whoever wrote them-your thoughts and minds are in a very HORRIBLE place that you would write such things about such an amazing human being who did so much good in the world. I am TERRIBLY offended by your words and hope that you will someday realize the darkness and untruth about what you are saying
People are people, wherever you go. Culture, goodness and charity have always been in short supply. Whereas, nastiness (of whatever description) "enjoys" a huge oversupply. Face it, one of our main sources of fun is insult, and the equally venomous response to insult (which describes your response). It's all about fighting, and fighting back...
I was very fortunate to be a Le yo see and hear Mother Teresa speak in Charlotte NC .She wax only about 5 ft tall but has a strong voice. it was a honor to be there
56:02: "Where there is desperation, may I bring HOPE; where there is sadness, let me bring JOY. Allow me to CONSOLE rather than to be consoled; to UNDERSTAND rather than to be understood; to LOVE rather than be loved; because GIVING is receiving; because it is in FORGIVING that we are forgiven; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life." .
this was wonderful story about a wonderful lady and all she wanted was please GOD and help the helpless and love the unloved she her self was a gift from GOD jest think how this world be if there were more people like her she jest wanted to do GOD'S work she was truly a tool used by GOD.
"To me, there is no difference. A Christian must be a good Christian, a Muslim must be a good Muslim, a Hindu must be a good Hindu." So people don't need Christ? That's just so wrong and goes directly against Christian teachings.
appelsinsaft This is irrelevant, since blessed Mr. Teresa was a Catholic and I'm a Catholic, this is our internal Catholic disagreement. But I'll answer your question anyway: "Will it still be a problem?" No, it won't. If Christians are wrong and atheists are right, then nothing ultimately matters and everything is "vanity of vanities, all is vanity."
+standev1 I think very much matters very much even though I am an atheist. I think nothing matters if there is a god. Why bother, he/she/it has already made up his mind about everything. Thank you for answering me. You are mainly atheistic yourself. The only thing that differs you and me is one god. And we know several thousand gods that you and me does not believe in like poseidon, odin and buddah. So I think we are quite close. Have a great christmas!
appelsinsaft "I think very much matters very much even though I am an atheist." But ultimately it doesn't. We all end up in grave and that's it. "I think nothing matters if there is a god." Your eternal life ultimately depends on what you do in this temporary life and how you use your free will. "You are mainly atheistic yourself. The only thing that differs you and me is one god" Ba-dum-ts. :) This is good to make a joke, but not as a serious argument. You can't call monotheist "almost atheist" in all seriousness. It's like calling a brunette almost bald, because he lacks hair of any other color except black. Have a blessed Christmas (Christ's Mass)! I invite you to visit a Catholic church on that day, you might like the beautiful music and singing.
+standev1 This format is useless for lengthy discussions. But I would like to say that everything that matters is now! And that brings great responsibility. Free will is an illusion if there is a god that will fry you forever if you do not do as he will. And he already know where you are going and he doesnt do anything about it...not very nice is it? Anyways. I know that I do good if I wish you a peaceful christmas time. So that is what I do :)
mother Teresa was a great women and inspiration to the world more people should be like her to care about the world she was one of the most giving and kind people the world has ever seen ( mother Teresa was Albanian)
+Rushid Tahiri Moder Teresa was a friend of poverty, not the poor. She meant that suffering is a gift from god. How insane do you have to be to preach such lunacy?
lunacy? im saying she was a good women and a inspiration to the world whats your problem? and she raised tons of money for poor people around the world
+appelsinsaft the real question is, how holy do you have to be to understand what it truly means to carry your cross. she understood and apparently you do NOT.
Define "holy". And by "truly carry the cross" you mean let the people you prey upon die in their filth while you fly private jets around the world? When she got ill she was of course treated in a very expensive private hospital and not by her own people. Is that what defines "holy" or to "carry the cross"?
Just think, if everyone were like Mother Theresa, what a wonderful world it would be. However, one may only become like her once they start to follow HIM.
May Jesus bless all the ppl who taken care of dis film n drawn The Great Mother Theresa life.. Her boldness her passion towards poor her lvu n commitment towards kids n her help towards sick n needy is a great example. She left a great love of Jesus on earth in exchange of her life.. :-) I jus loved it n I jus live in it.. :-*
Mother Theresa is an inspiring blessed women for everyone.. for each village city state country if v hv a persn like Mother Theresa den believe me its truly a heaven came down.. I jus lvu her nature n her personality towards human beings..
Her name is no longer Mother Teresa. She has been beautified so her name is now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. Her next step will be sainthood - (she will become Saint Teresa - although there already is one!!!! There are over 2,000 Saints (no list of saints is ever kept as that would not be "God-like") but that can take from 2 - 3 years (very fast) to a century or more!!!!!!!!!! There is no telling how long it will take - because EVERY DAY of her life must be examined by the cardinals tasked with her sainthood. And only 1 will look at everything from the Devils perspective (it is NEVER known who that will be). He will be "The Devil's Advocate"!! And YES - that is where we get the phrase!!!!!!!!!!
We should all remember the poor and give no matter how little we have, especially if we've been blessed by God,Mother Teresa was an amazing woman who gave her life to charity and asked for nothing in return,it's an aspiring story of an amazing woman,we should all strive to make a differance in someone's life, love your fellow man,and give to the poor in jesus name,AMEM.

And the party 2 ? Please...
41:43 to 43:00 gave me goosebumps. "I'll only send them away when your mothers and sisters are able to do what that nun is doing."
