I love this boy so much 😭💕 he means so much to me. I'm so excited for his darkness arc and confronting all the feelings he's been suppressing. He's helped so many people its his turn to grow and let others in <3 At least he has Strelitzia. I can't wait to see how they interact with each other :)

Oh my god YES- finally someone who gets the Melody of Memory thing!!! I literally thought I was the only one who interpreted it that way because literally NO ONE was talking about it! I mean- literally having her turn into Sora, in her own mind, as she battles a representation of her childhood trauma in the form of Xehanort??? Hello-??? It’s very obviously symbolism- showing her tendency to hold onto him as a way of coping with her fears and insecurities. It annoys me so much how people just flatten her down to “Sora’s love interest” and leave it at that, completely ignoring the way this perception she likely has of herself (because I feel that she does kind of view herself as the “damsel in distress” in a way, the same way the narrative intentionally presents her as to the audience and subverts in a very interesting (but also missable ) way (if you’re assuming this is just simply her “role” and there’s nothing else to it)- as a response to all the trauma and danger she’s constantly been put through- I mean… how could she not at this point?) is shown to be actively hurting her and her ability to grow and cope with her emotions. It’s very interesting, and she’s far more complex of a character than people give her credit for! Man I really do hope they touch on this more in her training with Aqua… and I REALLY want her to interact with Ven! I feel like they have a lot in common, and it would be amazing for her to have more friends her age!

Anyways- I love Kairi so much! She really feels like the most grounded character out of all of them to me (Especially in a cast full of such vibrant people like Lea and Vanitas lmao-), and her character arc is a lot subtler than a lot of the others. It’s really fun to think about.
