@svhsblankenship actua;;y, the song is in 4/4 the entire time. They just end the phrases on the 4th beat and not the down beat.
Too much glitz and not enough technique... Practice my friend. God Bless.

Too much stick action and too many camera views. Nice set, doesn't mean nice cover I guess. Sorry man, focus more on playing! The point of covers is too enjoy doing the song yourself in a similar way. Not to show that you can twirl a drumstick your hand. I can do that too.
@svhsblankenship I just looked it up and everything is played on 4/4 and its a drum cover, the point was to show the changes in the song as it reached the climax and as the song was building up, I was as well.
The verses are in 4/4 the whole time. The backbeat on beat 4 is played on the kick instead of the snare, which makes it sound like a different meter. But it's 4/4.
