thanks for watching!
thanks for watching!
Ocean City Inlet Tog
TOG - AKA Blackfish, no matter the size, just a fun hard fighting fish to target this time of the year. Took a trip to Ocean City and fished the Inlet to see if we could find some of these awesome fish.

Made a trip back to the Concrete Ships @Kiptopeke State Park and Had a Day!!! Tried to target Sheepshead, Tautog and other bottom fish and came across a few Red Fish instead. Not mad about it. One of my favorite sessions.

We do have a pretty awesome tautog fishery here in Ocean City!! This video made me want to get out and target them! Might have to bring some sand fleas or green crabs along next bluefin tuna trip and if the tuna don't bite stop at a wreck and jig for some tog!! Awesome video man!!
@alwaysbentfishing Thanks, man! I didn't manage any keepers like I have previous years, but they are fun to target.
Great video. Love the light action setup!
@_yaknfish Thanks man; wish I could have hooked a larger fish to see if that setup would have handled it.
@TravelnFish need to take that set up with you to kiptopeke next time.
@_yaknfish lol, I don't think so, Mr. Funny Man
@@TravelnFish 😂😂
Hey now! I resemble that remark. Giving me PTSD with that comment! 😂
@@ccernigliaro Don't feel bad, I'm sure you understand from trying to take pics of your kids.
Beautiful fish. Congrats on the PB.
@TomyTekOutdoors Thanks man!
Fish on!🎣
Dammit, I’ve never seen a red that big
Monster fish to real in a tiny boat the nuts man congrats
Anybody know where I can find some 15 and 20 inch fish around here? LOL
Congrats again!!
Damm thats a big one
Gooooooddddnneesss ❤
Awsome!!!!! Great catch!!! 🎉🎉
Now that's a big beautiful red but it's disgusting to eat that size.
Now that's a big red
Big nasty full of worms but fun to catch. To eat I’ll take the specs and flounders
@@DoktoorTom Correct only fun to catch, not eat. She was revived and released.
Or an 18 inch red
Don't they have teeth? I thought I saw your hand in his mouth
@@G-DogomusPrime Red Fish don't have teeth. You can grip them in their mouth, no problem.
@@TravelnFish I live in Florida and I feel like I caught a red and it had fangs in the front. Unless I'm thinking of a different fish, but my friend called it a red.
@@G-DogomusPrime fangs in the front sounds like a Speckled Trout
Very nice
@japapelili Thank you!
My man!!
Did you keep that one to eat? You could have a party with that fish love watching you catching fish aunt Jean❤
@@jeansavoie8897 No, I did not keep that fish. It's a breeder and best to put that fish back. The fish wouldn't be any good to eat that big anyway.
Part 1: Awesome catches. I didn't know Sheepshead get that big. My PB is 19 inches. I know you ice those arms that night. Get video.
Haha, thanks, man! So the biggest ones I've ever seen have been caught at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and this spot was just a touch North of that. You're right, my arms were sore after catching that Bull Red and the other Reds along with the Sheep. Thanks for watching and throwing me a comment. 👍
Well let me tell you I watched every second of this video! Well done with freaking two PBs. I could see it in your face that you were loving every second of it. Is poor guys around you were probably like.... This guy must be an expert! Really wish I could have been out there with you but maybe one day we'll get out there together! Great video once again and I'll be watching this again for sure!
Thanks man! Thanks for pushing me to get back to that spot and make something happen. The experience is definitely in my top 5. As you know, I had hit kind of a slump about mid-season, but this trip definitely made up for it. We'll definitely get out there at some point and get on them together.
Man what a great video! My adrenaline was going when you were fighting that bull red! My favorite video of yours 🔥
@GillRaker79 Thanks man, it's probably my new favorite fishing session.
@@TravelnFish it would be mine for sure 👍
Man that thing is UNREAL! Showed my son the pic and he said, “JEEZ, that looks like a dinosaur!” Can’t wait to watch the full length video after work
Thanks man! My PB Sheepshead for sure. The Full Video is long, but a lot of action.
Wow I didn't know they get that big. Huge fish
To you make the insert plate your self
@DanielADOLFSON-b4k I do. It's not perfect but works ok.
Can you please take a picture of of the bottom of trolling motor insert that you lined with all the gasket Because I have two inserts that I got, but when I put them in some water gets through what I want to do what you do because you have a nice system thanks again
@DanielADOLFSON-b4k Here's a link to a couple of pics I uploaded to an Amazon photo album. Hope it helps.www.amazon.com/photos/shared/gknDheRmRke_RU8LQ3FBTg.-ZjQZ7G1bftH5EoACbcFtO I also included a picture of 2 trolling motors that I use without all of the support stabilizing PBC structure. I found that structure is not needed as the weight of the motor holds it in place. Also I put gasket on the kayak itself so that gasket is up against gasket when the motor is in place.
Well, I guess you’re right. You get to do both lucky you and you deserve it.
Love watching you fish, but I’d rather have a camera in my hand and taking pictures fishing is not my favorite thing to do. Grandpa loves to fish.
I like watching you fishing better than me out there fishing I would not be happy but the fish seem to love you and you have a good time which you deserve
Great video, thank you. Now that you’ve got your motor dialed in, what do you find you use more - pedal or motor?
@eugene5438 Thank you for your kind words. That's a very good question, and actually, I use my trolling motor, pedal drive, and paddle quite equally. It all depends on what I'm targeting, what kind of water I'm in, and so on. I use my trolling motor a lot. Trolling for Striped Bass and also just to get around. Certain water I fish, I actually prefer using my pedal drive. And lately, I've been targeting Northern Snakehead, which is in very skinny water, so I use my paddle. So in reality, it is very situational depending on what my fishing mission happens to be on any given occasion. I've also done an additional trolling motor setup. I call it 2.0. The video is also on my channel. If you view other fishing videos on the channel, you'll see how I rotate through all 3 methods of propulsion.
@@TravelnFish Thanks for your reply. I took my PDL106 out for the first time this weekend and loved it. This winter I plan to do trolling motor build. I'll check out your other videos!
Man it looked like you were fighting a log the way it held itself strong for a minute. Definitely worth the grind!
Yeah, it wasn't hung on the weeds; just a good fighter. Gonna try for them again tomorrow. I've been stuck in a drought lately.
@@TravelnFish I hear you. I’ve been out a handful of times trying to get a snake with no luck. I did have a few short strikes though, so I know they’re there!
@GillRaker79 Well, I've been on the struggle bus with all the fish I've been targeting lately. I went out just to catch white perch and couldn't even do as well as I expected. I've also been out a couple times for some of those better sized small mouth bass and have only got a couple of small ones. I haven't posted any videos lately because none of the content has been worth it.
@@TravelnFish damn, sorry to hear that yeah I’ve been beating the skunk by going out for an hour or so every few days after work. Half the time I don’t get anything and my full dedicated days have been pretty unsuccessful. It’s that late summer slump I guess
Best how to video I have seen on RUclips. I was looking at these carts for my HT 136. Thanks!
@bigfooting Thanks, it's still getting the job done.
Very very beautiful shots filmed in this video. Love it, can't wait to experience that first hand.
