I watch these films and it always takes me back to when My grandpa and I would watch them together. They were already 20+ years old but, I Loved them. Nothing takes you back like a scent, a song or a movie. Thanks Grandpa for introducing me to John Wayne movies

Gail Russell was excellent in this movie. It's so sad that this beautiful woman's life was destroyed by Hollywood

He was just naive all around from rejecting the safe offer to thinking he was locking a suitcase to assuming that jerk would have used his correct name to check in a hotel 😣

I have mixed feelings about this movie. It's well made and well acted. I don't like the antigun sentiment that runs throughout this movie. Without Quirt Evans gun, there would've been no water for the Quakers. But, Wayne produced this movie, so I suppose at theis time in his life, Wayne probably shared those anti gun sentiments.. Take away every Wayne movie where Wayne has a gun and Wayne doesn't have much of a career. I also feel terribly sad that Gail Russell became a raging alcoholic and died at 36 due to her crippling shyness in front of the cameras. She should have been a school teacher, wife and mother. I wish I could've been her husband and protected her from her shyness. She'd have lived longer. But, I value her movies and have seen most of them. I love looking at her.

My great aunt Eleanor plays piano 49 minutes into this not so great wartime comedy. She had a hard life. We were glad to be able to see her. Thanks for posting.

While I appreciate the restoration, the brightly colored watermark 1/3 the way up the screen visible for the entire movie is so distracting it makes it unwatchable for me. Thanks anyway.

This movie is so WONDERFUL! The writing is top drawer and the acting is superb. All the characters are bang on, from the annoying Irene to the ice-queen Cornelia. The ditzy Mrs. Bullock to the downtrodden ever-faithful Mr. Bullock. And Mischa Auer as Carlo - what a character! His pantomime as a Gorilla is so 'on' it's scary! Think this is my 5th time watching this fairy tale and I'm sure...not my last! Thanks for the fine quality upload (slight video glitch when Cornelia goes into Godfrey's room with the necklace - plays twice). 💖 🇨🇦

this is a favorite western of mine. All the characters are outstanding.... And then there is John Wayne. The golden age for sure
