Wow what a lot of info … it was fun seeing you try so much !
@@DianaGunderson-o9n Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.🥰
This was a great video. I enjoyed seeing all the things you freeze dried. You should make a cookbook with all your wonderful recipe ideas.
@@donnawitbrodt3138 Oh you are so kind! My only problem is I don't measure anything and if I make the same thing twice, it will vary in taste because I improvise with different spices. Thank you so much for watching. Blessings. 🥰
Good morning Kelli I had heard you were getting some snow possible! It is currently snowing or at least trying to here! Planning for events like this are great for people and pets. I am glad there are places to warm up and get a bite to eat if they need it! Stay blessed!
@@rachaelsupadventures Hi Rachael. I hope that you are doing well friend. I have really enjoyed seeing all the videos you are posting. Stay warm.🥰
Happy to see you, my friend!! Hope all is well with you and your family!! Glad to hear that you weathered the cold/snowstorm just fine. Loved watching you play in the snow. It was weird seeing southern states get more snow than us up here in the north. Our weather has definitely not been the norm. You have a nice variety of survival/med/home remedy books in your prepper library. Thanks for sharing the Guava Bars recipe, they look so yummy and easy to make. I love the idea of making the crescent roll personal pizzas. Great video and until next time; stay safe, healthy and God bless you and your family!!
@@jenmag0313 Hi sweet friend. I'm hanging in there but my hubby is in the hospital and I've just been in survival mode. I hope you are doing well. I can't believe it's February. Scary how fast time flies.

@@betterlivingonabudget I hope you are doing well. Corey is in the hospital. He has been in there for a week. He may be there as few as 2 more weeks or as long as 2 more months. He is stable now. Long story. I've just been in the weeds and am way behind on video uploads. Blessings 🙌
@@Livingforgiven Oh no!! I so sorry to hear Cory has hit such a serious health bump. I'll add him to my prayer list! 🙏🙏♥
It is crazy how much you can dry in that thing and actually some of it rehydrates and looks fresh. I love my little dehydraters, but everything comes out slightly less than due to the heat. Thank you for sharing.
@@thriftymonkey7961 Dehydrators take some getting used to but I love them for things like jerky and fruit leather and other great snacks. Many fruits i like better dehydrated over freeze dried. Thank you for watching my video. Have a blessed day.😊

Great to see you again! As I started listening to your video my husband says to me, Isn't her hair different? I was shocked that he noticed. lol Your hair looks great! Glad to see you preparing for the cold snap headed your way. Love your ideas on pantry staples if you lose your power. Every time I watch you caring and preparing for the animals and other individual it makes me so happy!! I wish people would learn kindness from you. Love seeing all your fur babies safe and warm in the house. My husband and I did laugh when you said that the Northerners think that the Southerners are whimps. Being from NW Ohio I probably have said that in my much younger years. lol However I do not and have not said that in many, many years. I am concerned when areas are not prone to be prepared for certain weather conditions. Many have never experienced or know what to do in these cases. It can be very devastating. Please stay safe and warm and thank you for helping out others in your community!! ❤ See you later!
@@jenmag0313 Hey sweet friend. You are too kind as always. I usually just have my hair up in a sloppy bun. It's naturally wavy if I don't flat iron it. I will need to wear it natural more often. You are the third person to say something. 🥰 Hope you are well.😊

How BIG is your bug out bag? Are you taking all that with you?
@@nancyprovost1878 Bug out bags can vary in size depending on how much weight someone is willing to carry. Maybe 3-5 days worth of food and water would be ideal. The foods I showed in this video were just a few ideas of things someone could take in their bags that are ready to open and eat without any complicated cooking.
I started going through my canned foods that I’ve stored Anna found outdated cans. Just crazy. I opened a can of pineapple two years past date. Are some. Was still good but I could taste the metal from the can. So now I’m going to store some different items that has linger shelf life.
@@jacquelyndevitte4992 ive heard that pineapples and tomatoes are the ones we shouldn't let go too far past their best buy dates because of the high acid content. You were right though to just test it out first. We are blessed with our lives senses to realize if a food is still good or if it spoiled.😊
Good job kelly! Thanks for your inspiration ❤

@@MyLittleRealities Awwww, thank you so much. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. 🥰
Great video - I am going to be making that corn dish soon, looked wonderful. From me, who lives in wildfire country...great bugout advice. If you can't take your pets or if you have large animals (maybe you are not home when disaster strikes) have a plan for them if you are not there, even just having someone opening gates and doors and letting them run away is better than the alternative. Also bring some dishes and cutlery with you and pots to cook in, Wipes. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Hopefully we will never have to use any of this advice, but good to be prepared.
@@MyMountainHomeandKitchen Thank you for watching. When my husband retires in a few years we were planning to relocate to East Tennessee. But between Helene and all the wildfires, I'm trying to figure out if any place is truly safe anymore but we should definitely be prepared for anything and know exit plans and have maps for when cell towers are down. Your bug out ideas are great. My heart breaks for all victims of these disasters but especially the wildlife and the animals who are stranded and can't plan ahead and get out. Stay safe and be blessed.🙏
Yyyaayyy - I was so happy to see this video pop up first-in-queue in m feed this morning! Maybe YT execs finally wised up to how horrible their algorithm is changes were for all of us because just since the New Year I'm suddenly getting more of my fave / subbed channel's videos in my feed. 😃 I made a bug-out-bag video several months ago, and it dawned on me the other day I forgot to put any underwear in there, so thanks for the reminder! This is also a good reminder that I need to pull my emergency food basket off the shelf and go through it for expiration dates! Have a blessed week ahead, my friend!
@@betterlivingonabudget I hope I'm not only showing up now because I'm tagging the three rivers challenge. Hopefully I won't go back to being invisible again when it's over. Hey friend! Long time no see. Thank you for stopping by. I hope your new year is off to a good start. Blessings.
Good to see you! Great video. I appreciate you showing us the items that you will no longer be storing long term. I am guilty of buying some food items in a large quantity that was on sale too. Then we find out that we don't like it, and it really was a waste of money even though it was on sale. I have definitely learned a lot over the years and still learning. lol It's nice taking this journey with others and seeing the prepping life through their experiences. Great tips regarding bug out bags. You never know when you will need them and being prepared as much as possible is all we can do. (Believing in Jesus and praying too!) Have a great week!!
@@jenmag0313 Hey sweet friend! We are definitely all in this journey together when it comes to being prepared but not wasteful. I hope all is well with you.🥰
Hey!!!!!
@@crazydee1955 Hello!!
I decided at last minute that I would do the challenge. When I let Charley know he said why don't we stock up in January then do the challenge in February! LOL I told him that is not how it works! However as fast as I decided to do it I changed my mind. I am really concerned with what it going on right now and felt strongly that adding what I can to my pantry was more important. But for cooking in January I will focus on the older foods I already have instead of the new I bring in! I have been praying about this and that is where I was lead. I know the dock workers may potentially go back on strike. Everything was pushed back and put on hold until 5 days before Trump gets inaugurated into office. He is really going to have his hands full and I personally think they have put all this in his way in hopes of his failure. The part that makes me the most mad is that trying to hurt trump just hurts all of us little people! I will continue to prayer and my list just grows for things to pray about!
@@rachaelsupadventures I hear you. I've had to turn off the news. I know that doesn't make things go away but it's overwhelming. I'm still so sad over the victims of Helene. There is so much going on around the world and in our own lives. We have been trying to dwindle down our pantry anyway so we can move onto our RV in a couple of years. So I thought what the heck, film the pantry staples I'm using anyway to cook.😊
@@Livingforgiven I have been trying to use the pantry stuff as well! We do not watch the news here but I get emails to advise as to what is going on. Living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan sometimes seems like it is a different world. It is quieter, slower, the people seem nicer and the air smells good! This makes me forget the rest of the world sometimes. There are a lot of things to keep us busy praying that is for sure. Helene victims for sure still in the middle of crisis and now California. Snow to a lot of places that normally do not get it! I was glad to see your video!
@rachaelsupadventures Thank you sweet friend. May your 25 be blessed and protected.

Good morning sweet Kelli ♥I am loving your t-shirt! I feel like if I hugged you right now you would smell like artificial strawberries! That is a good memory by the way! Do you remember their scent from back in the day lol way back for me! I loved those dolls!
@@rachaelsupadventures Hi Rachael! I actually do remember the smell and I have a perfume that smells just like she did. I had all the dolls. Such a great memory being a Gen X kid.🍓🍰
@@Livingforgiven I personally think us Gen Xers had the best childhoods. We actually got to be kids in my opinion. We didn't have computers, cell phones and social media. We were tough and resilient. It was safe to play outside until the street lights came on. We actually had to talk to people face to face lol We actually played outside more than inside. And our toys didn't do all the thinking for us! We grew up and lived through lead based paint, Metal slides, Johnny jump ups, merry-go-rounds, baby walkers, no seat belt laws, no car seats for babies, baby swings, Bumper pads for cribs, blankets on babies while sleeping, Babies on backs, then sides, then tummys and not sure what it is now! childrens aspirin. And now they have a vaccine for everything including chicken pox. I do not know about you but I had a lot of cousins so when someone in the family got chicken pox they made it a potluck so anyone who had not had it would get exposed! Now no one gets it naturally. Remember rotary phones! Imagine having to call 911 on it! Or Party line phones! The things we have seen growing up!

See you in 2025!!
@@jenmag0313 You are always welcome to ask anything you want. I did explain further about the dog but I edited out so much. My video started out to be over 50 minutes and I wanted to get it down to 20 minutes. So it turns out the dog did have an owner. An investigation was opened because he bit 3 people. They had to quarantine the dog for 10 days. No one followed up with me. I have a case number but haven't followed up. I hope he was returned to his owner and not put down but I also hope owner takes measures to ensure he never gets out again. If he attacked another animal, or a child or an elderly person there may have been a different outcome. When we went to ER, we had to leave our keys with vet so animal control could throw treats with tranquilizers in there to knock him out and get him to where they took him to quarantine. They said he woke up in truck and started slamming up against the walls. I do feel a little bad because he was fine while he drove around with us but he definitely got spooked at the vets office. I hope you and your family have a blessed New Year.
I only have room for two boxes. I am mainly filling it with canned mackrel, packets of toast with pumpkin seeds, cosmetics, instant mashed potatoe, coffee, tea, sugar, spices, and some tools. I hope to create a bit more space as I continue.
