Some Gold, then back to the ledge

So I head up to Oallen Ford to sluice for gold and have a quick cast for trout and then make my way down to the coast. Once on the ledge I cast for Australian Samon.

great video
Which area of Australia you in mate. Cheers
@@grunty3743 Batemans bay area.👍
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 beautiful area
What were you catching your yakkas on?
I just use bread crumbs with any fish scraps a bit of sand and water for burly and just mould some bread onto the hook or small bits of squid. They don't seem to fussy.
I subscribed friend great video stay connected friend 👍👍
nice fishing i like it hehe
Good to see someone else who knows how tasty long Tom arr
Hi mate where did you get your sluicer?
Bought it online from Gold Rat.👍

The town, The Entrance near Terrigal.👍
F uck that pelican is a laugh
What’s your rod setup? If ya don’t mind me asking looks heaps good.
Nasci 2500 8 pound j braid 10 pound leader Daiwa Aird 7 foot rod 3-5 kg Cheers👍👍
Got me keen on entrance fishing good on ya boys!!!!!! Madd catches!!!!
Nice work on the swan and the bass.
Hey mate I know this is a bit late but where in robina is this cause me and my mates have been looking for a bass spot
Robina Lake off Robina parkway.👍
The Amber Ale and Lazer Black and gold are slayers as well in double clutch 95mm but always upgrade hooks
Great session on the rocks, what braid n lures u using n what size ?cheers
Fishing fairly heavy in the hope of hooking kingfish. My Saragossa 20000 has 65 pound braid and the lures are ranging from 35 gram rapala up to 60 gram metals. The heavy gear allows me to get the fish up the the rocks. I would fish lighter if I was closer to the water.👍👍
big heavy blue water sail boat, no probs handling that
Go for yabbies m8.
What raider model is that please mate?
Codraider bc 642 : 6-12kg lure weight: 15-40gm. 👍👍
Nice one man i should have fished the Bidge for opening.
Thanks man, nice on the river. Bring on a bountiful season.👍👍
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 Yes absolutely. Im heading down in a couple of weeks hopefully i have some success.
That's 24 minutes I'll never get back.
I think he was a fukin idiot ....he was really pinching into that outgoing tide ..and should have comre in only at the top of the tide
Wow 🤩
Looked epic GAV! 🙌🏾
Wicked mate. Arthur river?
South Esk near Fingal. 👍
What colour mate do you find most effective?
I haven't tried all the colours, but had great success with the ghost perch, ghost wakaski, ghost ayu and laser ayu. Best success at the Pin last couple hours of the run out tide. Lure should be hitting the bottom for best success 👍
Try the Amber Ale and Laser Black and gold in 95mm
Be amazing to have someone to learn from and do this with guessing to old at 62
Nice Gav, still heartbroken cause I couldn’t join…
Hopefully next time, was a good trip.👍
Great vid mate. Hope you have been getting a few.
Thanks mate👍
Hey mate thanks for the tips!Got my first flathead on the 95mm ghost perch but saw a few flatties following it but they just won’t strike, any tips to get them to strike?
Some times they just won't eat anything!! Really all you can do is vary your retrieve speed maybe stop the lure if you see them following and give it some light twitchs but leave it in their face. Just have to keep casting. Good luck.👍
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 thanks mate!

I know this video is 2yo but where do u find a nice lil beach like that at the pin. I’ve never been able to find anything as remotely pleasing and relaxing as that little pocket.
Fishing along the jumpinpin channel near where it opens to the ocean.👍
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 I’m new to lure fishing and have the same lure (yet to use it) as everyone says they are good, also have the rapala rip stop as that also looks promising . What sort of technique do u use with it for retrieve? And go pro is that a hero8?
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 did u find any particular tide to work better. I’ve been doing some research and found some really contradictory information especially for flathead
@@Shreko84 try and have the wind behind you for long casts. Generally fish in water less than a meter deep, just raise the rod tip up with a twitch twitch pause and wind up the slack. Do it again all the way back in. It's OK if the lure is hitting the sandy bottom. Cast along the edge of weed beds if possible or gutters. Gopro 7black.👍
@@Shreko84 we would fish the last couple of hours of run out tide usually on the flats, look for bait fish and keep moving searching for the fish.
Awesome Catch Gold Coast crocodiles
Brilliant work skipper
You need to work your retreive better no wonder ya get no fish
Bit of a shame we can’t see anything mate. I’m not impressed and that matters baus.
Great video as always mate
It’s about 60 foot deep there now went past there two weeks ago Green zone 40 foot where the white markers is
Isn't it illegal to use a sleuth in Tasmania?
My understanding is only mechanical sluice like high bankers are illegal. 👍
Is Scott your Brother still lives down the Gold Coast ??
Yes
G'day mate lockdown has been a problem Lucky to live on the Gold Coast no lockdowns Had a few times for a week or so but was still aloud to go for a fish Have you relocated from Queensland Beautiful places to have a fish Well stay safe Tight lines 🍺🍺👍
Hi mate, yeah moved to Canberra a year ago. Been a tough gig moving interstate through lockdowns. Can be a tough area to fish with plenty of rain, the rivers flooding and getting used to cold winter mornings. Looking forward to next year and getting a bit more access to the coast and surrounding areas. Missing the Gold Coast life, such a great place to fish. Looking forward to seeing your adventures out on the Broadwater. Tight lines😉👍
Talked about politics and corona too much
Woodgate beach is absolutely beautiful
Love Woodgate beach, hope to get back there one day.
Pity about the fishing. Definitely need boat or kayak for theodolite. I grew up there, catch good Dart, Bream, and a few shovel nose sharks off the beach down past the boat ramp :)
Hi mate! Is this diving spot at the spit Gold Coast? Thanks in advance!
Sure is, go down at high tide. Less current and better visibility.👍
@@aussiefishing4wdadventures370 thanks mate, let’s go diving someday🤙🏽
@@weizeng8231 live in Canberra now mate.
Where about in mudgeeraba creek? Close to the highway ? Been looking for a good spot for a few months now but got nothing
Austinville
Powerboat would be upside down trying to go through that slowly while being overtaken by waves. Sailboats tend to do much better it seems. I think it is the large deep rudder. A powerboat could manage it by planting on the backside of a wave and riding through that way.
