    If you use very hot water over plastic it helps. Heat expands the plastic and it slips right out. Cooking oil spray works well instead of wiping.

    Really really nice....but just wanna know why my cement pots are not good for my plants? The soil in them gets fungus (becomes green) and the plant dies. While in the same circumstances, the plants in my clay pots are fresh and healthy and the soil in them is just fine. HELP.....!!!!!

    • @owen6017
      @owen6017 2 года назад

      I'm no plant expert or cement expert for that matter but I've made a few aquarium rocks and they need to cure in water for a long time as the ph of the concrete is very high. I'm assuming that effects the soil and kills the plant

    Once we see roots on the plant. Is it safe to cut off the nodes?

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

      I am confused I think by your question, wouldn’t cut off any nodes that it’s growing from! If you’re propagating it you do need nodes but I would still leave some in tact on the original plant

    Hi. Thanks for sharing. I want to try. Do you have an issue with developing gnats with the moisture content?

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

      Not as long as I let it dry out in between soaking it in the shower and use VERY well draining soil! I had a few come in with a new plant and used sticky traps. However, I have had an issue with them in the past and it was due to them being in the soil I was using and not falsely potting. I ended up switching all of my plants to terra-cotta or nursery pots and switched soil and no bad issues since!

  • @rubyjewells
    @rubyjewells 3 года назад

    Hi I am having the same problem with my plant. When you took the cuttings off did you just stick them in the soil? When did you water them? How much water at a time? Also do you just set the pot by the window? Thanks so much!!

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

      Sorry just seeing this! I have this one outside now , but it was inside at one point. Near a window ! My outdoor one is under cover , so it still gets shade and bright indirect light. I only water them when the soil dries out. (The bananas kind of get slightly withered if that makes sense) and I water until the water comes out the bottom of the pot. But they’re in cactus / succulent soil so it drains very fast. I have put them in water or directly in soil! Both work!

    • @rubyjewells
      @rubyjewells 3 года назад

      @@PlantedinPots ok so I can just take cuttings also with no roots and stick them directly in the soil ? Then water right away but not a lot of water? Sorry mine was so huge and healthy when I first bought it. After I transferred it that’s when it started dying. I think since I put it in a hanging planter I didn’t get enough soil on the top or something. But I’m wanting to just take the healthy parts at the bottom and cut them. So that’s what I’m wondering about. Thanks so much.

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

      Yes!! You definitely can! They propagate really easy. When I was first trying to propagate them I did summon water and some in soil just to see which worked best for me and both routed very well!

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

    Does it matter what direction the node is facing in the moss?

    • @PlantedinPots
      @PlantedinPots 3 года назад

      If you’re just laying a “stick” or “stump” in the moss horizontally , no , personally I don’t think so. If you’re putting it in a pot vertically, put the part that is going to grow facing up! (So if it’s a stick you cut from another plant, put it cut side down in the moss)! :)
