So very enjoyable! Ramsbottom is where I lived as a child. For a brief period as a schoolboy I actually took the steam train daily from Ramsbottom to Bury. The scenery is so lovely. As for the trains: it may be a cliché to say this but they are like living creatures, beautiful machines to behold.
Riding steam locomotives to school sounds like an amazing way to start a school day, and I agree that steam locomotives feel like more than just machines; each one has its own personality. Thanks for watching!

The reason I think the second one is cool is the acceleration and deceleration sounds. The first train has open gangways between carriages

Speed, check out the ICE in Europe that goes through a station at 200km/h. 140 m/h. Then accelerates to 300 km/h plus in the open. Magnetic, not a sound.
Unfortunately, the UK only has 1 300km/h line, and other trains at this station go 200 km/h.

Awsome stuff!!! But if this is going to be the main and permanent layout I recommend you change to larger points before it's too late. It's my biggest regret on my layout and if you have the space for it do it!!
This isn't my layout, I don't have a working transformer to power my layout yet. When it gets to the layout working, I'll have your advice to help me!
