Very proud of all 3 of you sisters for your proactiveness and courage and for raising OC and breast cancer awareness. 🩵🩵🩵🙏🏼✨💕 I am going in this Tuesday for removal of my Ovaries and removable of reminder of my fallopian tubes due to my mutation gene of the RAD51D gene which I just happen to find out about. I inherited the mutation gene from both my parents - This is how I found out I had this gene. I was in hospital in 2021 for a double Covid pneumonia and I was asked if I wanted to be part of the Genov blood study so I said yes bc I wanted to help the world with this Covid virus - to my surprise when I got home after 3 weeks in hospital of not being able to breath properly - I received a phone call from Gencov after 1 month home asking if I was interested in genetic testing bc my study came with it? I immediately said yes and I was off to my blood tests to get checked for genetic testing - turns out I have the RAD51D mutation gene. So even though I almost died from Covid, it also saved my life. 😏🙏🏼 I too plan on raising awareness for risk for Ovarian Cancer 🩵✨

I was at work and ended up putting hands on a white dude who kept calling me and my brother ni**ers. One of my white girl coworkers said I should've still been punished for it. Manager didn't take her seriously.

I could relate to that, specifically that "...do that unpaid job for us..." part, and when they were called out, the same people tried to brush it off as "unsolicited advice", knowing very well that none of that "unpaid" work I did was going to be included in my Biodata. A diversion tactic to keep you from doing your job to your true potential, and to keep you from being seen by the rest of the world.

Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse that's seen in abusive relationships. It's the act of manipulating a person by forcing them to question their thoughts, memories, and the events occurring around them. Gaslighting describes the systematic pattern of abuse by which the abuser manipulates factual information to give the victim the impression that they cannot trust their own senses. Most of us would recognise this as being part of the grooming process seen so often in cases of Child Sexual Exploitation we deal with. They may repeatedly focus on their own feelings in order to make the victim feel guilty for hurting them. Some predators may also engage in gaslighting. Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse where the perpetrator makes a person question their thoughts, memories, and events they have experienced. Weird how right wing populist rhetoric seems to be modeled on the same techniques used by pedophiles *so weird*

Regardless of race, I think everyone is hesitant to get the vaccine. We are all of the human race with much more in common than we give ourselves credit for. Good talk.
