"A place where poets meet to share their Minds"
The poetic exuberance touches the aspects of philosophy,
humanity, brotherhood, Nature, love, and caring,
all those ingredients to make the earth a peaceful planet.
And all those things
that are necessary to elevate the humane quality and raise and uplift humanity through the medium of poetry.
Where
no language, no boundary, no gender poses to be a barrier.

I thoroughly enjoyed Kathy Jo Blake's poetry, everything about it. The rythmn, the rhyme and the musicality of her recitation, the kind of poetry after my own heart.
Quite impressive.

Congrats
Thankyou for joining and you could also our open recitals every sunday.it would be great ma'am
Much gratitude dear friend Kkumar Prasanna -I started New years learning ALL things to do or not to do...... 1. Download updated Zoom version much before last second to go online. 2. pick a background looking nice(why did I not pick one of the lovely views to showcase here???). 3. lighting needs to be brighter. 4. Why is hair unkempt? need to be better groomed. 5. Prep better overall and specially with picking poems right for the day . 6. A+ for effort but needs work. 7. THANKYOU to dear Kkumar Prasanna for the sandbox invite to play

Congrats Santosh Ji. Loved the sound of your Nepalese poem. Pity you didn't translate it afterwards. Enjoyed listening to your English poems. We both seem to be concerned about war victims. I, too, have written poems on war. Wish you lots of success. Peace be with you and your loved ones.
A pleasure listening to your solo presentation Mr. Barude.
Dr. Roopali Gaur, without your "snail" poem about the snail saying " I did not know I carried my home on my back", which Prasanna Kkumar presented on your behalf on October 27, I'd never have written the poem I presented today titled "Worth The Pain". Your words "carry ...on my back" immediately created an avalanche of words in my brain, inspiring me to write a poem of a child being carried piggyback by its parents. Thank you dearest Roopali, Prasanna, Deena, Maria, Ronnie, Lantern for your kind comments. Thanks everyone for showing your appreciation of my very long, sentimental poem on motherhood. I enjoyed listening to the poetic presentations of all who participated today from different countries. The themes were varied, from light to intense. Enjoyed also listening to the chantings/singing in diverse languages. Wish The Fertile Brains and all members lots of success & blessings.
@@jenniferm.garnatz-JamaicanPoet you moved us with your heart wrenching piece mam
@@thefertilebrains2045 Thank you so much Prasanna Ji. Am so happy you all felt moved by it. Apart from poems about my father's death, this is only the third poem I've written, which actually also moved me to tears. The scenery was playing in my brain like a film making me "feel" all the emotions of the dying mom.
Awesome DR Deena , your poem amongst the others are indeed inspiring . Keep inspiring . This plannet us in dire need of inspiration. ONS

I am so very honoured to have been invited by Mr Prasanna Kkumar to join The Fertile Brains. Meeting and sharing events with so many talented international poets has not only been a lot of fun, but has also inspired me to write poems I'd otherwise never have written. I thank you all for your kind words of appreciation. It's really a privilege for me to participate on Sundays when my time allows it. Henry, as a Jamaican, whose African forefathers arrived here in slave ships of the Spaniards & British, I can understand the story about your forefather's experience during slavery. Your narration also of experiencing the lynching photos and your thoughts reveal the pains of the past experienced even after slavery was abolished and the pain that is experienced even today whenever one sees those photos. Even I feel sad, but not hatred, whenever I see them. Hatred eats one's soul. I do not allow myself to swim in bitterness and hatred. Wonderful opening poem. Well selected. It shows we have come a long way since then, and it encourages us, and all humans, to have confidence in themselves. Your social and romantic poems are very interesting, deep. I really enjoyed listening to your solo presentation. Well done. Sorry about the loss of your friend.
@@jenniferm.garnatz-JamaicanPoet wow mam
I see where you're coming from. When a person sees such painful and disturbing images, I believe there are many feelings flow seeking to find an understanding. A person tries to put what's seen based on previous experiences or images. Yet, some things just don't make sense. This is why I found myself whispering , "Why?" Responses from people may include anger, hatred, grief, sadness and feelings which can't be expressed or defined yet. Many overwhelming feelings. Those feelings are part of our generational trauma, which we try to address and heal from. Many places, images, events, and words trigger that trauma. At times there are no words until those feelings are thoroughly processed. That takes time and differs for each person who experiences it. Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed and connected with my poetry.
@spreadingcolor So true what you have stated. As humans, we each react differently to experiences, be they personal or not. I sadly believe there will always be crimes, wars, racial prejudices, and religious conflicts. The human character is as diverse as the ethnic and racial differences. Good and evil will always live in collusion, sadly. We can only try to be happy within ourselves and do whatever is necessary to make our lives, and those we care about, meaningful.
@@jenniferm.garnatz-JamaicanPoet we still have so much growth.

I always enjoy watching a replay of your poetry events Prasanna Ji. It's very interesting listening to the poetic minds from across the globe. Here, one is presented such diverse ways of interpreting multiple themes. Was a wonderful event. Thanks for inviting me to participate. Happy you all enjoyed my poem. Blessings
Jaya, it was a real pleasure listening to you singing and reciting your poems. Thanks for telling us about the background to that beautiful song 'Tapestry' sung by you with such a lovely voice. Coincidentally, we both commenced working in 1972 :-))) Your mom (May her soul continue to rest in peace) died in the month August 34. So did my father (but in 1973) :-((( Creatively, we seem to have a lot in common. We commenced writing as children. Listening to you, your thoughts on writing are similar to mine. Your poetic words "....Only steel and concrete remains, piercing the clouds..." paint a powerful picture of the concrete jungles of modern society which are replacing the forest jungles God created to nourish the pure air our lungs require to remain healthy. You are absolutely right that in the wars ...."there are only losers, no winners". Jaya, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your very interesting anecdotes and your beautiful poems on a wide variety of themes. Well presented in a clear voice. May God continue to bless you.

Dear Jennifer, gosh, I am amazed at all the time you’ve taken to be so appreciative of my solo poetry performance. My mother passed away in August 1994 and my dad in Nov 1998. Lost my brother, the oldest of us four siblings in January 2022. We are all getting there but living the best lives that we possibly can! I am so glad to learn of the similarities of our respective journeys. We must chat up sometime. You are in Germany, right?
Thank you very much Jennifer.
