@@harley2die4 I have a Storm Responder I had previously to this Westinghouse Dual Fuel. I wanted something with remote start as we live in North Central Maine. The Westinghouse unit was a disappointment from the day it arrived. The automatic choke isn't (when running on gasoline) isn't designed for our climate, it turns the choke off much too soon and never starts with it. The 12v 7amp battery NEVER cranked the motor fast enough to start it. I keep a lawn mower battery inside the house on a trickle charger with a quick connector I carry out to the generator when I need to use it. I found that starting the generator on propane initially then switching to gas gets around the problem with the auto choke. I have a Generac XG10000e in the garage (50 amp) that won't fit in the generator house I built. I'm getting too old to manually start these things and will probably opt for an auto Generac system once I have enough cash to make the switch.

We have so little snow so far this winter. Twenty days into January and our snowmobile trails aren't open yet. I'm president of quadcounty.org club and we're still repairing trails devastated by two recent storms. Trailmaster Kevin and Director Mike were out yesterday in the groomer, they got to the bridge we'd repaired last year (2022-2023 season) and it is shifted from beaver dam and water from heavy rain. We have a crew going in tomorrow to try to get the bridge back in position.

I think the saying goes "great minds think alike". I bought Heat Mats 6 foot extension to facilitate turning the first mat 180º then all the cords are all by the railings. In storing the mats in the off season I made the mistake of rolling them the wrong way, now the edges are curled up. I should screw them down as I plan on replacing the deck next summer.
