Part 16 of our Summer 2024 Scotland Trip.
We park in a car park and walk up and down and up and down to get to Castle Campbell. The official castle car park isn't big enough for a motorhome!
It was worth the walk though. Lovely views from the top of the castle.

Shame Ravenscraig Castle wasn't open. I think you say Aberdour as Aberdower. Desmond Donders has been there fairly recently I think as I recognise the name. The dovecote, doocot, looked the same shape as one I've seen somewhere else in Scotland, again on Desmonds Donders! Nice gardens and yes it was lavender 😂😂😂 (you mentioned me incase you can't remember!) Unusual shaped church on the outside. I like the smell of budlejah too.😊

Looks like a really lovely place. Really quiet too which is always good. Think I have that park up marked off as I marked off loads of the Fife official overnighters.
@@roaminginraymond Yeah. I think you said at the time you had it marked off. There's another one in between the Lomond Hills. But this one had the better views. I really liked it at that priory. Think because the sun was out!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We had problems with our DJI mic. First issue was i plugged the cable into the wrong port.. oops. Then on our last trip I dropped the camera and it took me 2 days to notice it wasn't recording any audio at all. Thank flip for the backup held in the microphone!! (which is very quiet too, but better than nothing). Technology eh?
@@scotlandonashoestring yep. I did the same thing with the wrong port! Lol 10 thousand weeks later, we've sort of got it sorted. Done away with the mic receiver. Sometimes it doesn't connect though. A bit hit and miss! Bring back just videoing on my phone!!!! Those were the days! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was going on the ship included with the museum admission, or can you just go on there anyway?
@@roaminginraymond it's all included with the admission fee with the Museum. You can't get to the ship without going through the museum.

Well i just went to mark off your park up at Arbroath and I already have it. The square next to yours 😂 It sounds as if your microphone takes a while to kick in as you had wind noise at the start of the one clip and then it disappeared a few seconds later, which is what mine does. It also did the same when you were reading the info board at the castle. It takes about 8 seconds to work with my gimbal. Turn your camera on and your mic on and wait a few seconds before talking. Not been to Arbroath. The Abbey looked worth a visit but shame about the fencing. Gorgeous wildflowers there, very pretty.
