    im getting an error when building my project, it says "error 47: indirections to different types assignment from type 'struct point16_t data' to type 'struct upoint16_t fixed'" any help on this would be great

      Ah, 4.1.2 issue that has been affecting a few plugins. All other versions of GBS should work. I'm hoping they revert the change, otherwise I will make a patch for the plugin when 4.2 is out.

    projectiles that attach to player like the old item:attack script back in 2.4b that is tied to actor positions would be great so we dont have to make another state that moves actor origin point and reallign every triggers

    4.0 KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. to bad i cant migrate yet. on that note, im uing your hack for more projectiles on the projectile_0 thing. how do i set it up so that i can use 0 and 1 for multiple diff types? for some reason when i copy scripts from input_1 it keeps crashing. also side note, your mic is way too low or are you far away from the mic?

      I have been having some issues with my mic, it randomly gets low sometimes... But for the projectile thing, someone told me they could only copy projectiles FROM slot 0, but they could copy them INTO any slot. Maybe that is the same issue you are having?

      yeah, it can only be slot0, whhen i try to copy slot1 it shows up from 0 but if i try to brute force the loading of slot2 sprite it goes off some time but crashes immidiately. its like u can only do slot0 and nothing else?

      @@ELV13S Yeah seems to be that way. Just means you need to make more scenes to copy from. I'll try to follow up on why it's happening some time.

    Started messing around with Shump Reloaded in 4.1 it's really good! Quick question though... you said in the video the triggers are only used for screens are lined up... is there any other way of having a trigger activate on the player crossing it? If not maybe a tile?

      EDIT: NVM just gonna have an object collision handle that for now at least... the problem now is that once warped to another SHUMP scene it doesn't scroll

      @@lord_klump3705 Yeah you can use actor collision for that in most cases! If it's not scrolling after scene change, check that the direction in the scene change event is set correctly.

    I've been using this guide for a game I'm working on, and it works great for swapping out the projectile in slot 0, but I'm running into issues when trying to swap out the projectile in slot 1. From my testing it looks like the collisions and sprite are still being loaded in from slot 0 of the secondary scene when I'm trying to call for slot 1. It looks like the Launch Projectile GBVM Script works fine, but the VM_PROJECTILE_LOAD_TYPE command isn't working right. When I changed the slot the Load command was calling from 1 to 0, my Launch Projectile Script used the projectile that was locked behind the 1==0 logic gate just fine using the modifications from the Launch Projectile Script. This problem persists when referencing different scenes as well. I changed the referenced scene to one that had two different projectiles loaded into slots 0 and 1, and calling projectile 1 from that scene still called projectile 0. Is there another argument that needs to be added to the Projectile Load command aside from (projectile slot, bank_scene_projectiles, scene_projectiles)? I've had this issue on both versions 4.0 and 4.1. The changelog mentioned fixing a bug related to projectile scripts using the wrong sprites, which is why I migrated to it, but the problem has persisted. Have you run into this issue, and have you found any solutions to the problem?

      I'm not familiar with this issue, it sounds annoying. Those are all of the arguments that the command takes according to vm.i in the engine, so the command isn't missing anything. Is it possible that you can just make more scenes and always copy projectiles from slot 0? If so, hopefully it is not a big problem. I will take a look at it next time I'm messing with this command, but right now I don't have anything else to offer, sorry.

      No worries, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Adding more scenes to copy from slot 0 should work, I’ll have to try it out in the morning. I was so fixated on getting slot 1 to load that I never thought to just add more scenes to pull from.

    Thanks for your tutorial and especially for your work on the pluggin! I tried to implement a trigger, but it is not recognized even when the camera arrives on it. I thought it was due to the new version of Gb Studio, but I re-installed the old one (3.2 from January), but I get exactly the same result, making an end-of-level trigger non-operational. If you've got a solution, I'd love to hear it, otherwise I'll finish my level thanks to the colision with a transparent actor ^^

      Sorry for the inconvenience, I just figured it out ^^. In fact I put a score on the first line of 8x8pixels at the top of the screen so my trigger started below and was not concerned by the camera... In any case once again thank you and bravo for your work on the Gb and Gb studio scene!

      Apparently the unique projectiles cap is now enforced by the editor, so you can't raise it in 4.0, only lower it. Going to update the description when I figure out exactly what changed and when.

      Turns out it changed way back in 3.1. You can still increase the number of unique projectiles on screen though, so half of the video is still useful. Thanks for being one of the people who brought it to my attention!

    I think I might break the game engine but let me know if this is possible. In your video you demonstrated that you can pull projectile events from Scene 2 into Scene 1 by placing it in the same projectile slot in Scene 1. In the script, you said that the slots have to match because of the way the game engine works. Would it be possible to create a Scene 3 and place another projectile into slot 0 providing you another and potentially unlimited amount of projectiles?

      It should work with 4.0 by default, you can ignore the warnings about the engine being out of date.

      @@shintendoYT I've been using Shmup Reloaded, and it's all working great! I cleared the warnings by adding/replacing " "version": "4.0.0-e0" " to the JSON engine file. I am now (finally) starting to make a proper shmup! Thanks again!

    I just found your game today, installed it on miyoo mini. Finished it in an hour. The first boss killed me in 3 seconds, can i go back to it? The horse boss stuck and i killed it without any movement. Margit and Godric were awesome. I would literally pay for a bigger game. Can you maybe rename it and make it a full game and sell it? I think it could earn you some nice money

      The new atan2 feature for VM_RPN. If that makes no sense to you... don't worry because I think the next GBS build might have an event that does it for you.

    I'm trying to follow your HUD tutorial, I made health display by text, its working just fine. But I just can't figure it out how to make the submap HUD. Do you have plans on updating it with more step by step info?

      There is only one step, add a VM_OVERLAY_SET_SUBMAP instruction after the VM_OVERLAY_SHOW instruction in the Open HUD script. What you copy from the background is up to you.

    I have a lot of unfinished games on GBG, so to clear out space, I just straight up deleted them all. I could've uploaded them first snd then deleted them so I could get them back later, but that would be a bad idea because I discovered myself amd found out the hard way thst if your switch online runs out and you have uploaded games, all of those uploaded games will be all deleted by nintendo with no way to get them back. So basically once you become a popular youtuber who makes GBG games you better have money to afford switch online forever

    Ah yes, in japan the eggs/reproductive structures of sea urchins are a delicacy in japan, they are often yellow or orange, like the sea urchin design on the first three games
