Kev's right. First 2 games were derbies. Lets be real here the Smurfs squad is superior to ours all over the park aside from GK, They can afford to leave Oahim on the bench. Oahim is one of the best players in the league and he won the game by himself in 10 minutes. That's beyond Staj the recruitment has been terrible from the club. Give Staj some more time we haven't been totally out of games. Also I can't really see anyone else better. Maybe Papas? but the club needs a football director. Auckland have Terry Mcflynn and Smurfs have Alex WIlkinson so the recuitment is semmless with almost no change. And wow I am agreeing with George that the team should be building around Sapsford, Priestmann, Scicluna and I would add Hammond. We need an LB and just put Mata at DM and play the Diamanti role to get us going. Plus need his experience in the middle of the park. 4th goal I would also blame Pelakanos, dude is walking back while Borello Sprinted past him trying to stop Oahim. You can blame half the team but not Borello trying to bust a lung trying to get that ball back.

When Mata has played we’ve conceded 6 of the 12 goals we’ve copped, and scored 3 of the 11. Make of that what you will but interesting statistic.

You can't go blaming the manager Alen Stajcic for the poor start to our season he needs to be given time to build his own squad. The fault lies with the playing squad there not performing. Our squad this season and last has been poor and that lies with our clubs recruitment staff they are at fault for our clubs current mess also signing and resigning players without a manager. Also in the past the players have thrown the manager under the bus like with Gombau. George is delusional wanting Grahame Arnold as manager.

A much different playing style last night in terms of performance. We were driven, were more direct and motivated to get a result. Panta at LB and Holmes at GK made a huge difference, likewise, Mata off, Brillante and Scicluna duo, and don’t forget Sapsford and Kraev. Borrello looked much of his former self, doing skill moves, going forward, making runs, being active and sometimes running with purpose. That is what we need from a striker/winger. Also, we got to give props to Cleur, he assisted twice and was influential. Milanovic took the criticism of his late performances and smashed it out the park, that’s what happens when you give him time and space. And that is why criticism is needed to provide players with feedback, it’s one of the ways to get stronger.

I agree Holmes played like a leader, but that comes with experience. But that shouldn’t be difference, because if we keep giving Vidackovic opportunities he’s only going to become better.

We have zero midfield. Sucluna isn’t a midfielder. This is our worst team is our history. Getting excited because we beat a team who will come close to last has not clue.

I re-watched the game and cannot help but to blame the players for this one. Their lack of intent and desire was abysmal, all of Adelaide’s goals should’ve been prevented. Everyone goes on about the first 20 minutes being bad, it was bad for the first 60 or a majority of the time. We allowed Adelaide to dominate us in our own home, we let Pierias score two goals that alone says enough, we didn’t press them, to keep the ball, to threaten them or intend to dominate them. I understand the Clisby and Cleur hate, but they’re only doing their part. What we’re craving from them is to go that extra step and to be influential. That aside, Milanovic and Borrello, I still don’t get the hype with them, they were non-existent/played the exact same football as they did against Sydney and Western, poorly. We shouldn’t be rewarding poor performances. Mata is out of position, Kraev is one of our better players, then we have Hammond, Scicluna and Sapsford our real impact players who should be starting, they were influential on the weekend. I would like to see Pantazopolous and Holliday on in the defence. If fit, Thomas on or Holmes, I don’t mind Vidackovic also. I don’t necessarily blame Staj, I see his vision and plan for the team, it’s a work in progress and we can see signs of that. We can become a great team if our players are willing to turn up and give 150%, play cohesive, motivate each other and turn up no matter what. Starting XI against Newcastle, /Simmons Bonetig Jeong Holliday/panta Brillante Scicluna Mata Hammond Sapsford/Temelkovski Kraev If Mata plays in position maybe keep Milanovic and Borrello on.

This George is everything that's wrong with our fanbase the keeper is young and had a bad game stfu and go after the senior players instead like your Cleur, Borrello, Milanovic & Mata who did f all defending in the 1st half.

None of them mentioned how Borrello didn't close Clough for the 1st and 4th goal, Milanovic scored but again ineffective and wasteful the ball and lazy defending but you guys will never call that out cause they're too close to the players and mind you the team looked better going forward when he hooked Milanovic off. Your conflict of interest is why this club has gone nowhere always the coach but never the players fault cause you're more worried about the players interacting with you than putting in consistent performance all year round. You glorify the likes of Borrello but have no respect for the hard working players in this squad. They blame the defense but the midfield and backline got no help from the front third, this team is not good enough the fanbase put them on a pedestal when none of them would start for any top side in the A-league they're impact players at best. You also go on about Clisby but there's no one else in his position, the Scicluna experiment didn't work and Beadling is not mobile enough to play there so it is what is how about you stop slandering him and support him till the end of the season?

George needs to relax! His hatred of Clisby makes him think we need 3 out n out strikers in a game and Graham Arnold as coach. Staj is a counter-attacker and will need a decent defence for it to work, which obviously it isn't. Our team is not built for countering as we're too slow. Cluer is too slow on the right for us especially against speedy wingers and our mids and Mata aren't quick enough to transition. Also need to remember, Staj hasn't been given the money by the club to change the team like Rudan and Robinson were. Mata is a reaction buy because ESFC got D.Costa. So I'm not expecting a top 6 finish for us.

You have to stop blaming the managers and start pointing the finger at the players and the people running the club. Alen Stajcic should be given at least 2 seasons to build his own squad as currently we don't have a good squad at all. I Don't know what George is thinking about with Grahame Arnold in? That's one person who should never be allowed to step one foot inside our club i dislike him.

I’d love to see the club make a “old boys club” where the boys have their own suite and are welcome each home game and at every derby, every player that has been capped by the club in our history, all of them are invited along, Celebrating their achievements. Would also be good with what Ante said with coming to training. Love maybe once a month, an old player come in and chat to the boys or come in and present a jersey when a player is going to debut
