do yourself a favor, and just play a different game
@izriboss no it's been a great time
in my opinion a good way to implament the map without completely getting rid of exploration is one of those maps that fill as you explore and please please i beg show the world borders cause yes exploration great but its a hugh immerssion break to say im gonna explore over this way and proceed to face plant an invisible wall
@devlar4962 yeah the clearing the fog map would be great!
The game is good. Combat is okay bc half my hits DONT HIT when im in front of the enemy. And invisible walls ARE HORRENDOUS. Especially in area 3. The lake is one HUGE DEADZONE with invisible walls on the other sides. ( this was YESTERDAY )
Damn, those walls still getting you huh? See this is why an optional map would be great. Really, you're hits aren't registering? This makes me want to hop back in and see if I get that. If so, only have half your hits land would be such a pain!
I love the Yakuza games. Im trying to finish all substories and all the games before February 21st.

No, it's massively overrated if anything. People give it a positive review of 10/10 solely on ideology and for fear they will get cancelled. It is the cringyest most safe and most lame rpg of all time. Saying the dialogue is infantile is an insult to infants.
Lolol i could feel the passion behind this one
Love how you've asked if it's overhated, then ragged on every review there... completely missing that even the thumbs up reviews are critical. Maybe it's just you that likes it? It's ok to have questionable taste, but at the moment you're absolutely the underdog. Also, it's not classy to blame the player when they're having issues. Again, this seems like a you thing.
@noctoi true, but when a small number have performance issues compared to the majority, it's most likely not the game. I know I'm the underdog, that's what makes it entertaining. People are so hateful towards it, and I'm having a blast
@@thegamingcaffe Hmmm That's what people said about the 10% or so of players who paid through the nose for Andromeda and Inquisition... both of which WERE BioWare issues. They hadn't bothered testing on some of the most popular GPUs. They have a history of this. It took them almost a YEAR to make Inquisition possible to even start for those affected players. Turns out their ignorance of AMD meant the game tanking people's framerates because of the game trying to process an infinite horizon and hogging so much system side memory there wasn't' even enough to QUIT the game! So in BioWare's case, I'm going to look at their track record, especially in such a bloom and ray tracing heavy game. Besides, there's ALREADY a known issue with tanking performance and crashing for some players that's only fixed by going into the game files and removing the bloom function - which also happens to make the game look 1000 times more dark and less cartoony. The fact is, they have stated the system requirements. If they didn't test it so it works for players adhering to those requirements, that's on THEM to fix, not the customer.
@noctoi you know this is funny I just reviewed Black Myth Wukong and it also had AMD issues. I've never experienced it since I've always used Nvidia. Kinda wild
@@thegamingcaffe Ooh that's good to know. I'll have to do some research before I buy it. It's next on my list 😅 I'll say the same about that game though, if there's no fix for it I won't buy or leave a good review until they patch it. Not our fault if they didn't test properly. Gods I still have flashbacks about the Inquisition one though. It was wild. Never seen anything like it. had a really decent system well beyond their optimal specs, and it would basically brick my PC at the first cut scene. I would have to unplug at the wall wait a few mins and plug it back in to be able to shut down the game 🤣

Casual..with dialog written by 4 year olds that want to shove identity politics down your throat, with obnoxious and irrelevant companions and no actual ability to chose anything other then "good guy". It's an insult.
@@Hazling-nq6p in other words, casual
So apparently, casual to you must mean casual effort in production, planning, set up, pacing, voice acting, and storytelling at a full triple A price point. I would argue that casual in the context you're attempting would be more like animal crossing as that is a game that was actually meant to be casual. So no, it's not in other words "casual".

People are enjoying it? Correction, valve is hiding the reviewbombing again, just like how truthful comments here get automatically deleted for being 'too spicy'. Just because a company makes a great product, that doesn't excuse them for being raging dumpsterfires; just ask nintendo fans about mario maker glitch levels. Change for the sake of change is a mistake waiting to happen, because eventually what made it work is going to be replaced with something unquestionably worse. Blaming a reviewer's pc while overlooking the game is only optimized for particular hardware, then asking for an explanation and willfully ignoring a detailed rant.
@XperimentorEES yeah every game is optimized for particular hardware, which you know going in before you buy it. Seems like most of the people enjoying it are casual fans with no ties to the former dragon age games, or people who didn't like the former games.
@@thegamingcaffe Alienating the vast majority of fans to please the vocal minority is a laughable business plan. Seen it in series where it wasn't even about being woke; halo4 and beyond being redesigned to play like call of duty, EA rebooting dead space instead of actually making a sequel, god of war ragnarok radically shifting from a spectacle fighter gauntlet to a generic medieval babysitting simulator, ect. And with the latest dragon age, switching from a turn based team tactical strategy rpg to a singular hack & slash moba wannabe.
@XperimentorEES But it's not for a minority, it's to capture a majority. The new dragon age is more casual and more easily accessible to a wider audience. And God of War is way better now than the originals. There's so much more depth and challenge to them
@@thegamingcaffe It was made famous because it was a more serious and grounded version of the original baulder's gate & first diablo games, not for trying to impersonate WoW and certainly not for making everyone androgynous. The first games were better because Kratos actually had a reason to be angry and the freedom to live upto his namesake, the recent games undermined that by keeping his family alive and holding him back from a world wrecking adventure. Consistent narrative is just as important as smooth gameplay.
@XperimentorEES yeah it shows character growth on Kratos side. Not just staying a hot head who doesn't think anything through. He's more mature
it does not matter if hated or not . dragon age is over because this abomination of writing. non-binary + transgender conversations ?! what did you expect? this game costs maybe 150m-200m and made less than 50m. this means that this ip is done for sadly. good thing is that things will change very soon -> companies follow money and nothing else.
@b44dsss Well you're definitely not wrong about following the money. I wonder if this project was changed like this from the start or was already established as a continuation before changes were made

@@hellwashere3821 I don't sympathize with " but it's different than it used to be"🤣
@@thegamingcaffe Well, when you use an established brand/ip into fooling consumers that they think they are getting more of what they like and are used to, you are setting urself up for disaster, they should of taken what they had and improve it, not change it entirely, or even better, just make a new IP, but a new ip with this bad dialog, bad combat, bad level design, bad puzzles and the list goes on, would just not sell, theres a reason games like atlas fallen have a similar user/critic score of 6/10 and this game is sitting at an 8 while most ppl dont even think its a bellow average game, they intentionaly marketed this as a return to form , a game that started in 2009, and blocked early reviews during embargo that they thought would not be positive for them, its a mess, i sugest you get more informed about this game if you wanna grow this channel, but even i commenting on this already make you sucessful, any marketing/interaction is good, but the question is, is it good for long term? again, GL
@hellwashere3821 you could tell from the first trailer it wasn't like the previous games. Like I said, it wasn't made for OG fans. It was made for a new audience. Times change
1. Change is good if you are taking risks and be creative/innovative. 2. If you are going to make changes to a successful franchise at least keep what is working and do not alienate 90 percent of your fanbaelse 3. It is obvious to anyone paying attention that priotization for woke propaganda was given over good story telling. 4. You may have enjoyed the game, but the number of copies sold will tell the tale. I am glad you enjoyed the game play, but until they adress the writing problem we will continue to see a dip in quality.
Maybe there will be a chat gpt mod on pc for the writing wo more people can enjoy it🙌

Funny thing is, in most of the recommended reviews you can feel that the person was on the fence about whether he should recommend this game or not. In a lot of case you could even interpret those as "not recommended". The cope is unreal. This is simply not a game that should have AAA price.
That's true, though it may not be cope. The game is enjoyable if alot of the complaints people have don't bother you
Unfortunately ppl never change their minds about things. Once the initial previews came out for DAV ppl decided they hated it. And nothing will change their minds. Their loss. Its an incredibly solid game that definitely has some minor issues. But thats it. Minor. Unfortunately many other YTers know how to grift on the negativity.
Yeah it really is sad. There's so many good games out there if you don't let the negativity get to you.
I've seen enough gameplay and story to know i would hate it it looks like well, the art team is fine, but its too Disney looking rather then dark fantasy,,, and man oh man dose it sounds like s***. and I've seen the way the dev's talk about people who don't like the story, i've also found out how people in power at bio, treat there employees and how gaspanco it is working there... and in the end, i feel like i shouldn't reward them with my hard earned money no matter how much i enjoy dragon age as a whole.. if you enjoy the game, cool... if you want to support this type of behavior, id say that's wrong, but you have the freedom to do that, but don't expect people to just shut up about there frustration, by all rights you can make fun of them, and they should in turn, make fun of you... seems only fair.... i'm not the one for making fun, or starting s*** with people, so ill just respectfully disagree with you.
@Honed- if you think it looks Disney then you haven't even played the game. You can respectfully disagree but you're doing so from a position that lacks information. The scenes with blight are absolutely disgusting.
Meh, depends on your standards. Give some people a 7/10 and they feel like it’s their lucky day. For others, it’s a hard pass.
@johndeighan2495 true. I'm loving it, but i know a lot of people are disgusted
Could you white knight more for trash.... Look I am old I enjoyed Dragon Age when it was good, and this is TRASH.... It might run well the combat might be okay but the Dialogue is horrible the companions are annoying....
Personal for games that you Play, I'm more here for the gameplay. Luckily the other games are on gamepass, so you still get to play those
Im liking it, combat is fun, build options surprised me and the writing would be more then serviceable- main dialogue, cutscenes, main plot- if it werent sprinkled with redundant comments all the time, some filler companion engagements(wich Bioware always made, in DA and ME) and some really dumb and cringe moments. I think im about halfway, time flew by - but i guess it can become repetitive if the enemies dont spice up mid to end. Combat is fun, loot is fun... Frankly the game would be much more well received if it either A) wasnt called DA, original ip and or B) Didnt had inclusive talk points the way it does. Culture war haters over anything inclusive is inevitable, ffs i saw then hating a teaser for a complete original ip, well written, just because the protagonist was a black and female, but the writers did enjoy signaling that a bit much... and they do that on a game breaking lots of expectations on a beloved ip, and they also changed the art style even further from said ip. Salt on salt with a sprinkle of more salt. The aim at Young Adult crowd with some dialogue that sounds modern teen would sincerely fly by most reviewers if this was an original IP. Some would mention it as a con, many wouldnt or just mention in passing like many reviews do. Generally weak stories or dialogue gets footnotes if the gameplay is fun. But i agree the game is overhated- the gameplay IS fun. Lots of people want it to be an absolute failure on all aspects for some reason- fgs sake we can like or dislike things despite this or that, recognize good and bad points, things arent either 100% good or bad. That wanting ALL of it to be terrible IS by definition hating. I think all hating is undeserved because hating is the point where were not being completely logical and emotions talk harder. CRITICISM is more then deserved because theyre handling an stabilished ip, lore and near 2 decades of fan expectations.
Yeah the continued IP seems to be the biggest gripe with most people. It sucks people want it to fail instead of just being okay with some people enjoying themselves and moving on to something else
if you bought this game you just contributed to another decade of wokeness in our games
You should youtube the SpongeBob moment where Mr crabs plays the world's smallest violin🤣
It might be overrated but still a bad game. Take off the DA name, I give it a 6-7. As a DA game? 3. Terrible writing, terrible evil path, cannot control companions, choices have little impact. Writing feels like it is straight out of a kids show Insulting. Disappointing.
Not a bad game, just not what you expected

This person is being very fair and reasonable with what he's saying, but it's against the groupthink so they will be hated.
Very true, reasonable thinking isn't too common anymore
I'm really enjoying myself, 32 hours in so far. The companions are varied, and just like DA has always done, it shifts between serious and light to make sure you intersperse feeling like absolute dogshit and guilty over stuff with jokes that bring you back up - cause otherwise they can't bring you back down again. DA has never been this all-dark thing, remember the first time you met Alistair in DAO and he was making jokes throughout most of the conversation and we loved his goofy butt for it. And then (experience may vary based on choices) he emotionally tore my heart out some 50 hours later. DA, like life, is a rollercoaster.
I love the jokes among the serious tones. Feels realistic

Yeah very nice video, it is going on my dislike collection.
What a dumb way of saying “who cares if it isn’t nearly as great as it used to be, accept things change!” When something that used be rated 8.5-10/10 and then the ratings drop to 1-4/10, that isn’t “oh well this new product isn’t meant for you” rather it’s a majority find that this new product isn’t up to scale with what used to be. That’s great you like the new game and didn’t like the old. That still puts you in the minority opinion, which factually makes you wrong. Skyrim is a beloved game that many people would tell you is one of the greatest RPGs of all time, won 100s of awards and game of the year titles, but there are people out there who do not like Skyrim and think it’s a bad game. Cool for them, but that puts them in the minority. Just as you saying you like this new Dragon Age, and not liking the old. Like that’s awesome for you, but when the majority of players who loved the old game and made up its entire fan base now saying they hate it and it’s not what it used to be, it shouldn’t be chalked up as “oh well things change.” That’s how companies get away with putting out garbage today, like Star Wars that you used in your reference. It isn’t just personal preference, it’s overall just not as good when compared to the earlier titles.
Again, to you. Skyrim combat is crap, hence why i didn't finish it. Companies don't owe old fans by making a game they enjoy. They want to deliver a game the largest group possible can enjoy. You aren't owed a gratifying sequel. Expect nothing and you're never disappointing.

@@thegamingcaffe It’s yet another example of a long established and beloved franchise being hijacked to push real world agendas and preach to the crowd, most of whom are already on board with inclusivity and are simply tired of it being shoved in their faces in their entertainment media and breaking their immersion.
