Easy skips the 4th world pretty sure

Easy mode skips Modern Era (World 4), Normal mode is normal, and Hard Mode removes all hostages from stages but gives each player one of each of the 20 characters from the start. Also, certian enemies move and attack faster with higher difficulty, best seen when comparing the run speed of the off-screen ambushers in 1-3 or the rate of the crossbowmen's projectile rain in 2-1. Also, Easy Mode gives 8 continues (both players have to share them), but normal mode only gives 4. Hard mode has no continues. (No continues can be used in World 5 regardless of difficulty) ...I think that's everything.

@@Arial55555 Thank you sir. Didn't realize you had an entire channel of Gain Ground content, amazing. That 4-3 strategy is genius! Really not sure why a sequel was never made for Gain Ground, or why similar games don't even exist. It's a great concept that could be very well received in today's gaming community.

​@@user-hp6pj4sy3k Well it kinda was given a sequel- Gain Ground Again. I made a half-hour video on it about half a year back discussing how I found it and translating its many secrets. It's a strangely well thought out remix of the classic Gain Ground formula, solving many of the game's core issues, but sadly it's currently trapped as Japanese Mobile Game lost media at the moment.

He was invincible and maybe was mashing a at a certain distance arrows one shot the orbs as well it happened to me on a certain level I forget if it was normal arrow or high one

When you have that invincibility period at the start, you can just run into the orbs and they die in 1 hit just by you existing there, i think there's no need to even press any buttons

Yes, it would be faster to do the same thing as in easy and normal modes rather than this "100%". However, it takes almost 3 minutes to kill off all 19 characters and in such an reset heavy game it's kind of tedious, but perhaps I or someone else has the required amount of tenacity sometime in the future.

The problem with mudpuppy is that you lose 2-3 seconds just by picking him instead of Webad and he's quite slow to move to the other side. I also tried them now on the first boss and I can get 173 remaining with Webad, but can only get around 167 with mudpuppy. I am much better at playing with Webad but I don't think I can be that much faster with mudpuppy if I practice. There is probably a lot of time to save in this category as I haven't played it that much, mostly focusing on Easy runs for a while.
