Thank you and I agree that a huge level of personal responsibility and self-awareness is absolutely required when deciding where to hike with kids. After I posted this video, I heard someone had fallen off Lanikai Pillbox! It was one of my favorite island hikes with my daughter and I had just recommended it! There is a lot of danger when hiking trails, and my focus was doing something adventurous as a family but within certain boundaries.Thank you again for your comment and I hope you found some other useful information❤️ Our family had so much fun exploring Oahu!🌺

Iruka Kona… more important is the time. Go later (not the first tour) and go when the moon is bright. Also we were at the northern site by the airport when we struck manta gold!

Hi there, I’m not sure about Safeway but you can do street parking (if available) or park by Kailua beach and walk over. The earlier you go the easier it is to find parking.

At one mile out to the falls it only takes about 30 min to one hour depending on how fast you walk. Allow yourself at least a couple hours for the whole thing. We go with a little one so it takes a bit longer!

We just use a GoPro! In this case it was a GoPro 9 but we've just upgraded to the 10... I use a vlogging case that has a microphone for enhanced audio.

Hi Michael! The crater is the actual bay. It’s pretty amazing how Earth formation/ erosion works. Over time, water seeped into it forming the bay. I learned about Hanauma Bay formation in the ten minute video presentation required for all visitors to enter into the park, only about twenty minutes before I recorded this very video!

Hi Ashley, we parked at the golf course and paid a small fee. I preferred that because it feels a bit safer and it’s closer to the trail head. You can enter the Likeke Falls Trail and also the Old Pali Road trail from the golf course parking lot… if you go straight and take the paved road up, that would be the Likeke Falls Trail… if you veer left before that paved road, you’ll see a small trail that leads down directly to Old Pali Highway. I would suggest that you download the AllTrails app because it can help you to scout out trail heads from wherever you are. Hope this helps and happy hiking!😎🤙🌈
