New Rider - A good reason to keep your visor down!

this could have been very bad for an eye if my visor was up, it was slowish speed, pinlock glare and hot so tempting to lift the visor, glad i didn't.

Congrats on getting your full licence! 👏
Thank you
Must be satisifying mate, congrats
Congratulations on passing mod 1 and 2 you legend! I like the clarity of your audio set up too. Don’t know where you are in the U.K. but my first A licence bike is a v strom 650 from 2009. I asked my instructor and listened to his decades of knowledge based advice. Bullet proof engine , comfortable riding position and good wind protection. I didn’t go for a new one because with a little bit of research you can get some incredible deals. Also because I use my bike for commuting to London, new bikes are like magnets for thieves I think. So I got my v strom 650 after a month of searching online , very honest seller, he had kitted it out for his tour of Italy so he had all the panniers, a large givi windscreen and the stock too, tank bags and crash bars installed as well as heated grips. Literally bought the bike for £3k with 30,000 miles on the clock. Spent another £500 or so in doing a sprocket / chain change, new spark plugs, air filter new tyres. I have to park my bike outside on the street at my workplace so I don’t dare have a new one. Keep up the videos, and be careful in the winter months with a new bike and slippy roads. Congrats again mate!
Congratulations dude. :)
Thanks! 😁

Can I ask about your service package? Are all compulsory service costs included? I bought one without the service package a few years back and I got rinsed every time the bike had to go into the service required to maintain the warranty. On the tyres. I definitely agree. Nothing is wrong with them until you go over metal drains in the rain or even worse in cold wet conditions. I have had several occasions where the bike slid, but thankfully I caught the slide and stayed upright. My advice, if this bike is what you need for your journey in and around town, then it is the bike for you. Had an interesting experience on the older CBF125. In really hot weather, the bike would kangaroo as the engine cut on/off as it is only air cooled. I am sure the newer CB125F doesnt have this issue. If you need to go bigger, then use it to get some experience and sell on, using the funds to get a full licence like I did. Stay safe brother.
Yep that's Maidstone drivers. They are becoming more like London drivers. I now sit in the middle of the lanes. Also send any videos like that to police they will get a fine and possibly points on licence.
The blue is lovely, not common to see 👍🏻
Hello! Can I include this video in my future projects? Thanks for your help!
Go ahead!
Hello there! May I use this clip in my compilation? Thanks.
Go ahead!
good thing the cbf has some comfy suspension (by the way blip the throttle when your downshifting itll be smoother)
Hi Whippy, would it be ok for me to use this in a compilation? I will link your channel and give credit of course. Thanks :)
sure
Hey mate! Would it be okay to use it in compilation? Full credited ofc!
yeah that's ok
Hello! Would it be okay to use this in compilations and possibly on some of our social networks? You will receive full credit for it. Thanks!
yeah thats fine
crazy
The only thing wrong that Honda did on this machine is giving it a transfomer style instead of classic style, the tire width and size are adequate for the power of that engine, and speaking of the engine It's super easy to maintain and service, even the valve adjustment is old school and simple, the the cb125r it's better on paper but this one is the real workhorse, it can also take you places where the road ends. Regarding the brake lever angle adjustment, you can undo the screw holding brake master cylinder and adjust the angle as you wish, don't worry about the brake reservoir, as long as its full of fluid it won't affect the brake s I'm sure you won't need to rotate it that much.
Lovely in this colour quite fancy one of these as an eco bike and it should hang onto its value if the mileage doesn't get too high. Might get me a test ride in Seotember big attraction is the mpg and brand reliability and who wouldn't want better rubber.
This is the most fuel economic bike you can get. Enjoy your bike
Beautiful colour. Getting the same bike this week!
From Australia 🇦🇺 here. I'm thinking of buying one
I'm a Kiwi and thinking of it too. Unbeatable value for money.
Hello! Can I add this video to my future projects? Thanks for your help ! (:
sure
Which country?
In India this bike called SP125. I owned
I enjoy watching your riding improve. Waving the truchie as you left the bike shop, 10 out of 10. As a fellow cb125f rider I look forward to more adventures.
Hi mate! Can i use it ' Some drivers really are THAT bad! - Episode #5 ' clip please ? With credit, thanks in advance.
Yeah sure!
Hi, could I use this on my channel, linked and credited of course?
go for it
@@WhippyWhip2 cheers mate 👍
In the cage I see, ha ha!! People don't pay attention to where they need to be, they try and correct themselves last second, causing aggro for other road users.. that's what you call a bad driver, glad they didn't cause you an accident mate, safe driving/riding out there on the wild roads!!
Yeah and the most upsetting thing is, they really don`t care! Simply NPC`s programmed to cause chaos and confusion.
Yep. Beetle hit sounds like a gunshot. I don't get it why people even by open face helmets...
That does look good in blue! Resembles the new Hornet from the front.
yeah it's a beautiful colour, especially close up
Horsage ?
10.5hp
The world`s gone CrAzY! It`s like common sense is becoming a thought crime. :/
Dude, I thought bad roads were a local thing, but now I realise it`s nation wide. :/ Some of the roads I have been exploring on lately are literally shaking my bike to bits. The rattle you hear on my bike is the Speedo and rev counter knocking against the nose fairing, because the mounting rubbers are wearing out. Because of the deep pot holes I have encountered, some of the fairing lugs have snapped. Ahh, the joys of biking, eh?
What a plonker indeed!! Safe riding mate!!
Hi. What's the vibrations level on your machine? I just picked up from dealer a brand new unit the same as yours. When i'm driving 37 mph on 4 gear the image on mirrors is blurred. The same is when increasing the rpm on neutral while the bike is stopped.
they are quite vibraty bikes, downsides of single cylinder engines, here's a vide explaining the different engines ruclips.net/video/aOTz0Ol8fLA/видео.html
@@WhippyWhip2 thanks for the anwser. So yours blurrs the image in the mirrors too?
For other who read it: I was driving another cb125f (2022) it had the same vibrations and image on mirrors was blurred as well. I guess all of them are like that
I had a bee come inside my helmet once stung and bit the shit out of me.
My dog stood on a bee
I have to wipe my visor down after every ride and sometimes also mid-ride because the bugs are like paintballs and eventually after hitting enough of them visibility is reduced.
Thats why i dont understand how morons go without a helmet. #1 for safety and 2 the bugs the wind and road debris that kick up in your face
ive had a bat in the eye b4.
ouch
Leave a safe gap in the moving line and the lights see it and change. Now that f***s me off.
You haven't had anything until a 20-lb wild turkey flaps down off a branch into your faceshield.
I was riding with my visor open for 10 minutes or so, I randomly decided to close it for a moment and a few seconds after I did, a bee smacked the bottom of my visor. Boy was I lucky.
A bee once 🧐 and a long time ago following a tractor a lump of mud 🐼
Once I was driving at 60 on the highway in my truck with the windows down. Somehow what I believe to be a queen Carpenter ant flew or fell out of a tree directly into my chest, I am not sure how it achieved such an angle but it actually hurt and scared the shit out of me. It got knocked unconscious or died on impact with me
i took a bee to the face i thought i got shot off my fireblade.
Haha, that was a big fker. Now imagine getting hit by some of the bugs in other countries, like a hornet, a beetle, etc
Got a wasp in my helmet once while riding with the visor up. Wasn't even going fast but had anyone else been on that road, I would have crashed hard. Since then it's visor down as soon as I'm not in a parking lot.
Hit a sparrow at 35 MPH, glanced right off my helmet just above the visor. It was loud and thankfully my lid was closed at the time.
i had a stone hit my visor at 130 km/h
Gotta hit by a beetle cruising at 100km/h, had my visor down but after the hit i felt my neck hurt. Can't imagine if i had my visor up what would happen
a wasp went flying straight into my eye, fortunately I was able to get it out fast af
