The $5 billion check he sent in last year I imagine was probably wasted in the killing fields of Ukraine. One shouldn’t mind so much sending taxes to a responsible government but not this purposely wasteful crowd that are about to leave office still shovelling as much money as they can out of the door. If he hadn’t sent the check in they would have just printed the equivalent amount.

3:27 The " potentially saving up to $2 trillion" comment was caused by data thirsty journalists question asking for "how much?!" But we should understand that this is just a figure from the thin air. The inefficiency of govt spending is quite obviously much worse than this. The $2trillion should be achievable if the size of government stayed the same but system was lean and modernized. But it doesn't account for further savings done by cutting the redundant parts of government and insane regulations. I'm sure that Elon hopes to get the figure from $6.5 trillion to possibly even $0.5 trillion. Fingers crossed.

I didn’t know much about Palantir as a company or what it was actually about until now. Seeing this interview, I think the concept of “coding human ethics” into software is highly problematic, dangerous, and rather hubristic, especially when it comes to the design and manufacturing of military equipment. Human moral responsibility should not be relegated to AI and machines when it comes making decisions of warfare and violence. On the contrary, wars should be a costly, messy, and bloody affair for everyone involved if just to prevent humans from being desensitized to the immense costs of war. People like to say “it’s not the guns that kill people, but rather it’s people that are killing people.” If you automate these weapons and military systems to the point they are making moral decisions without human oversight or input, then that is what you are essentially creating: A “gun” that kills people of it’s own. The act of war is full of morally grey areas and contradictions that require human discretion. I don’t think AI or software will ever be a wise or suitable tool to navigate these kinds of moral challenges.

Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable

I'm successful as a swing trader only because I've developed a trading algo with excel that helps me fund optimal entry points with far lower risk. Win/loss ratio is about 90% during past 1.5 years. No stop losses. My returns are 106% over past year ...60% annualized. I think trading difficulty increases the more you decrease the time range where trades are taken place. So scalping is arguably the most difficult Risk management is extremely critical. Position size should be adjusted based on key technical indicators.

How day trading is riskier than others? Did author hear about stop loss? Even in volatile market, you cannot blow up account with one position. You loose only what you can afford. If you trade without stop loss, then this is not a trading but gambling. Every course about reading in their first lessons teach about stop loss.

We need to stop calling it 'day trading' and call it what it is ... Gambling.
