    Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable

      I completely agree. Many people work hard and earn well, but they haven't learned how to invest or realize the impact it can have on securing their future. Often, the problem lies in habits and the subconscious mind.

      While it’s true that some people have turned a small investment into millions through trading, it’s essential to approach this perspective with caution. Most young people who take high risks often lose their money just as quickly. Building wealth steadily over 40 years through consistent investing may not sound as glamorous, but it’s a proven and reliable path for the majority. Wealth-building is a marathon, not a sprint-it requires patience, discipline, and a long-term perspective.

    I'm successful as a swing trader only because I've developed a trading algo with excel that helps me fund optimal entry points with far lower risk. Win/loss ratio is about 90% during past 1.5 years. No stop losses. My returns are 106% over past year ...60% annualized. I think trading difficulty increases the more you decrease the time range where trades are taken place. So scalping is arguably the most difficult Risk management is extremely critical. Position size should be adjusted based on key technical indicators.

      Thank you for explaining, and it’s great to hear you’ve made a profit! In the financial world, it’s often the case that the longer the time horizon, the harder it becomes for most people to turn it into a winning strategy.

    How day trading is riskier than others? Did author hear about stop loss? Even in volatile market, you cannot blow up account with one position. You loose only what you can afford. If you trade without stop loss, then this is not a trading but gambling. Every course about reading in their first lessons teach about stop loss.

    • @MisterInvestment

      With or without a stop loss, the probability of success on any given trade remains below 50%, making it unlikely for most people to achieve consistent success through trading.

    Hasn't GS been outright saying the Index trade being over for a long time now? Trying to get their customers to move out of the 'lazy' Bogle style of investing and back to individual securities sales to generate more commissions from both market makers and their brokerages? Blindly ever following whatever any investment corporation says is silly. Measure index trading and vs any of the expert high profile money managers and even without their fees you'll find index investing typically wins as long as you stay to your ruleset.

      @psycheout4733. I appreciate your thoughts on this! As a long-time advocate for index investing and the "Bogle style," I see the value in a diversified, low-cost approach. However, Goldman Sachs does raise an interesting point regarding the impact of the "Magnificent Seven" on future returns. But we can't predict the market, so we will see what the future holds for us.

      @@MisterInvestment No, The S&P 500 is an index and has an inherent protection against risk because the companies that participate have to meet strict requirements which is why it has been so successful. The only way S&P would crash would be if the top 500 performing companies had a massive crash in earnings. Now things could slow down if the global economy went into a recession but it wouldn't crash. Even if a company like Apple were to declare bankruptcy, they would just fall out of the S&P 500 and another company would join to replace it. You would see a slight dip while another company fills the void but it wouldn't crash unless the majority of the holdings were to crash. Also stocks should be long term investments. If you play short term, you have higher risk. If the market actually crashes which would also impact DOW and NASDAQ, it will bounce back.

      Interesting...I'm not touching my VOO,all this buying and selling and trying to time market doesnt work. Unless you're retiring soon and want stability, but if you have a 10+ year window selling and recognizing gains, paying taxes and then missing out on gains just doesnt make sense. Also, where do you get 5.6%?? what bank?

      As @Dimka2012Bo mentioned, remember that over the past few decades, the stock market has risen about 75% of the time and dropped around 25% of the time. i know, I can’t predict the future, but my tax-saving accounts and retirement plan are already heavily invested in the S&P 500, so I feel that’s enough exposure. Selling my position on the account I manage might seem like a bold move, but being in Switzerland, I don’t trigger any taxable events by doing so. I manage it all through a private bank in Schaffhausen, I don’t know how they do it..but it changes, last year was 4.3%

      Gold has been listed as a tear 1 asset. It is money. It’s a hedge against inflation which means now is the best time to own it and if you’ve been buying over the past 3 or 4 years you can expect up to 40% performance. Central banks around the world are buying it as fast and as much as they can. If they say it has value then it’s valuable.

      @WexZG95 I think you're outside the US, which is likely why you can't access those ETFs. I'm from the Netherlands and face the same issue, but there's a simple workaround. You just need to use a different platform than Trading 212, and you'll be able to buy all the US ETFs you want. It's a bit of a switch, but it opens up access to those funds.

      I wouldn't recommend it, but you can still hold Bitcoin for a small percentage. However, it's similar to gold, silver, or other commodities-assets that don’t deliver value like stocks do. When the economy expands, stocks provide value because they represent ownership in companies that grow their revenues and profits, which leads to higher stock prices and potential dividends for investors.

    There is a big difference between buying into the market at all time highs for fair market prices versus buying into an overvalued market. Buying a company that is selling at 25% over its future speculative 5 yr value is not a wise investment. Buying an index fund isn’t even investing. It’s parking your money somewhere in hopes of making more than your mattress would. Investing is about evaluating the fundamentals of a company, paying a fair price or cheaper and then letting it increase in value organically with the company. That can’t be done when someone just blindly dollar cost averages into an index fund that is overvalued. It is (or should be) basic math. At today’s valuations, it will take people 6-8yrs to break even before they even see a return, not counting a pullback.

    • @MisterInvestment
      @MisterInvestment 2 месяца назад

      You make some valid points about the importance of understanding fundamentals and being cautious about overvaluation. It’s true that paying 25% over a speculative future value isn’t wise, and for those with the knowledge and time to analyze individual companies, that approach can make sense. However, I haven’t seen any active investors who can consistently time the market. Even Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger have experienced declines of over 50% more than three times (I discuss this further in this video: ruclips.net/video/uXmx2A-vNOc/видео.html). So, if you invest, you will face downturns. However, index fund investing follows a different philosophy. It’s not about trying to time the market or pick individual stocks-it’s about broad diversification and long-term growth. Yes, markets can be overvalued at times (especially since markets tend to rise about 75% of the time), but trying to time when to enter or exit is incredibly difficult-even for the best investors. And while valuations may be high today, history shows that the market tends to reward patience over the long term. For many people, especially those just starting out or who don’t want to spend time analyzing stocks, dollar-cost averaging into an index fund is a simple and effective way to grow wealth over time without trying to outsmart the market

    Thanks for the informative video! It is a lot of speculation of a possible stock crash coming soon. Almost all ETFs include Nvidia, who is specting it lowers value in September. Based on that, is it better to buy now or maybe wait until recovering? And what broker do you recommend in the NL? Mintos, etoro, etc?

    • @MisterInvestment
      @MisterInvestment 3 месяца назад

      Hi @maximilianoderosas3119, thanks again for the compliments! As I always say, investing in stocks is a long-term game, ideally for 10 years or more. If you believe in the economy’s growth, stocks should provide returns over time. However, if growth ETFs feel too risky for you, you might want to start with a three-fund portfolio, which I discuss here: ruclips.net/video/yQqYyiLPhEA/видео.html. Trying to time the market by waiting for a downturn might seem tempting, but in my experience, I’ve never met investors who can reliably predict these events. I’ve also covered the topic of buying at market highs here: ruclips.net/video/ja4O9mrm5QY/видео.html. As a Dutch investor, you're typically limited when it comes to purchasing U.S. ETFs, as they're usually restricted to professional asset managers. However, I’ve found a workaround using a Tastytrade account (affiliate link: bit.ly/4dAteQd) to trade U.S. ETFs. This can save you money in the long run, as U.S. ETFs are more popular and generally have lower expense ratios. You’ll need to convert euros to dollars before transferring the funds, but it’s a straightforward process. If you need any assistance with this, feel free to reach out!

    excellent video ive been thinking about this every day. how i should balance the 3 ETFs. Im 43 now but i should be getting a pension in 5 years. but my plan is to continue working maybe until im 59. I think the pension and income from a new job will allow me to be more aggressive in my portfolio even though i will be getting older. i think its ok to risk when im old because i have my pension to fall back on if the market is going bad. but everyons situation is different its a personal decision. anyway you make excellent videos keep up the great work 👍

    • @MisterInvestment
      @MisterInvestment 3 месяца назад

      Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it! It sounds like you're in a great position. If you can rely on your pension income and potentially your job income during those years, you’ve got a solid foundation to be more aggressive with your portfolio. Having a cash reserve or other fallback plans also gives you flexibility. Remember, your financial plan isn’t set in stone-you can always adjust as your situation evolves. The key is to set everything up properly now so you’re prepared when a downturn comes, while keeping your end goal in mind and knowing exactly where you're heading. Keep up the great work! 👍

    You won't become a profitable trader listening to buy and hold forever boomer investors either. Go listen to the chat with traders podcast and you'll hear from hundreds of people that can beat the S&P index.

    • @MisterInvestment
      @MisterInvestment 3 месяца назад

      Thank you for your comment. You're right that it's possible to beat the S&P 500 index, but the reality is that less than 5-10% of investors manage to do so over the long term (15 years or more) without much trading. This is backed by extensive data. While short-term wins can occur, consistently beating the market is nearly impossible, especially through trading, as it's ultimately a zero-sum game.

    • @SevenStringShredHead
      @SevenStringShredHead 3 месяца назад

      @@MisterInvestment So what are those 5-10% of people doing differently? Well they definitely aren't listening to these overhyped dinosaurs who tell them they can't do it. Calling it "nearly impossible" is a gross exaggeration, "nearly impossible" would be if only .001% of people could do it. The reality is 5-10% is not that small of a percentage when you compare it to other fields. Only 2% of college athletes go pro for example. Yet you don't say it's "nearly impossible" to become a pro athlete, just stop with that language. 15 years is an arbitrary time frame to bring into this. If you beat the market well enough you only need to do it once. Again, this is why the chat with traders podcast is the best trading podcast in the world, because there are hundreds of interviews there with people who've beaten the market consistently. You should delete this video, we don't need to hear from the ancient Berkshire fossils about how they think you can't beat the market anymore, and instead start posting interviews with the 5-10% of people who actually can.
