I thought that flick was garbage from the very first scene. It's gory and everything, but thought it was a patch-together storyline with crap acting.

I watched this with my 73 year old mom and she was cracking up at how often the dad was like “hey I’ll be right back!”, so that is to say it’s a fun watch because it’s so bad. I’m of the camp that the movie is really just a giant commercial for M Knight’s daughter’s music career. That he wrote the film around featuring her pretend concert as covert marketing for her, which I don’t think will play out well because she’s pretty bland, not to mention her acting was comedically terrible, which is impressive when your dad is the one directing you. It’s like someone doing an impression of a bad actor lmao But it was goofy, poorly written and acted but inoffensive. The kind of thing you can watch with a 10 year old who wants to delve into “horror” movies but isn’t ready for anything that’ll have them spooked and crawling into your bed at night :)

had a great start but relied on memberberries way too much in the final act. good work from a fellow movie guy!

I saw the movie a long time ago, I honestly don't recall it... it didn't leave too much of an impression on me, but I know I decided to watch the other Hellhouse LLC films afterwards, so that tells me I enjoyed it enough.

A masterpiece and one of the best films of 2017

I agree. Definitely doesn’t deserve the bad reception. I think it’s a really good movie and still holds up pretty well today. I always loved the scene with the artificial intelligence librarian all them years later. “I remember everything. And yes, I even remember you.” I thought it was a good movie. There are definitely worse time travel movies out there.

The way I remember it- there was nothing supernatural whatsoever. The dumb kids faked it all- and I say dumb, stupid, imbecilic (especially that boy) because you don't gaslight people who are already hanging onto reality by the barest thread. It doesn't take much to send a person like that over the edge- and you don't want to be there when they do. Gas lighting should be left to the a**hole narcissists Anyway. If you're gaslighting someone In your life- you are a prick- even the women doing it. Stop now!

I loved The Witch, A Dark Song and The Babadook. Suggestion-perhaps name some of the cast. Good concise review though.
