HAHAHA - reminds me of my AU3 GLS Marlin Ute with everything inside needing fixing. Those sunglass holders fetch a decent coin and they break on every AU I've seen. Same as the roof lining and the door actuator - as well as the passenger side bottom seat moulding. Labour of love - did good. Got my AU ute off a family friend for a bargain after he passsed away. No reg or roadworth just yet but everything ready to go when I get some cash available. unde 111,000km and clean as now.

Bit of a tip mate for pouring oil, tip the container with the handle down and hole up the top (opposite to how you did it) yeah you might still spill a little but it’s so much easier. My dad taught me this trick when I was a kid (I’m 51 now). Hope you and the mighty AU are doing well 👍

Wrong air blower you need a long nozzle one to actually get shit out unless you want to pull it apart rusty earth points electrical connections wire plugs need to be separated and blown out with 120 PSI and then you pressure wash it and blow dry it all down again and the wipper box will be full of leaves and shit as well I actually pulled my whole engine and driveline out and fully cleaned everything and custom painted it all and I’m halfway through seam welding the entire engine bay and will epoxy the welds and bare metal strip it all and smooth the whole thing then paint it as well things like pressure clean the engine block out replace replace the water pump alternator power steer pump all new gaskets and seals painted the au alloy sump rover cover and so on things like the Z bar’s painted bottom and top control arms all new bushes and ball joints basically I love xh Utes to the point I fully rebuild them from the ground up every nut and bolt anyway cool video of a young bloke having a go good to see

G'day ....Beaut job so far , I have a 2008 FG XR6 and the valve cover is exactly the same..never thought to restore it but I like the idea now you mention it ..Mine has only 76,000 kms on it ..love it .. Also have my 23 year old AU ll Futura...also love it too... Part of the family...

Intakes do absolutely nothing on an na falcon 6cyl it’s a ricer mod, if anything the intake sound is annoying (I ran a pod filter on an xr6 and I put the factory intake back on because it makes people look dumb if there isn’t a turbo or some forced induction)

If you see on under side of boot there’s too spots there for you to drill for the spoiler
