It's hard to explain yes it did and no it didn't. When I first did it it worked, then over time it started to happen again but after playing pc for ages, I went back to ps5 and I've been having 0 problems, but there is no paper or anything. Literally everything is fine. If I were to give advice now, try it first since for so w people it did actually work, as it solves the problem of the cable moving around lots, which was the cause of the problem for people. If that doesn't work, the only thing I can recommend is making sure the ps5 is in a space where the heat coming out the back of the ps5 can flow out openly, without a wall close to it. Some of the problems from what I've found out can be caused by the cable being way too hot. Hope this helps.

I have been playing alot of pc recently, i dont play on my ps5 as much but i think it could actually be an overheating/ overuse problem. Try this method and if it doesnt work, it could be an overuse problem. there was a period of time where i was ONLY playing pc, then i went to ps5 to play and stream, and forgot to add the paper thinking i was gonna get the lan cable issues, but everything was fine. im not sure what else to say
