I'm guessing this is the first hen, the one who rejected the 2 older chicks?---I had a hard time hearing you Tanya, and didn't want to raise my speaker volume d/t Daddy rooster crowing into the microphone! But, I got the gist of what you were saying.---Will the two hen broods spend time in the same open space? I'm curious about whether chicks of each hen recognize their own Mom.

"Make hay while the sun shines" takes on a whole new meaning in today's farming! Surely a good night's work! What time did the 3 of you get home?!---Once, when I was 8, I was at a sleepover to a friend's home on their farm, & the adults were making sausage in the basement! Looked like this!---Around here, during the grape harvest, I've seen tractors among the vines at night with super bright overhead lamps. Same principle, got to get the harvest in at the right time!---What will that silage smell like when you finally unwrap the lines?

Oh my gosh i miss an Alberta sky! They have to be the best in all the lands (only my opinion!).

With 2 bulls in the herd, how do you know which bull fathered which calf?---Darn flies, the cows don't seem to pay much attention, but have you ever known a cow to go berserk with annoyance?---I did see the wild bird, and altho my computer screen is pretty small, I too got the impression it was a grouse.---Weather is changing. Your idyllic scene is likely gone now. Do flocks use the pond you folks mended?

I dont know how you can resist petting those calves when they come up to you. Thx for time with the cattle!

Do you find that the hay ensiles just as good as the bales wrapped tightly with silage wrap? Seems like a great way for the small producer to make silage bales. A new inline wrapper we sell costs over $45,000

Great machine I have never seen a machine like this it's fast to bag up any bail, you don't need a chopper and blower really slick.

Ah, so THAT'S who came out of the trailer!---I feel for the vet! One year, when I lived in Albuquerque and was working at the Cancer Research And Treatment Center, the State held a state-wide prostate screening clinic. The largest clinic was in Albuquerque, & I assisted in checking in/out fellas who signed up for the screening. Yikes, the urologist's each had a sore middle finger before the end of day! But, on a high note, they found many suspicious enlargements that were directed back to their own urologist, or set them up to get enrolled with one.---How soon will we be greeting the newborns of these three?

That is a great tool to have. I made a metal bender a few years ago. I put a window wiper motor on it instead of a hand crank.
