How much will it cost on a top end rebuild total (2003 cr85
1:15 - drain the coolant in the cylinder with that drain screw on the side right below your right thumb.
Just haven’t changed your oil regularly bikes run for 100s of hours
Do you need to remove the suspension and swing arm to remove the engine?

where did u buy the new injector my bike has the same problem
did it tick a lot before failing, i believe my injector is going, it never use to tick but now it sounds like valves it ticks so loud
where do you order your parts
How’d you guys get the cylinder off? I’ve been banging it with a rubber mallet and using a crow bar to try and pry it with no luck. Doesn’t budge at all. Is there a bolt I don’t see besides the bottom 4?

You is really cool! But, excuse me.. when you pressuring bearing, you make it wrong. You need to use head or pipe the same diameter like a outer race (if you pressure into a hole). Maybe you already know it) but I think, I have to write it there. And, sorry for my English)) and, finally, you make really cool works
If you will bit in inner race, you destroy bearing or reduce it's service life
Was your bike bogging all the time. My bike boggs some time's I just shut it off and start it up and it's good for a bit and then it will start bogging again

Hello I have my 2006 cr85r having my top end rebuild at a bike shop out here in nyc quite expensive job well over 1k I tell u that but I wanna is it worth it cause I Hurd once it’s complete it’s like a whole new bike again is that true ? Is so I can’t wait to get it back they ordered a oem piston a oem cylinder piston rings spark plug cabs etc and more so basically it sounds like imma have a whole new bike any advice once I get it on how to keep it maintained? Thanks
Throwing a fresh top end on an 85 really brings the bike back to life. You can definitely feel a difference in power especially if your old top end has alot of hours on it. These bikes are pretty bullet proof as long as it has a relatively fresh top end in it. That being said, there's not really much that the bike needs once you get it rebuilt. Just keep the revs a little lower in the first hour or 2 of riding, but after that you can ride these bikes really hard they they will be just fine. 1k is pretty expensive tho, my whole rebuild cost me about $120, but I did do the work myself.
@@limestonegarage4066 yea u know how them shops do I would love too learn how to do it myself for next time they charging me 800 in labor fees alone and the new cylinder they charging me 600 dollars smh
Definitely help if you can do the work yourself. Its a bit more of a headache, but saves a ton of money that way.
