Choosing An Antenna Webinar | Poynting & NetXL
Brother .. I have huawei router B530-963 Has powerfull and full signal But SINR is too low (4 db) Is there outdoor antenna can resolve the problem ....please...
Should I use a single antenna or dual antennas with SMA connector with Huawei 310s-927 4G router in urban areas to improve ping latency preferably. How much difference would it be when I install one or two antennas
Bought a qoltec 57041 4g mimo antenna and it doesn't improve my home signal at all , damn
"*no connectors needed" You are right but I didn't know at the time. I just tried connecting a mimo3-v2-15 to my rutx11 and found out the SMA are male and the rutx11 needs female. Spent a good 30 mins researching adaptors and ways of resolving that. Found a female to female SMA adaptors kit on Amazon, ordered for £5. Was only after ordering this I found the Poynting comes with the female to female adaptors in the bag included 😂
I recently configured my Cudy single cell band LT500D WiFi Router w a MINT Sim; & obtained 20 Mbps download at upstairs window facing T-Mobile tower about 2 miles away. Then got 30 Mbps with an outdoor Omni Directional Antenna. Gona try a Directional Antenna next :+)
Thank for cell tower to sim router ... antenna lessons. I just learn more about antenna options finding your RUclips channel. Like your style, and the comment section :+)
Am I right to assume it has Home Assistant support?
they do
You're correct! Shelly's natively compatible with over 200+ third-party integrations, including Home Assistant.
Anything with matter and thread support instead of wifi?
Yes! Shelly Gen3 devices are compatible with both Matter and Thread.
Does it work like home theater surround sound system??
Where can I buy one in Texas?
Is this router okay for novice home networking? I was just about to pull the trigger to upgrade on a Asus A6XU router, then read about Draytek and a couple other routers that would potentially be more secure. But, don't want to buy a draytek if it's too advanced. 🤔
What do you do with a 4 g antena and how do you use it?
Plug them into a home base 4g / 5g router to gain better signal and speed.
It really is NOT that easy
Hi Max, could you let us know a bit more detail on the challenge you're having with the Bold smartlock? Hopefully we can get it sorted for you!
fucking idiotic advices made by a mpron
Good evening Sir, thanks for your time educating us. Pls, kindly help... I have a unified AP Pro that want to use and extend internet service from groundfloor to 4th floor. pls how do i go about it... I have already run cat6 to 4th floor. Thank you.
Thanks, good concise summary video. But would be useful to provide information about the range and overlap of the TP-Link devices, or bridging larger distances.
Thank you. Great vid. Helpful. Appreciated.
In this case, what is the best antenna if the internet tower is about 25 KM from home? does the db affect?
i don't need all the other hardware i just wanted to get that UNIFI switch so can i just connect throuigh the app?? but what which app there are 3/4 apps?? 🙂
someone forgot to mix the left and right channel...
Hello! The wifi function worth it for public wifi on a camper van?
Quick relevant info without bla bla.!
Is it fit for aluminium doors opening outside? The distance from the middle of the cylinder till the end of the door is 1,8 cm .What is the diameter of the lock? Alternatively, can it be reversed ie the fat part outdide?Thank you George
Hi George, as long as the door has a euro cylinder lock, you will be able to use Bold. You wouldn't be able to stick the larger side (with the Bold button) on the outside, as this is what activates the lock. Our team can chat through your specific requirements if you give us a quick call on 0330 043 3000 :)
No option for iPhone users…😡
I have a motorhome, can i add to my tv pole (wich i dont use the tv antenna) an omni-directional antenna and a directional to a router? Will the router use the directional and if the directional is not perfect allign will the omni-directional receive the rest of the signal? I hope you can understand me. Thank you
Does this work for USA?
What about if you receive a great mobile signal via mobile phone in an area with trees and no line of sight to mast. Would omnidirectional be best in these situations
Did you pick an antenna? I’m in the same situation. Rural area but can’t see the 4G tower.
@@ZaneOnPC I installed a cat18 mikrotik lhg lte. A directional dish router modem. I'm 30km away from the tower. No other device will work unless you want to pay that starlink premium.
Don't waste your time with poynting or similar products ran over coaxial in these conditions. Either the mikrotik or the zyxel 5g nr (backwards compatible to 4g)would do the trick.

Are netxl and amazon netxl store the same store or different? It seems strange, the name of the store is the same, but the prices are different for some products 🤔
Is this an option for a holiday static caravan with no Royal Mail address also poor mobile data signal? We are desperate for options
Hello there, I bought the REOLINK GO PT PLUS 4G solar antenna (AUS version) and although it connected to the 4G network, the signal was spotty and weak. I am looking for a high gain antenna that can support Australian LTE bands for 4G that: - Really improves the signal of my camera compared to the standard plastic antenna that comes with the product - Have a RP SMA connector and a short cable (1 to 2 meters) - Can be installed outdoor - Is durable - Good to improve reflect (bounced) 4G signal as there is not line of sight to any tower from my property The camera has only a SINGLE RP SMA connector so I think MIMO antennas are not an option for me There is NO electricity in that area and that is why the camera is solar powered. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
does it have to be a unify switch and gateway or can any others be used?
You can use any switch you like! The benefit of using a Ubiquiti one is that you're able to manage it all in one place :)
@@NetXL-Official right on, that makes it so much easier. thanks man. just moved and the house already has POE and the access points ran in the ceiling but the previous owner took all the other kit in the network closet. he was almost cool
It would be very nice if you could show what the antenna itself looks like inside the case
Do they make a ceiling speaker rated for outdoor patio use?
Hiii I hope you see this, I'm aspiring to be a business development manager myself Could you kindly let me know some more about it Thank you!
Can these be used with existing router such as AT&T
Yes! Also, with Aruba Central, you can monitor AT&T Business WiFi and streamline IT tasks like on-boarding and operations.
do you really need a controller to mange the ubi POE switch?
Hello! The cloud controller allows for remote management over the cloud interface, so it's not necessary if you're happy to log in using the IP address when you're in proximity of the switch :)
Grandpa
Hi I have Poynting 2x2 Mimo connected to my Teltonika RUTX11 router. Can you recommend the Wi-Fi antenna for this router please? B.R.Alex
Hey! There are Poynting antennas that come with LTE & WiFi connectors (for example, PUCK-5 or MIMO-3-V2-15) which would be perfect for a RUTX11. This means you'll only need one antenna. Please give us a call on 0330 043 3000 if you need any help selecting the right one for you :)
Thank you for prompt reply. As I mentioned before I already have the Poynting antenna to get a signal from the tower. I am happy with this and don't want to spend more money for combined. I just need wi-fi antenna if you have so
I have wisher but disappointed in the fact that the cameras do not move from side to side. You can only see straight ahead.
Will you be doing a full review of this? It looks awesome.
We will be very soon!
There is no vocals for me.
Sorry to hear that. Please call us on 0330 043 3000 if you need any help!
Hi. Based on this video I have bought the Poynting XPOL-1 V2 5G 3dBi Omni-Directional Cross Polarised LTE 2x2 MIMO Outdoor Antenna to use with my Nighthawk MR2100-100EUS in my caravan here in the UK and Europe. I am very pleased with the performance of the Poynting and I do realise that an Omni is never going to give the same improvement as a directional antenna. However, would there be any realistic improvement in replacing the 5m of RF195 cable the antenna comes fitted with, with RF240 cable and is it something that can be done at home? Thank you.
Hi Steve! We wouldn't recommend replacing the factory fitted cable as this will void the warranty that comes from the manufacturer, and due to the sensitive nature of coaxial cables, it's not recommended to replace this yourself - we've had people do this in the past and make things much worse!
Meta-material technology? You're talking shite!
Are you a small business? Let us know!
Hello. Thanks for perfect video. I have question regarding antenna. Can I use only one antenna MIMO for two LTE/5G modems? I mean each modem has 2 antenna connector but I will use only one antenna connector for each modem with one common antenna Poynting MIMO-3-12 LTE. Does it make sense? Or it is much better to use MIMO configuration - one modem- one external antena connected via 2 cables? Thank you in advance for your reply
Hi Peter! Although possible to use a single antenna connection in a single port for each device I wouldn’t recommend this as ultimately this will greatly impact the performance of the antenna. And you would experience a far greater effect when connecting the MIMO antenna via the two connectors to a single device. What is possible however, is Poynting have a 4x4 MIMO antenna with 4x SMA connectors, by using this you can have both of your modems connected using both of their SMA antenna ports. Once again, you wouldn’t hypothetically get the most out of the antenna, but you would expect to get a greater performance than just using a single port
@@jaderuysseveldt2152 Many thanks for your reply. I found this solution as well it looks perfect. In my country we are using 700MHz for 5G network and i feel that all antennas are less sensitive in this band. However i think MIMO 3-14 is quite usable also for 700MHz. Not so strong but it is. I need it for motorcycle/ car :)
I am busy setting up 5 * unifi ceiling mount Aps all via cable. Do i need to change anything to have 1 SSID with all 5 units. I know i must just name the ssid on all 5 the same but when the user is connected to the closest AP it auto connects him instead of staying on the furthest AP
Hi Gerald, do you mind if I ask what your objective is in making your clients stay on the same AP even if there is one closer? Most people would prefer to be connected to the closest AP to give them the best performance.
@@NetXL-Official Hi man, I mean i want there to be 1 ssid using the 5 units. So for example the ssid of "Office" but be on all 5 units instead of different SSID. Is it correct in just naming all the devices office? Something like a mesh setup but they all going to be hard wired to the switch
@@carnagelan Yes, that's correct!
trouble is, I now feel like an expert! Well explained, thank you.
Glad you feel like an antenna expert, and thank you for leaving this lovely comment :)
