Stunning Stamford, how many churches ?
I was in this beautiful city in 1989 as a guest of my cousins, Rosella and Salvatore, who now have a restaurant in Filey,Bella Italia Restaurant!
@@salvatorediluca5742 I bet it has changed since 1989! If we are ever in Filey we will go and try your cousins restaurant.
What was the name of the site
Hi its Camping Osuna, I thought i had put details in the description but must of forgot. i've put a link in the description now👍
I lived in Leicester when they discovered King Richard's remains to his funeral. It was a fascinating time that brought Leicester together.
We watched the parade go past, It was something we never expected to see and will probably never see again
If you get the chance it really is worth going inside St Mary de Castro church. Unusually it has two distinct sides to it- almost like two separate churches shoved together. It has quite a history to it.
We will definitely be visiting St Mary de Castro, its a shame it was closed, thanks Caroline 😊
Hello great video thanku am a new subscriber
@@andywright3450 thanks Andy👍
Loved this video! I lved in Glenfield for 32 years, and worked in the tea rooms shown in your shot of the Lanes (briefly!) . I used to meet up with friends in the Queen of Bradgate pub, also shown on the High Street. I toured the churches with my kids when they were younger, so it was a lovely reminder of that. I am now retired in the Cotswolds. Thankyou for sharing your trip to Leicester!🥰
Hi Sheila, thanks for the comment. Glad it brought back happy memories for you. We have made a few videos in Leicester and Leicestershire including Bradgate Park. We have been to the Queen of Bradgate a few times and can remember when they used to have price tags on their quirky furniture, if you wanted to buy it. Did you see on the news recently that Morrisons in Glenfield (or the old CO-OP as you may remember it) flooded in the storms? comment
@TheSloanRangers Yes ,I saw it had flooded....yes it was co-op when I lived there. I used to play bingo in the Glenfield social club from when Jack West was still alive, then Eileen, then the Poles.🥰
Full of pubs but no nightlife
Good point, I don't know where the nearest place would be for nightlife?
Still crimbo in Leicester 😮
Always crimbo in Leicester for some people 😁
Just a side note on the trig Hope you don't mind A church bench mark (CBM) is a horizontal mark carved into stone on a church that indicates a height above sea level. Surveyors used these marks to create maps and ensure that the same location could be accurately repositioned in the future
@@trigmonkey_Lancashire that’s why you are the Trig monkey 😁

I've done a bit of research and Sir Robert Peel was the MP for Tamworth from 1830 until his death in 1850. He twice became British Prime Minister and his period in government saw landmark social reforms and the repeal of the Corn Laws
if you visited on the 7th of december spudman was closed due to the storm he didnt set up as the market was closed
Sorry to fact check but Robert Peel was born on 5 February 1788 in Bury, Lancashire. His father was a wealthy cotton mill owner, and Peel was educated at Harrow and Oxford, entering parliament as a Tory in 1809
Thanks for the fact check, bloody google 😃 It would be good to go to the monument and nip to Bury Market to get some of the famous black pudding.
When you venture up north we could visit the peel monument it was Built in 1852 this well known Bury landmark was erected in tribute to one of Bury's most famous sons, Sir Robert Peel; founder of the Police force and Prime Minister 1841-1846. The tower stands 128ft high and offers stunning views over Manchester and North Wales.
the year is 1701
The prince Rupert formally the wool pack This Grade II listed building dates back to c.1452 and was licensed shortly after. It was restored by the Thurlby group, now Knead pubs in 2010 to magnificent effect. It comprises of several rooms and snugs on two levels, where the beamed, vaulted ceiling of the original Wealden House can be seen Just saying like 😊
