Hey, JC… I get what you're saying about the timing, but man, those monthly dividend checks from O have been growing for over 25 years straight! Sometimes slow and steady wins the race 😊

@@DapperDividends wich i totally understand and might be what some people look for.. but again, don't forget dividends are taxed twice, one for the company and then for the person who get's it. Why not pick better managed REITs that pay basically the same % dividend, with much better, high quality, much faster ROI, 15-20-30 year contracts already made? that's my whole thing when I left 'O' for a different REIT. I'm just saying, I love discussing this stuff, good video mate.

@@jlcfreitasI thought REITs don't pay corporate taxes as long as they distribute at least 90% of their taxable income to shareholders… is that not correct? Care to share what you left O for?

@@DapperDividends yes, you are correct! i apologise for the mistake, i was thinking about a thing because of the place where i live. But the main reason for leaving was basically what i said before, raising money to acquisitions that won't bring much value for the investor, in comparison to the REIT that i made the "trade" with, much better value overall, and they make sure that the acquisition will bring actual value and returns it. Sorry about the mistake again.

I’m very skeptical of XDTE, especially over the long term and through a prolonged bear market (which feels like it may never come). The total return of XDTE since inception has been surprisingly high, but it’s still a derivative based ETF… I stick with O mainly because I love getting those reliable monthly payments that keep growing year after year in my retirement account… But, I’ll be watching XDTE from the sidelines with my popcorn!🍿

Perhaps they annualized it? Good question and I’m not exactly sure.🤔

The size of the U.S. private real estate market is approximately $18.8 trillion, 10x larger than the $1.9 trillion of assets owned by public REITs… as per the Q324 earnings call…

Truth be told, it’s great for that monthly income, but has severely lagged the S&P500 on a total return basis the past five years…
