Guitar Ninja
Добавлен 19 май 2015
Instrumental guitar music is my passion, and my point of focus.
My "Ninjametal" combines elements of Classic Rock, Blues, Thrash Metal, and Grunge with other more alternative stylings and inclusion of my favorite Japanese scales. ...I've been self-producing music for a couple decades, and have produced a ton of independent music for myself and friends. The experimental nature of my audio explorations (with guitar at the helm) isn't for everyone; but if you are into long improvised solos, songs that sound like long solos, and observing a martial artist applying concepts rooted in Ninjutsu to aid in improvising high gain mayhem, you've found the right channel. Make yourself at home, friends!

"Guitjutsu Fire Element"
I like to think this is more of an instant composition than a jam, as it's an excerpt of my riff writing stage of production. This builds, and covers some ground melodically. My focus during riff writing is working between contrasts and continuity, (and when in question, I consider what/how my guitar influences would potentially play in context)
Thank you for checking out my music!

This original was an absolute blast to put together. I didn't rush my arranging process, and came up with some parts I really dig for the first half of the piece, while designating the latter half to improvising over. This original is the celebration of the many successes I am grateful for... *The title refers to the 15th century writings of Yagyu Munenori, who chronicled sword techniques of mythical tengu with his other insightful teachings (as the sword instructor to the reigning Shogun of the time: Tokagawa Iassu)) Yagu's "The Life Giving Sword" is a brilliant work, and for being several hundreds of years...

Hendrix-style "Star Spangled Banner"
Great Job. My favorite part was about 0:15 - 0:40 something, and when You repeat some of that part. I wonder what it would sound like if You left out all the improvise, and thought it all out??? Great Job, and keep Jamming. 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you, my friend! I absolutely get your logic on writing out all the parts, and I admit this doesn't have the most engaging improv section. I often choose to keep my first take, even if it's risky doing so with improvisation. My favorite part of guitar is improvising, and I think I need to incorporate it better to not lose listeners attention I'm starting another album that will be well thought out arrangements with only short solos of improv. Thanks for your helpful input!
Good job bro, keep it up as usual, do you remember me?
@@brae_dy Thank you! ...and if you are the Brady I worked with as a chef, I certainly do. You're one of few great people I've known
Me quedo pensativo, sopesando mis opciones. - "Yabai, shinobi-san! Dokoro de tsukamatsuri da?" (¡Alto, ninja! ¿Qué tipo de duelo es este?) - "Bushido no tsukamatsuri, guitarra de aru!" (¡Un duelo de honor, con guitarra!) - "Kawaikute mo nai! Guitarra to katana, dochira da?" (¡No es divertido! ¿Guitarra o katana, cuál?) - "Sore wa anata no sente da!" (¡Eso depende de ti!) - "Guitarra da! Wari ni ikimasu!" (¡Guitarra! ¡Voy a aceptar el reto!) El ninja asiente, sacando una guitarra eléctrica de su funda. - "Hajime mashou! Omae no gi-ta- o buchi korosu!" (¡Comencemos! ¡Voy a destruir tu guitarra!

Man, that V crushes bro... sweet ass riffing as usual man.
Thanks, man! The Zemaitis is legit, especially after upgrading bridge pickup to DiMarzio Super Distortion pickup
I dug it all, but 0:33 - about 0:48 is my favorite part, and when You repeated it. Keep Jamming My Friend, and Take Care 👍😁👍
Thank you, my friend! The part you like is putely the Japanese "Hirajoshi" scale, if you want to add such to your own playing
@@Ninjametal 👍😁👍 I have a tune on My channel called...Star Lilly, and the Night of Bitter Sweetness....that is composed completely of that scale. 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315That is awesome! I will listen to both
i feel like you're gonna get really big! gonna claim my i was here first ticket!!!
Thank you so much! Haha! I'm happy to just be making and sharing my music. If I can entertain others in the process, even better!
The main majority of the tune had a Slayer feel....with your own feelings , and touch to it. I enjoyed it... Keep Jamming My Friend, and Take Care. 👍😁👍
You're spot on, my friend! Thank you!
Thats RAD! 🤘🤘

While I liked it all my favorite part was 0:14 - 0:35 , and when you repeated this. Great Job, Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you, James! The part you like most (notewise) is the Japanese Iwato scale, but there's a cool rhythmic shift in that section as well. Take care, and keep jamming yourself!
@@Ninjametal 👍😁👍
Holy shit man. That V is sic and sounds rad! I had to look up Zemaitis. Very cool shit. Oh yeah, that riff was bad as f**k too. Keep it up man. Glad to see you're evolving past the days when Vs were for the 'sheepeople'. Hahaha.
@@pandcmitchell Thanks man, glad you dig it! Zemaitis are popular in Japan, but not so many of them here in the states. Most have etched aluminum tops or intricate pearl inlays. Mine has the sandblasted ash top. And I feel misquoted there, as I usually say "sheeple" haha, besides playing a Jackson Rhodes V for a long while. This Zemaitis has none of the flaws my Jackson had, plus has a gig bag that isn't the size of a Buick.
@Ninjametal . right, sheeple. I remember now, lol. I remember a conversation about Kerry and Mustain once where you were trashing Vs and more importantly, Dean. Something of that nature...
@@pandcmitchell That sounds 100% like me haha

@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you so much! I agree making music is about turning the musical ideas in our heads into something that can be shared with others!
Loved the way you timed all that with the drum track. Truly unique and must have been difficult my friend. Harmonics were badass too!
Thank you so much, man! I really appreciate that. It was difficult, but a lot of fun too!
I think you desperately need an awesome white ESP strat bro! Probably next to impossible to find one though...
@@pandcmitchell I don't even remotely want such when I'd rather play my blond strat, and yeah those ESP's with Floyd Rose and single coils are pretty rare
I came back to listen again. I think this the best one so far. Needs more views.
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you so much, that really means a lot! I am working towards more complex and worked out tunes like this, so even if the algorithm is throwing shade, I feel I'm on the right track

I dug this. I was just thinking its been a while for You to post something. Is it an original???
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you nmy friend! Yes, it's an original, you're right! And I've been working on more complex arrangements like this that are slower to produce, but I've also been more busy than usual haha
@@Ninjametal well it was worth it👍
That guitar rips man. Wow. Reminds me of the "Destroyer" days on steroids. They got one at the store in Mandan for like $1500. You shoulda kept that bitch.

That bass track sounds badass man. 🤘
Thank you!
Not a musician and I thought it was pretty rad. Ramp up was Lil slow but you nailed the timing about as good as anybody I listen to. 👍🤘🤘
Thanks man! Some tunes take longer to establish the structure. With all the short form content I make, I don't rush my original pieces And you're a musician- just one that oughta play more haha
I liked the whole thing, but my favorite lick was at about 3:25. That sounded sweet, and I dug that little vibrato there. Keep Jamming, and Take Care My Friend 👍😁👍
Thank you so much! I appreciate it, and take care as well, my friend!
Two guitars, man. 2 to get that haunting Slayer sound. This is the way.
Yep!
I was wondering where the hell you were going... then, pow! Very well done, sir.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. The intro series of bends sets up the structured section
Thank you, my friend! I dig Brocas Helm, so that is awesome!
Very Cool. There is some stuff between 0:29 , and 2:40 something that reminds me of Brocas Helm. Very well done, and great job. Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍

I wish I was behind them drums...Sawshas there...Fox is there...Joel is there...
I'm still there, man
Great build. Loved the first solo and the nasty riffage transition close to the end. Rad bro.
