    If you do egpu video, can you try the finals and cs2? I looked at some videos but performance differs between games drastically. • @JgHaverty
    @JgHaverty 19 дней назад

    Im gonna say this here -> lottttt of people are realllly not understanding what an overclocked 865 with active cooling will be. My lg v60 (865 chip with 6gb ram lol) overclocked is about 30-40% more powerful than stock; though heat is the issue I deal with on it. All ps2 games on 2x; gamecube emulation on 3x and android 10 isnt really that big of a deal for my use cases lol. I think switch emulation is kind of still out of the question for most games. Given the nature of how similar (ON PAPER) the stock dimensity 1100 and 865 are; it sure would be similar for them to spend a lot of money to swap SOC architecture for literally no power gains. Even if the chipset is shipped out "stock" then we're looking at CFW's allowing overclocking anyway. Im not a retroid fan boy; I dont own any of their products; but I do know what an 865 overclocked does, and its a sleeping giant for sure.

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech 19 дней назад

      Overclocking is definitely going to help but the d1100 on the 4 pro isnt running at stock clocks either, we're really going to have to wait and see what retroid does before we can really talk about the performance difference, but as it is right now on paper there isn't much of a boost.

    I don't own a Retroid device currently and it looks like I'll continue to not own a Retroid device. I was on the fence of getting a RP4Pro or saving up for an Odin 2 Mini Pro (so that I can get the white model) and then the Retroid Mini was announced. I was excited until the size of the screen was revealed to be 3.7 inches and that it has an all glass panel front which I heavily dislike. If it was a 4 inch screen, I would have been heavily tempted to buy it. Then the RP5 was announced and I was super excited, "Finally! A handheld that is smaller than my Steam Deck that is hopefully more powerful than the RP4Pro that can play most GC & PS2 games at a potentially more affordable price than the AYN Odin 2 Mini". Then that was all washed away when the specs were revealed. Snapdragon 865, 6GB RAM, Android 10... Pretty much killed my excitement. I will not get any of these Retroid devices. It's a real shame because I would love to get that Gamecube colorway of the RP5. I'll save up for the Odin 2 Mini Pro instead although by the time I can afford it, the Odin 3 might already be out by then lol.
