Bob Marley & the Wailers - African Herbsman Alternate Version 1980
After attempting to restore the criteria studio rehersal version of this song in the previous videos, I had a bunch of assets left over that being the bassline which I recorded myself over the exact same notes and style, the way Familyman plays it in the rehearsal version.
I recreated the drums to the best I could do, using music software, in the same style that Carlton Barrett uses in the rehersal.
Ive used recordings of Seeco Patterson playing percussion which I have added in and some Drum fills By Carly.
The rhythm guitar, piano and keys you hear in there is also from the criteria studio rehersal, But I have also made my own keys to give in the music software also.

Bob Marley - Soul Rebel: Miami Rehearsal Tape - Criteria Studio 1978 I used 2 different sources of this recording, one source had better mid range and the other better high range frequency, so I combining the 2 and removing unwanted noise and chopping to make the start and end feel more complete. I mixed this myself and tried to get the bridge sections to sound more like the live versions, with more emphasis on the bass and drum, reverbs and delay. I also put more emphasis on the sub bass rather than the higher tones of the bass guitar... ENJOY!

The original recording to this concert unfortunately has the start of 'Roots Rock reggae' Cut and starts after the intro to the song, but I have edited taken cuts from the end and middle to fill in the gaps and make it sound something to what the original recording would have sounded like, I took the drum intro from another song from the same concert, Enjoy! 1:21 is where the original recording...
