Yes, using the pump is the easiest way, and the same effect👍.
@@user-gg5oc1xx5d can you do videos for other fluids like...Coolant, Brake, Transmission, power steering flush, differential service? Or know someone who have done them?
Pump will not remove any sludge in the pan. Always have oil warm (not hot!) before draining.
Wrong oil use 5W-30. It literally has that specific on the vehicle

Did you have a check engine light that prompted this cleaning? If so, what was the code and did it fix the issue? I’ve been trying to fix a P112F (aka 101f01) code for a month now!
There was no engine lights or code. Just when I started at morning, engine likes asthma for seconds.after clean it's going ✌️

@@yeeohyeah1740 kinda… the thing that helped the most was actually re-torquing my valve cover bolts. Most of them were finger loose! I still get the check engine light once in a while but not as often as I used to… i have a feeling that having the valve cover loose for so long did some damage to the gasket or something, so I’ll replace the gasket eventually, but it’s livable for now
First the oil you use should be a better quality than mobile 1 ( The N55 engine has some higher standards that should be met that Mobile 1 does not meet) , secondly the X5 oil drain is straight up and down so having only the front tires up doesn’t completely drain the oil . Due to the orientation of the oil pan , the car needs to be level so up on 4 ramps or a lift to drain the oil properly.
What other brands that meet N55 engine standard that you could buy one from stores (Walmart, Autozone and etc..)?

Thank you, the black plastic you can buy from local o'reillys or autozone. It works with AWD very well, RWD not recommend.
Where can I get some of these tools you used? Like to take the cap off the filter etc

老哥 请问车中央千斤顶顶起来的那个地方在哪儿？就是那个center jack point。
这块首先伸胳膊进去摸，摸着一个圆，然后敲一敲按一按，感觉是个硬邦邦的梁，那就是那个point了。车厂给设计的那个point不会太远。这款车放油口螺丝比较先进，要用扭矩扳手！

@@jiahaotang1924 放油小窗口往前点有个凹进去的圆，用来顶千斤顶的，敲一敲按一按。其他不是顶千斤顶的地方能看得出来，按起来是空的。 买oil filter的时候，里面会带一个放油螺丝，用来替换旧螺丝。螺丝是塑料的，上面写着用多少牛米来拧这颗塑料螺丝。如果手上没有合适的soclet，推荐拿着这颗螺丝去home depot配个。 视频中的这款是后驱的428。如果你的428是xdrive四驱的，就不用搞两个千斤顶和 jack stands了，可以买那种三角形的小斜坡，像我给x5和玛莎拉蒂换机油的视频里用的那种。
@@user-gg5oc1xx5d 感谢耐心分享！center point找到了其他就好说了。那种小斜坡我有，换机油时好用！这次是要换刹车片，所以必须得把车前面架起来。换机油那个放油螺丝好像原厂是10mm的内六角，是换一次之后必须换掉，还是也可以继续用？我看有的人视频是正常的外六角，有的人视频就说是内六角。
@@jiahaotang1924 估计是由于发动机批次不同导致放油螺丝款式不同。 放油螺丝推荐经常更换。我的上一辆x5就因为没有经常更换而滑丝卡在了油底壳上，跑到小店铺费了好大的劲儿才给拿下来。

所有带螺纹的东西上：逆时针是松，顺时针是紧。推荐到店里换机油，自己弄太麻烦了！

This is wrong information. I drive a 535i with n55 engine and it has a throttle body plus valvetronic
