hi i wanna ask a basic thing..!!! dis bike's air filter is paper filter..does every bike has paper air filter or other material air filter ? how freq does d impulse air filter needs to be replaced ? my mechanic told me dat he cleaned d filter wid air, whereas manual says never wash or blow air to clean d element !!!! kindly clarify my confusion ?

Hi Rushad, Thank you for the Video. Im a proud owner of Hero Impulse from Jan 2012. My friend suggested me abt installing K/N filter. I dont know the actual use for that. Also can you please englighten me abt Iridium Spark Plug and splitfire heavy duty cable, i mean what is the use of it to a bike. Im novice and hope ull help me with that. Have a Great day :)

go for it after minimum 1200 km spark plug wire is v.easy to fit and works like a charm yes its normal fr the filter to be out dont worry about it

Hi Rushad, I am having few question for you i bought Impulse few days back and I am also planning for same modifications as your 1) after how many kms on odo i should go for these modification 2) spark plug wire is it easy to change wire or it cause some problem 3) it seems to me air filter is coming out from right side of my impulse is it normal in all other impulse whether it can accomodate k&n filter

I'm from Bangalore, they are many mechanics around here without deep knowledge :D so just didn't want to take risk by going for upjetting Incase if I get only filter how much drop can I expect in mileage??

Thanks for the info bro, let me explain the situation here, for upjetting you need experienced hands (I think) but I'm really afraid where do I find such a guy.... So if I just get the K&N RC 1060 installed, will it leads to any mileage drop?? And is there any effect to engine in future by just replacing filter without upjetting?? please reply, thanks in advance

HI surya! Yes u are correct in the things you need! spark plug and ignition cable are Mandatry as u need the whole package for real improve in performance! If your Looking Only For Sound then its OK YES! up-jetting is imprtant too! by Up-jeting u will notice NO chnge in your bikes Mileage as the jets are not designed to perform effectively with your High air flow Filter. thus the New jets will help your carburetor perfrm without strain YES you can also get your bike Back to stock in every aspect

Hi Rushad, Got Impulse which is done 600kms, planning to go for K & N after 2000kms.. as I read from your previous comments I need to have: 1) K & N RC 1060 2) Iridium Spark Plug 3) Heavy Duty Ignition Cable from Splitfire And would like to know the following from you: 1) Is Spark Plug & Ignition cable really mandatory ?? 2) Is upjetting a must?? as I read upjetting is changing the size of main jet, so if I wanted the stock mode later can I convert? Most importantly why upjetting required

i have hero impulse in black colour,,i lv it, it has great torque to overtake from others 150 cc bikes , but i was diassapointed by its ps. bhp,,,,, in plains it is good but it not give responce in offroading ,at hieghts,, my que------ 1- can its performance can be increased by k&n air filter, and how much it cost, 2- air filter element or whole kit is to be installed 3- its disadvantages?

am sorry bro but dis is a fail bike from hero .. no power spcly der is no bottom end torque needs to change gears frequently . the only good thing abt dis bike is its ergonomics and suspension. rear drum is just 110 mm it has spongee type feeling when you apply rear brakes.

irridium last longer nd gives a more powerfull and consistent fire... response of throttle improves and yes upjetting was a musssst

Ul neeed to get a K&N Rc1060 air filter! make sure its ORIGINAL get an IRIDIUM SPARK PLUG and Heavy Duty Ignition CABLE from Splitfire Im not sure as to where these parts would exactly be available in Jamshedpur but u can try online at ebay.in
