In those days the opening credits DID NOT belong to the actors..it belonged to the producers, directors etc. The actors were introduced afterward. Later in the 1920’s when the public started taking notice of the actors and their performances in their roles, and started to bestow accolades to those actors, did the focus shift more toward the actors than the producers, screenwriters etc..amazing!

Always amused to see Dave O'Brien. But even the cast seen in clips with names of actors and roles held no interest for me. Unknowns and mediocrities. Only Richard Loo has anything to offer...played villains, voice held menace well.

Completely new to me. Important to know, this movie goes back to 1944. I have to admit the only name of the cast that rang a nice sounding bell was Elisha Cook jr. But I have an excuse, I'm from Belgium and was "only" born in 1966. The Imdb rating by some 300 viewers is 5,4. Meaning, it isn't a catastrophically bad one, but neither a gem. It has its charm as most old time movies seem to have. Although it's a crime movie and hence dealing with crime, it shows us how different the world was back then, and somehow, without having witnessed that world, it makes me somewhat "nostalgic", when comparing it to our rapidly digitalizing world. Although people didn't have RUclips in those years :) Thanks for the upload !

From 1952 to 1983 only one fire exceeded 10,000 acres, on the entire west coast of America. Today, tens of millions of acres burn up every year. Bigger in death property, and the amount of forest that could be used for homes and economic gain. Forest management made the difference. THANK A GREENIE FOR THE CHOCKING AIR QUALITY EVERY SUMMER. Then they would have less of an excuse to steal more from us by with Carbon Credits. For what nothing while the rest of the world gets to pollute twice as much as us.

Always a fun watch :) Jane Withers was probably one of the most positive people in Hollywood, saw the humor in being nemesis to Shirley Temple without having a hang-up about it, played roles that weren't necessarily A-list but always put her heart & soul into her work. As kids in the 60's, we laughed at her plumber commercials hawking drain cleaner - as an older adult, I've come to respect Jane Withers for the indomitable spirit she was :)

Richard Crane was perfect as the stalwart Commander Rocky Jones, ot the Space Rangers, in this sci-fi adventure series set in the year 2000. Scotty Beckett was terrific as Winky, his young cadet co-pilot, and all us boys had a crush on the lovely Veena Ray (Sally Mansfield) in her "cross your heart" straps. Maurice Cass played the Chief of Operations at Space Central on Earth. The costumes were outstanding. Visual effects typical for the time, and the acting was good.

This is a feature film version of the classic sci-fi TV series ROCKY JONES, SPACE RANGER (1953-1955) edited from a two-part episode, made in early 1954. This feature version was released for syndication on television in 1956.

I would follow officers named Rocky and Winkie through the gates of Hell! Yes Sir! I'm looking for that ever-present Danger Meter. Minute 16:36 Knitting in space, a new norm? 19:16 A balloon to locate a pinhole leak! Brilliant! I'll sign up for Space Rangers as long as there are Space Babes too!

A delightful late Depression-Era family Comedy, I enjoyed it immensely; I especially love the heroine ‘Jerry’, a precocious little-girl who’s personality reminds Me of a mix between Shirley Temple’s Characters and girl-sleuth ‘Nancy Drew’! This is a gem!! Thank-You so much for uploading!
