    I'm seeing this in 2023 and have to add my 4 cents: A number 1 no-no, especially for "young"/new/emerging artists, is OVER pricing your work. As an independent curator and former gallerist is it is always annoying (and telling) is an artist who thinks they can price their work at the same rates as A list established artists (ie $10,000 or $50,000). This is also especially true of poorly executed work or work of inferior materials... Do not put the price of your artwork on your website. Works exhibited in commercial galleries should not have the prices on the wall labels. A gallery copy price sheet or direct inquiries to the gallerist or curator are best. Artists can also get some legal help from non-profit legal services for artists such as Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA). Most of these legal arts services charge very nominal fees on a sliding scale based on income. They'll even hold free public workshops often at local community arts/cultural centers or museums... Just sayin...

      It would be wonderful to hear a more elaborate version of the “view from the other side of barricades” on gallery representation. Would you like to share about your experience in a video?

    Thumbs down on this video because all of thoseincubators are a SCAM that take 6% of a startup in exchange for NOTHING.

    • @scorementorsboston6347
      @scorementorsboston6347 Год назад

      Accelerators and incubators are time-tested ways for start-ups to obtain financing and support. By taking equity the accelerator shares the risk if the company fails and the reward if the company succeeds. Like any industry there may be unscrupulous actors, so you should always conduct your due diligence before signing with a particular accelerator. But it is not correct to say that they are all scams.

    A few thoughts and corrections: 1) Only one RSA ad is required per ad group. Creating two RSAs is a pointless waste of effort because an RSA effectively does the job of several ETAs; plus it will also slow down the machine learning because impressions will be split between two ads. The old Ad Grant rule has been redundant since ETAs were sunset. I wish they had popped up a notification to tell users this, because you're not the only one who hadn't realized yet. 2) The rule about logging in and making changes regularly was removed over four years ago, replaced by the new rules about maintaining quality. There is no requirement to do this for compliance, but you're right that it's still a very good idea to do regular maintenance. There was a notification about this back in 2018 when the rules changed. 3) Accounts no longer get suspended for non-compliant keywords. Instead, they have moved to a system where they automatically pause your single word / off-mission / low quality keywords There was no announcement about this, but you can check your Change history report to see this in action. 4) The 5% CTR rule is still in place, but these days I almost never see an account scoring less than that, and it's easily fixed. The average CTR across the program is well above 10%. Aim high. The only nonprofits that should expect to struggle with CTR are those working in very competitive fields (loans, finance, law etc) in which case they are likely to also struggle to get impressions and have a high CPC (cost per click) and should probably be using paid not free ads in order to get results. The new Microsoft Ad Grant bids more competitively, and has no minimum CTR rules so would also be a good option for those nonprofits. It's simpler to set all campaigns to a $329 budget, the overall spend will always be capped at $329. The only reason to limit a specific campaign would be when you're maximizing the budget spend most days, and want to prioritize particular campaigns over others.
