Excellent video! Just one question. What does the Super Resolution+ feature do? Does it make any difference? Thanks.
Thank you! As for your question, the super resolution+ is meant to be used with low resolution as it increases sharpness - it has low, middle, high, off options. I guess this feature might help with older games that have not been graphically updated, but I have not played any such game so I can't say - but we now also have the scaling options from AMD and Nvidia, so I don't know if the monitor feature would be needed.
@jackalldiytech appreciate the quick and detailed response. To followup In day to day non-gaming use does it make text appear sharper? Is it worth turning on if not gaming is my question. I'm planning to buy the 27 inch model and I believe that 1080p on a 27 inch wouldn't look great so was wondering if this Super Resolution feature would help in any meaningful way.
That is a valid question, I did not think about the text. I did a quick test and you may see some changes with the text already on the low setting - but the change is tiny and most likely makes the text look worse, depends on the font and colour. Most changes are noticeable with images/video/games, but even there I would say the low preset is enough if you need just a bit of sharpness. How that will look on a 27" monitor I can't say as the pixels are bigger.
@@jackalldiytech you're the man! Thank you so much!
But it has Screen Bleeding/IPS Glow issue
Yes, every IPS panel has some IPS glow, how good/bad is lottery. This is an image taken in darkness. I did the best I could but the monitor is brighter and whiteish-greyish instead of blueish, still it should give you an idea where the glow hotspots are on mine imgur.com/a/Z3DKugp
It's always strange to see that the packaging of expensive computer parts doesn't have security stickers! Someone malicious could, for example, swap fans for used ones in a warehouse somewhere or something similar! This is certainly not the case in all countries, but there are also countries where such a risk may exist!
I do have to point out that this came from a 3rd seller on Amazon, not Amazon or Thermalright, but still it's not what you want to experience, especially with more expensive items. When it comes to pricing, I think companies also take potential theft and shipping defects into account and I would imagine the prices also differ depending on location.
@@jackalldiytech I am in Europe, Estonia (a small country) and this CPU cooler costs 56-77 euros in various computer stores. This is of course one of the best coolers in this price range!
hey, I have a request just so I can decide whether to get this or not take a picture of the screen with the pov in the middle (like you're using it) in a very dark room with the screen in all black (fullscreen a black image)
Here you go, I think it's ok when it comes to IPS glow. The image should be grey-whiteish not blueish, and it should be brighter - I couldn't get the camera dialed in imgur.com/a/Z3DKugp
@@jackalldiytech damn, that's actually nice, pretty even and no intense glow. Thanks
and what about deep blacks as compared to va panel
Since it is an IPS panel the blacks are not pitch black, and every IPS monitor has some IPS glow or light bleed. Just a quick test of a video that has black bars on top and bottom (normal movie or series), I could see that the top bar was darker than the bottom one. But as I do not watch anything in complete darkness this is not distracting.
thismodel vs samsung essential s3 equivalent what do you think
There seem to be multiple S3 models, but if you were looking at this one LS24C334GAWXXL (found it on croma.com) then the main difference is the VGA vs DisplayPort connector. But when it comes to the connectors, I don't like that the connectors on the S3 are mounted at 90 degrees, this is just asking for the cable to pull on them.
how much VRAM?
The RTX 3060 Ti has 8GB of VRAM.
Please which one is better? Acer ek240Y or this one LG? I am getting it on almost same price from flipkart.
Hey, thanks for the question. I see there are multiple versions of the monitor so I don't know which one is available to you on flipkart. - The biggest differences within the Acer monitor versions are 60Hz / 75Hz / 100Hz refresh rates. - In case you need a 3.5mm audio output from the monitor then the Acer does not have it, but the LG one has the audio output, but neither monitor has built-in speakers. - The Acer 100Hz came out in 2023 just like the LG. - Panel vise Acer 100Hz is VA while the LG is IPS, there are reviews on amazon india for the Acer EK240Y 100Hz 2023 model - one of them mentions heavy ghosting so if gaming is your priority you should take that into consideration. - One review was worrying when it comes to India's power grid, they used an electricity tester on the negative side of the HDMI cable and the tester lit up. I don't know if that is a defect or if monitors are for some reason being grounded in that way. - 1 Monitor supposedly caught fire (there is an image), which for the LG one I have can say that it runs cool, though I don't know if humidity and air temperature played a role for that fire defect. - A lot of monitors had artifacting. I don't know what kind of policy Acer has for returns when it comes to artifacts, dead pixels and such. I suggest you look at the amazon india reviews (at least the image posts) and see for yourself.
@jackalldiytech. Thanks for the reply Actually both are same, IPS, 100hz, 23.8 inches. The only difference is Acer is showing 1ms response time and LG is 5ms . The main thing I am concerned is about the built quality and lifespan. Or after sales services.
@@jackalldiytech also Acer is arriving tomorrow, but today I got this LG offer is less price which is same as the acer240Y. So I am confused if I should cancel Acer and order Lg or stick to my order.
From what I see is that Acer uses VRB (Visual Response Boost - The VRB feature works by employing techniques such as overdrive and strobing the backlight to minimize perceived motion blur). So that is why they market 1ms response time, but this is not gray to gray response time. I can't speak about Acer's monitor build quality or their aftersale services as I never had an Acer product - look up what the warranty for the two monitors is and what the warranty covers.
I imagine that you should be able to test the Acer monitor to see if it meets your needs. But I don't know how consumer are protected in your country and if you have any return period for items ordered online.
Does it have speakers?
This monitor does not have built-in speakers, but it does have a 3.5mm audio jack so you can use headphones or connect speakers to it. However, the audio chip on your motherboard most likely has a better sound quality.
@@jackalldiytech thanks for the help
More FUD and pearl clutching based on misinformation and misunderstanding. Go read the updated blog post for yourselves people. This is a whole lot of something over nothing and frankly the noise is getting tiresome.
Well they did update the blog post, but it's mainly for putting out fires. It doesn't help their case that they have edited their first blog post and said people spread misinformation - granted some of the claims are wild but possible to implement. They say it's a beta testing and you're not forced to update, which is true, but they don't say what will happen when the so called beta ends. Newly bought printers will come with this update installed, when that will be I don't know but for users' sake hopefully the update will be out of beta by then. There was also some issue with the Orca Slicer initially not getting support ie. other slicers getting blocked, it is getting support now but you will first have to start the Bambu Connect / studio app. And something just popped up on orcaslicer github about LAN connectivity and certificates - but I'll leave that in the rumor mill.
try researching this properly
Did you have any aspect specifically in mind? If I dig too deep, based on some of the information I found, I think I'd need a month or two and end up with a documentary.
It means nothing ! Its only RUclipsrs overreacting and clickbaiting people !
RUclips is just one of the platforms where people can express their concern and bring awareness, and I believe the concern is legitimate, especially if you have seen that Bambu has changed the blog post and in a new post they said we spread misinformation. This may just be a start, they can follow it up by requiring Bambu only filament or even a paid subscription, but if that is fine with you no one is preventing you from buying more Bambu stuff.
Bambu Labs..”the dji of printers”..oh wait a sec..founder worked at dji and that “country” 😂
Oh.. well that makes sense. It's just a shame they had to prove people right.
Bambu Lab just stepped in a pile of sh!t, then they put that same foot into their mouths. They we’re on top, and instead of riding the wave of success, they just removed themselves from the top of the 3D printing empire. Now Creality, QIDi and Prusa will fight for the top spot, while Bambu will get left behind. I can sense a disturbance in the Force, as if millions of 3D printing hobbyist all did a face palm at the same time. I’m getting some Creality K2 Plus and QIDi Plus 4 printers instead, for my new printing business.
I kind of get that they would want to make money with spools, like the inkjet printer companies do. However, the 'security' updates I don't get, unless that too is considered to be a comparison to apple. I do like the qidi and creality options, but I would like to see decent options in the 500 range.
Is the height adjustable?
Hey, the stand height is not adjustable. Most cheaper monitors have non adjustable height, so you either need a monitor arm or use books/box/stand to lift it up.
@jackalldiytech thanks
Try Anycubic S1 maybe? It is enclosed and in mid $500 range. I hope it is close to if not better than Bambu ab.
Thanks for the suggestion, will take a look!
I placed my early bird order on Anycubic S1. Haven’t seen one bad review on it so I’m excited to get mine Feb. for the features and the price it’s a no brainer. No more BL crap for me.
@ Agreed. I am a user coming from Anycubic Kobra 1, which is a good printer for tinkerers. Due to lack of replacement parts, I sought to go for best printers with less issues to deal with with reasonable price tag. hopefully, S1 delivers the best of expectations and productivity.
It’s in the very fabric of commies DNA… can’t be too surprised. We’ve all been cautiously expecting this. Very very disappointing.
Bambu has been on my radar since a1 came out, finally I'm in the purchase state so I at least dodged the bullet. And many more will also hold off with purchases. Though I did see one can just disable all ports on router fir the printer and then use Ethernet with say orca slicer.
They can kick rocks. I have several X1C and AMS units. Used to shill for them so hard one would assume I WORKED for them. But after this "safety and security" update, im done. We all know what this is about. They were likely approached by western govs to tighten usage of 3d printers. We will likely see this with all other brands soon. How else can bambu explain doing something ILLEGAL so brazenly. And then like the communists they are, they wrote a gaslighting hitpiece about how users concerns are "misinformation". I voiced my concerns on the forum and was IMMEDIATELLY CCP censored, and then got a soft ban till the 24th for being "too combative". Welp. Anyone wanna buy a dozen X1C units dirt cheap? I paid for them, and now cant use it as i please. I was going to buy a sht ton of H2D units to grow my farm, but now? Ya lost me.
bambulab tryna be the apple of 3d printing is fucking hallarious 😂 last i checked, ppl didnt 3d print, to pay MORE for shit 🤣
Yesterday I bought the 27" model, and I am impressed by this one. I tested it in CS2 and those 100 Hz makes the difference from 60 Hz. Even if this isn't marketed as a gaming monitor, it is a good and cheap option for the ones that want to game at higher than 60 Hz. It also features AMD FreeSync, though I haven't tested it as I didn't have enough time, and I am not sure if it works on Linux Distro I have on my PC. Once I will install windows, I will try to see if it can be OC'ed to 120 Hz (even if it is pointless at this point). The brightness at 100% at night is more than what I need.
Thank you for the feedback. The jump from 60Hz is very noticeable. Ideally the monitor would have 120Hz so even console players could fully utilse it. When it comes to overclocking, a 20% increase seems like a lot to me, but if it works out for you great! Just remember that the components may break sooner as they have to work faster, if they'll even be able to. So if you do OC it let us know what your result will be.
Best air flow with these, is to keep the original setup, and flip the cpu fan, so it's blowing into the psu. Larger atx psu also has a bigger fan, which helps exhaust more air, and is quieter. I like your thinking behind it, to fit a bigger cooler, but you don't have any exhaust with this custom setup, so heat can't escape
Thanks a lot for this video ! Merci !
You are welcome. On a side note, I just released a longer video on setting up Wi-Fi connectivity to print via phone/tablet and I have another video planned for setting up/using the scanner.
Why did you out the PSU there instead of where it goes?
I put the psu there so I could use a full size cooler and still have space for a GPU on the bottom.
I had a SiliconPower 256GB Sata SSD die after about 2 days of use and I never bothered to warranty it so i'll give this a crack and see how it goes
Let me know if you'll have any success
@jackalldiytech unfortunately not. I don't believe that silicon power provides anything good quality though.
Tip: Sometimes pause the video to add text explanation.
Thank you for the feedback, will remember to do so.
Seeing you reply to basically every comment so quickly is just pure respect. I bought this monitor yesterday so when I have questions ill ask you :)

Is the orange light strip meant to be blinking?
Hey, thanks for the question. There is an option in the BIOS and I think the LED can blink/breathe, be turned ON or OFF. However, the change is not applied immediately and will only be visible once you save and reboot. You might be able to change the LED state if you use some lighting software.
@ thank you :)
can i use with DP-HDMI cable or adapter or DVI-D-HDMI cable or adapter? any experience?
Hey, you can use the monitor with DP-HDMI, connecting DP to graphic card and HDMI to monitor. The DVI-D - HDMI might work, I say might because you usually connect newer display connection type to the GPU and the older type to the monitor. That is because the adapters usually don't convert from older to newer types. I have never tested it so I can't say if connecting HDMI to GPU and DVI-D to the monitor will work, but I do know that the opposite does work.
what can i use if i dont have jumper wires?
You will need some kind of wires, if they have shielding that would be the best but it also depends where the speakers will be and if you have any other interference where the wires will run. In the video I only did a demonstration with prototyping board wires. For a lasting result the best thing would be to solder the wires in place. While not ideal you could use the UTP (LAN) cable wires. The cable has shielding but because it has so many wires it's a bit thick. Also for audio you would want to use a multi strand cable, especially if you'll be moving the setup around, as the single strand wires can snap.
@@jackalldiytech Great explanation thank you so much
I recently bought from bestbuy off ebay and for some reason in the descripsion it said it only supports 3000 series. I have a ryzen 5 5600 so would i have to buy a 3000 series to update it or should it come already supporting the 5000 series?
Hey. That is a bit strange. I can't say for certain, usually it says on the box something like "Ryzen 5000 ready", but if it was old stock it's possible it has older bios version. Only way to find out is to try it.
@ okay thank you if it ends up not working i guess i will get a older processor and update it then resell that
I know that AMD would send you a CPU to do the upgrade, but I don't know if this is still the case
You can just update the Bios to make it support 5000 series@@evan88383
Thank you for sharing! I am planning my build in the same case. What I found out for such cases with bottom mounted fans is that the best option to get low profile fans to create more space between fans and gpu. I am wondering if there is possibility to mount two 120mm fans on the bottom. Also I found out that there is possibility to mount 120mm aio in the front, which significantly improves cpu temperature at the same cost as low profile air cooler. So far I would try to fit 2 low profile 120mm fans at the bottom, 120mm aio in the front, 140mm fan at the top and tiny 40mm fan for vrm/ddr zone (it really helps). It was really good to see your video, I got the understanding what else and how I can try to fit into the case, thank you again!
Hey, thank you for your input! The low profile fans could certainly work. However, the front mounting brackets for the button and I/O is taking up space so at most there is 22cm space which means no 2x120mm fans, maybe you could tilt one fan over the bracket, but it would depend on the GPU length and shroud shape. In case you're feeling adventurous you can use a 160mm fan at the top, more specifically the SilverStone SF160 - but I have my doubts if that would be that much better, over a 140mm fan, to warrant a $30 price tag.
how is the color compared to Koorui 24e3?
I would not know as I have not used that monitor. But I can say that the colour looks ok, at least to me, after adjusting the RGB values based on my eye vision. Using a colorimeter would be ideal of course, but most of us don't have one as we don't buy monitors that often.
does it come with wifi or do you need to have a connection
Heya, this board does not come with wifi. If a board has wifi it will be a part of the model name. Also note that wifi boards are more expensive, in which case a wifi card or USB dongle might be cheaper, but it depends on your needs and budget.

Hello! Does it have glow issues or white haze? (In dark scenes). And does it have text fringing? Thanks for the review!
Displaying a full screen black image with lights turned off: there is some glow but nothing major in my opinion. As for text fringing, I have crisp text.
@jackalldiytech Thank you very much for such quick response! By fringing it means the colors on the edges of the texts & fonts even tho it's crisp. Currently the only budget monitor i found with the best quality (including black levels) is HP M24 webcam monitor (205$ here) another is probably Lenovo L24i-40 (185$) but reviews are scarce, so not sure :(
@NoobSvCy The prices in some places are extremely high! Prior to answering, I did have to look up what fringing meant, in the context of text display on monitors. There is no text fringing, I would notice it by now as I read and write text, I'm typing out this comment and I also do some coding. Is the monitor that I got an above average unit when it comes to quality? I would certainly hope not.
@@jackalldiytech i see. thank you for your help! ☺️
I just bought this board and it says it supports Ryzen 5000. Do I need to downgrade the BIOS to get it to work with Ryzen 1700x?
Hey, from what I see on Asus website under the CPU support for this motherboard you shouldn't need to downgrade based on official info. It says the *BIOS version* has to be *equal or higher* than version *0219* in order for the 1700x CPU to work. That BIOS version is the first one and it came out in 2018, so I doubt any newly bought board comes with that version installed. TL:DR No you don't need to downgrade.
i am getting this monitor and i have 60 hz rn is the diffrence between 60hz and 100hz a big diffrent since i play games like fortnite and valorant?
Hey, thanks for the question. Anything over 60Hz is noticeable, especially in fast moving scenes like FPS games. And in case you intend on using the monitor for a long time I suggest you get a monitor with 120Hz or more. This is my recommendation of 8 24" monitors under $100 that I would consider buying. Sure thing, I haven't updated the bios since my system runs fine. The bios version my board came installed with is 4202, which came out in 31/7/2023, and the latest version that came out just recently is 4622, from 14/11/2024.
if my speakers are rated 20W each, does it matter if i get a board that support up to 50W on each one?
In your case you just need to make sure that the board supports at least 40w, 20w on each channel, if you want to crank them speakers to max volume. Having a higher Watt driver board than what the speakers need is better.
Hello can you make a tutorial on how to remove the stand of this monitor, im planning to buy a monitor arm soon
Hey, thanks for the question. Maybe that could be a topic for a short video since it's fairly easy to remove it, but you do need both hands to do it. - With one hand grab the monitor by the frame at the bottom middle. - With the other hand you'll have to push in a clip, that is on the other side of the monitor on the stand. - Once the clip is pushed in, lift the monitor up from the stand. - Alternative: You can also lay the monitor down on a flat but soft surface, if you use this second method make sure you're not too rough as you can damage the panel.
bruh..so many fans 😂
there's never too many! Unless you have to start kicking to get them in ;)
Hey man, I have an issue with ghosting, does this monitor ghost a lot?
Hey. I don't know what a lot means for you. I did go to ufo test to do a quick ghosting test and I do see ghosting there. But when I played some games, even fast paced shooters, ghosting didn't stand out to me.
@jackalldiytech Well yeah it's a bit hard to define what a lot means, sorry. Thanks for the reply!
i buy it and is very good 😃
That great to hear
Hi! i like this idea and i was wondering if the amazon item in the reply for this comment would work for some speakers harvested from fairly new lg tv. they say 14w max on the back. also do i need to solder it and do i need any other equipment? thanks a lot :)
Hi, I don't see any link you might have posted in your comment so I can't help you with that. When it comes to electronics it needs to make solid connection, be it with soldering, crimping 2 wires together or have a connector with a screw to screw the wire in place.
Yo bro i have a laptop (60hz intel integrated graphic ) do u think that if i connect my laptop to the monitor it will increase my fps in fortnite?
As long as it's not a very old CPU then the iGPU should be good enough to give you 100fps to take full advantage of the monitors refresh rate.
I have a work laptop that is 60 hz, when plugged into my home monitor (165 hz) it can only reach 60hz in settings, so I would be wary, see if you can find out more info
Hi it mabee ur HDMI cable or ur laptop is having problem check other yt videos if changing HDMI dint change@@stevesteaven8349
Im dont know much about these but how do i connect by keyboard and mouse
Hi, no worries and thank you for the question. This is not an all in one PC if that is what you are after, this is only a monitor (providing you a picture). If you're interested in this monitor you will need a computer (or a laptop) to which you will connect your monitor and mouse - plugging them into a USB port.
@@jackalldiytech ok ty for clarifying
Clarification.. After the last step, you said to put the main router's password in the password field? Which router is this? The router you are initially joining to the third router? I only have two routers that I can use.
I see that I worded it poorly so thank you for the question. You have to put in the password of your main router that this router will connect to, in bridge mode this router is an extension of your main one. So if you use wi-fi for instance, and you're not in range of the main router but are in range of the bridged one, then you won't lose connection as it will automatically switch - that is my understanding of it anyway, it's been a while since I've done and used this.
Hey how can i turn gamemode on?
There's an LG app called onscreen control that gives you more control including the game mode.
