Nice tutorial, bur I have a small question regarding this. Is there a way to clean the inside of where the window goes down ? Mine is full of leaves of cypress which makes the window go down slowly and I would like to clean it. Thanks.
@mehdi.bphotography9740 hi mate I would try use the seal pick I was using around the channel to try and get the worst off have a hoover as well so they will go into that. Then use some wash and wax diluted into a spray bottle. Or whatever you wash the car with. If it is really bad that chrome trim can come off. If you use a wide paint scraper and put it in between the paint and the bottom of the strip and bang it with the palm of your hand it will pop off. Don't use a hammer as you will damage the trim. When your finished use some silicone spray or white lithium grease down the channel it will free it up a treat. Hopefully this helps. Thanks for watching
Nice video✊
@@SALTANDSUGAR-c7 thanks mate and thanks for watching
Brilliant. Icy day today minus 4 and window didn’t go down but motor did😂 Everything thawed out and window fell down. I’m hoping it’s just come out of the clips after seeing you’re video 👍
@japautosalon oh nothing worse mate. Hopefully it is just them plastic clips. They do break quite easily or you could be really lucky and it's just the screws loosened. I would suggest a little slip of rubber like a bicycle inner tube between the glass and the plastic clip just for extra grip. Thanks for watching
Hello, "Mini Daly" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or ig or where?
Nice work pal!
@SimpsonsClassics thanks mate slowly working up to the quarter panel it's till so daunting even though I did one on the 87
@@SimpsonsClassics thanks for watching
I've got my 09 corsa to do in summer so I hope it goes as easy as this. I need the piston tool, that'll help. It's been 20yrs since I've done brakes so slightly nervous 😂😂. hopefully mine will come off as easy as yours 😬. Great video 👍.
@velmathemini exact same to do mate. Take your time if it's just pads you should have them out and in in 15 mins. Just don't forget to take the cap off the master cylinder
@@velmathemini thanks for watching
These are decent cars to be fair. Anything that saves paying the main stealers is a huge plus! Great video
There not bad. I'm usually not a fan but the only thing I could fault with driving is the 500 dings and bongs whe. You start it. I'd drove quite nice and the seats were quite comfortable. Still wouldn't buy one 😂😂😂
@RichieRouge206 thanks for watching mate
Great video fella! Gotta love proper Minis. Which mics have you got?
I'm not sure the brand. I need to get new ones though. Thanks for watching mate
Do like the Moggy
This only just showed on my feed 😢
@RichieRouge206 all good mate it was a month or 2 back
Those heritage hinges aren't cheap & they're not often in stock. I like what you did to save them. I've never drilled & tapped in my life. I get how you've done it though 😊👍.
@velmathemini I wouldn't usually use a drill when tapping something but it was the quickest way and they were been welded at the back as well. Yeah heritage anything isn't cheap. Thanks for watching mate
The bonnet is serving Mippi well for repair pieces!! Getting closer mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's helping the morris as well 😂 can't beat decent steel. Thanks for watching mate
A labor of love. tHanks for the video
It is a labour of love I have to admit Thanks for watching
Do like a mk4
When will we see more of the morris minor? 😁
The next episode we will button up the rear arch and have it in paint and move on. Work starts tomorrow. Thanks for watching
That rain is a pain isn't it? Had the same problem on one of my videos. Great video though fella
I remember that it was like white noise in the video mate. Thanks for watching
Nice seeing the heat gun 😮. Next the qtr panel on? Or did you say you're going to do something on the minor?
@velmathemini it's that time of the year again it's needed. I'd love to get it on next. But I've to work on the morris next.
Ahhh the stick of truth 😂
I wish I'd kept it in the shed at the end 😂
That dusk is genuine Barn Find Dust, more valuable than ginger dust!! I 😂
I should have had the barn find fleece on for it 😂😂😂
You should some of the bodged repairs and crap paint I come across at work sometimes 😂
Wait until you see when I'm finished with it 😂 you can use it in your what not to do in repairs 😂😂
I learned last year at college all about spray guns, prep, spraying and lacquer and got faurly good at it! It's such a satisfying job when you getthe hang of it. Awesome video
@@RichieRouge206 it really is so rewarding. The key to a good spray job is prep. The spray job goes down south fast without it
Some seriously lovely Minis there
@@RichieRouge206 I really want to film this again properly. It was the last video with my old phone. All shakey and bad audio
The weather is a real pain with painting isn't it? Unless you have a heated shop or ovens its impossible in winter. Doing a grewt job fella!
@RichieRouge206 getting there slowly mate. The workshop is starting to annoy me a bit but I have to remember I could be working outside. Take the rough with the s Smooth. Thanks for watching
Just looking at the rust around your subframe area & my drivers side was similar. I had loads of rust. I used a product called furtan (think it's spelt like that. You can leave it on bare metal for 3mths without paint. Just something to think about if you want to leave it while it warms up.
@@velmathemini I know the stuff you are on about. I think I may get a bottle of it for the winter months. Although there is always a heat gun 😂 thanks for watching mate
@MiniDaly87 heat guns are magical things 😁
Great video. I personally like the videos where you've making up your own panels etc. I would also like longer videos but i understand that you can't cover absolutely everything. Anyway that's just my feedback. Great video and you give us all great encouragement to keep at our hobby!
@pjcurran1717 thank you so much for your comment and feedback I'll be showing more fabrication work in the new year with it. And will also do slightly more detail in them as I go along. I really can't cover everything but I'll try and film as much as I can
Good video as always pal
@@Busterbrady-zw3yd thanks buster
Thank you so much for the shout out man!! It looks like a late 80s Mountfield but the green colour is throwing me off 🤔 Really cool video, you are great to watch and personable. These genuine real life videos are so much more relatable. Keep up the good work - great work on the Moggy
@RichieRouge206 thanks man it really means alot to me. I was thinking it was 80s alright or early 90s with the 375 engine in it
I was in my garage today too. It was cold. I managed about two hours before calling it a day. However, I did manage to get the driver's side floor repair panel tacked in place and ready for welding.
@Conor.Twomey definitely not an ideal time to be at it. I think I did 3 in total waiting for the primer fo dry and tidying etc. Great to hear you have the floor repair panel tacked in. Any progress is progress. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the shout out 😊. Your garage looks as cold as mine. We need summer again. I've never put a qtr panel on a mini so that'll be interesting 😊.
No problem at all mate. It was bloody freezing in there today and I've lost my hat 😂 I have a video of me removing it. I'm really hoping it goes back on as easy. Thanks for watching mate
@MiniDaly87 those hats are so warm. I've been using mine the last couple of weeks.
Surely u could've hoovered it better and u need autoglym super sheen for plastics
I probably should have but for the purposes of the video I just took the worst out as I was planning on shampooing it afterword. I have a few autoglym products the super resin Polish and the glass cleaner both don't dissapoint. Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you for this. The wireless mics you use refused to work on my cheapo Motorola phones, but the gimbals are excellent.
Thank you for watching. The wireless mics need an otg connection on the phone I learned that when the first time I bought them the phone I had didn't have one. The phone basically sends power back down the charging port to power the unit. The gimble is really good when it comes to filming
I've never seen a gimble. Works nice & the quality of the phone is better 👌
@velmathemini I thought the same even the sound is better. The one on the tripod is a note 10+ the one in the gimble is an a33
@MiniDaly87 yeah the a33 is a big difference
@@velmathemini thanks mate good to get an opinion from a viewer 😀
Plastic cleaner: hands down AutoGlym Bumper Care for the hard plastics ie sill trims and Armourall for the dash and door cards etc.
@RichieRouge206 I may give it a go I used to use pink stuff on the dash but it smelled after a bit. Thanks for watching man !!
Haha love the MOS 6x9s! I grew up with 6x9s and subs. I've fitted a sub in nearly every car I've owned
@RichieRouge206 I want to bring a nod to the past with the car with them. I had a set in my first car and they came up on a local free cycle page brand new I nearly broke my phone trying to put in for them. The sub and amp is from my first car so it's a bit of history in it
I'm not a particular fan of any newer VW stuff but i do have a soft spot for the MK4 Golf. This is a cool video!
@RichieRouge206 I'm a vw man through and through love them. My daily is a b6 passat. Your more a sweedish lover 😂
That gimble is really handy!
Thank you dude! I really appreciate this
Some really nice cars there 😮.
@@velmathemini it's a shame that it was filmed with my old phone. It really didn't do it justice
@MiniDaly87 looked like a long drive. Shame you can't go back again & film with your new camera.
What’s this,GAME FOR A LAUGH.
Technically it did fire 😂 thanks for watching
@ No problem mate, just keep entertaining us. Thanks.
Well all I can say is at least your not going to get cold in that unit 🤣 🔥 Great video and well handled when it did catch fire like you say it shows how important maintenance is and carrying a fire extinguisher in a classic car.
@@SimpsonsClassics no I definitely have my heating sorted for winter 😂 I was so annoyed after it was so close to firing. Might do a part 2 after I sort the gaskets out
Great video! 👍
Thanks for watching Cody
Bloody hell man 😅 That was exciting 🔥
@@mcalvert39 you love your fire 😂 at least I got it early and didn't panic
Brilliant video. This is how is was doing my morris, makings up my own bits with metal. I haven't done any work on it for ages but you've given me the inspiration that i needed . Great stuff keep up the great work
@pjcurran1717 thank you pj there will be plenty more videos like this coming. Thanks for watching
And it was at this moment he knew he had fucked up 😂😂😂😂😂
@@dannyhanley8927 it went south fast 😂
Wow that escalated 😳. Luckily that fire blanket kept the flames inside it. I was more interested in the crack you were showing 😂😂. Excuse my ignorance but which car is the engine from? Is it from the car behind the mpi?
@velmathemini I bought a fire extinguisher straight after that no more messing around. Yeah i noticed that in the video. I had to cut a good chunk out. This isn't a builders channel 😂 the engine is from the 87 parked behind the mpi. Thanks for watching mate
@MiniDaly87 I think we all should buy a fire extinguisher. Did you get a water or powder?
@velmathemini I bought a powder one I'll send you a pic of it on insta mate. It might be messy when it goes off but if rather clean that up rather than a burnt car \ workshop
@MiniDaly87 just seen. Yeah the powder one goes everywhere. I've seen someone use one at work. Better to be safe than sorry though 👍
When we had you back to blacking the bumpers at between 8 and 9 the night before 😂
It was all good fun mate. Sure what else would we be doing
What is that metal in the midle that you took off?
It's a clip that slides down the side it's not really used being honest. I've changed the glass 6 months ago and it hasn't fallen out yet. It's fiddly to line up when you do fit it
