I’ve always admired the Aggie band to the core of it’s very soul
Here.
Gives me chills every time
The march to war

I am searching hard for this specific arrangement's sheet music. The current Aggie Band director was not around when this song was a part of their repertoire so it is not in the Aggie Band's current library. This is proving hard to find the sheet music for. Would love to know if any old Ags played this and can remember anything specific to help me find the sheet music.
🎉none better
Hoorah
Just learned it on the trumpet 🎺🎺🎺
Best song ever
Right in the middle of the cross through is fish me.
GIG 'EM AGS!!
Greg Abbotts brown shirts, shades of 1933 Germany!!!!!!
Thanks for preserving this! This was one of my favorites to play back in the day. Good times.
FARMERS FIGHT!!!!
Gigem
Good rendition, and at least it had a one-two, or four-four beat. Every time my outfit marched into Kyle Field, the instant we approached the reviewing stand, the Band switched to playing a waltz
Best song of the world’s best band
12 likes… perfection
I’m in a HS Military marching band and I recommended this song to my band director. One of Kings best marches!
Did he approve?
Songs in the video: Buglers Dream/Battle Royal March/Honey Boys on Parade
My favorite songs
Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights drum and bugle corp played this back in the 60's. Great arrangement
Fantastic. I enjoyed listening to the trombone section to hear their parts of these songs. The percussions came in great, too. 😀
This was my high school marching band entrance theme for football games! Talk about memories.
That good looking cadet marching right guide in the fourth rank is me.

This song...is fantastic..... for some reason I resonate with it.... and the band has my undivided attention with this one! An all time favorite of mine. Gig'em !!!!!

Long Live Texas !!!
WHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Great tune, thank you for sharing.
I graduated from UT but I wish the UT band would play this.
Wasn't this also the theme song to Police Academy?
No, the song if from the 1970 film "Patton." It is the opening theme to the movie and was later adapted by the Aggie Band.
Did this play for movie the Alamo
Nut
Lmao
(BQ '76) Nice to see they were still playing this, long after I went to the Army.
Get this towels in rhythm nerds.
(BQ '76) Not a song that fits well to a military band style. For that matter, it was 40 seconds in before I even recognized the song. For those who are wondering about the sheet-music, my girlfriend used to laugh every time we "passed it back" to play a song (even "Green Beret", about as simple as they get) and even the seniors got out their music. The thing is, we never play a song the same way twice in a row on the field. The music is re-arranged to fit the drill; not the other way around.
Didn’t age well
Absolutely love this song and it sounds even better with the FTAB playing it. 😀
The last item called "Hump It" what is it that they are saying?
They are yelling “The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the best damn band in all of campus”
I was there 50 years ago. We wore class "A" summer khaki uniform - longsleeve shirt and tie tucked in about the third shirt button. What happened to that uniform?
If it was all tan, we still use it, but only on certain occasions. For special events, the Long-sleeve Bravos uniform has been replaced by the Alphas Uniform/Midnights. The newer one is the dark green jacket you would see in later football games including the four way cross.
If you don't mind me asking, which outfit were you in?
@@crimsonstone3627 Thanks for your response. The uniform I am referring to was worn in early fall until winter class "A" uniforms. The summer class "A" uniforms were khaki shirt, khaki pants, junior and seniors wore surge, which was more of a light gray in color, but all long sleeve shirts with ties to every football game - home or away.
@@crimsonstone3627 Thanks for asking. My outfit no longer exists. In 1973, the Aggie Band was battalion strength made up of two companies. The White Band (former Infantry Band) and the Maroon Band (former Artillery Band). I was in the White Band. The Aggie Band went to Brigade strength in 1977.
@@guionhall7950 that's so interesting! I wish there was some sort of catalog that had all the uniforms through the years. Maybe I could find something in the sanders center.
My favorite
Mine too
It is good to see the Corp of Cadets and Aggie Band still intact after the Viet Nam war and into the late 70's.
Like Johnny Football, the one that you let get away with pretty much everything. That Johnny? The one that made you proud? How do these pretend soldiers not have this song memorized? Not rockets science for most other marching bands. But we do things differently in college station!
(Army officer veteran, BQ '76) Big talk from a wuss who didn't have the balls to be in the Corps, much less serve in the military and take your chance at getting shot at. If you listened when The Band plays during half-time drills, you would realize we rarely play the same song the same way. The music is changed to fit the drill, not the other way around.
Again, if you think your pretend Junior ROTC program represents anything of a “corp” that can protect America……then you keep living in that dreamland. I’m glad that your band can play a song a few different ways. Freaking impressive.
@@txblades1 In spring 1917, graduation ceremony was held at an Army base because all the seniors enlisted. The Corps ("body" of troops) had more officers than West Point during WWII. We have a long list (including my friend) who died for their country. Meanwhile, we have trolls such as you; insulting something you couldn't do. Keep barking, but stay on the porch.
You sound triggered. And love that you’re defending this junior rotc unit. Doing jumping jacks a few times a week at 6am I guess makes you big time tough. Hilarious.
West Point = quality. This …….? Sort of not the same. You keep telling yourself it is.
GET THE OBESE WOMEN OUT OF THE PICTURE
Too many moon pies and RC colas. Time to cut back, ladies.
Nice
As an Aggie Grad nothing send chils down my spine than when the Aggie band performs! They are the best part of Game day!
Love this one!
