Had to borrow the gym shoes. Gross. Im happy with my performance even though i was more cautious with my feet movements.

Probably shouldn’t have done this after 2 hours of climbing. But its nice to set my baseline. Also i will use chalk next time.

(19.71) 18.75 17.25 17.97 (16.03) Im very disappointed at my most recent comp average. My fingers were so cold from the venue and i forgot to bring the hand warmers so i couldn’t perform my best. Now that i am in a controlled environment (at home) i wanted to record myself to see how well i could do. I’m glad i can still cube relatively ok! It’s a relief i’m not losing skills!

This could have been my first v3 overhang climb but i couldn’t link up the moves. Unfortunately had no sends.

My first attempt was horrible, spent half the time relearning how the mechanisms worked. The rest of the attempts stabilized.

One of my worst averages at a comp. My fingers were so cold and stiff that i didn't get to perform my best.

Everyone considering these certs should watch this video. It is excellent, much better than others.
So very proud of you Claire. You get stronger and more confident every climb. You got this chick 😊
iwas in that event
lesgo, v5 next 💪
nice!

Well done !!
This is very inspiring. Last month I started having fun with bouldering and it motivates me to watch people like you and learn :D
Great to hear you’ve gotten into climbing, enjoy the process!
So proud of you gf. You appear to be getting much stronger.
Thanks I feel stronger.
What are you adjusting with the pole? Never seen that before
So at the end of the pole are these little brushes and i’m brushing off excess chalk. Sometimes there’s too much chalk caked onto the holds making it harder to grip.
Your amazing and getting stronger every week. You go girl, you rock!!!
Great job Claire,!!!
Thank you!
Liked the commentary keep up the good work! If you're able to figure out how to fix the hissing noise it would be great.
Appreciate the feedback, will look into my mic situation.
Love it when you can ring the bell 😅...way to go Claire 😊
Keep it up, mate, I can feel your effort from here
Outstanding GF 😅😅😅
Great job gf. Proud of you 😂😅
Did a time lapse because i knew it was going to take a while. In case it’s too fast, what i’m doing is i’m touching the textures on the cube to figure out how the pieces relate to each other.

Nice! Do you have any cubing goals for the future?
Thanks! Before each comp i set a mini goal of beating the previous comp’s ao5 or single. Now i want to set a goal on learning the proper f2l, oll, and pll. Based on your youtube handle it looks like you’re a cuber too? Do you have any goals?
@@clairekraft4892 nice, those are fun to learn. Yea for me I am grinding for a sub9 average on 3x3.
Good job!
Thanks
Hi Claire, your times seem similar to mine, to some degree--most in the low 20s, but with occasional last layer flubs that give us 30+ 😞solves. But one big difference...! A sub-20 in comp still eludes me. When the kid in the background yells out "I got a sub-20!", you just casually spike a 19.88. 🙂 Here's my latest cstimer session of around 1500 solves: 15+ 146 <20 20+ 992 <25 25+ 385 <30 30+ 56 Guess I need to work on my OLL/PLL accuracy (and my F2L look-ahead, and...)
Hey Dean, looks like you’re putting in the work with those 1500 solves. I like how systematic and analytical you are in the training process. I need to learn the full oll and pll. Also i dont know the proper f2l, kind of just made them up. So im sure i could be a lot more efficient after learning these.
@@clairekraft4892 well, those 1500 solves are over some number of weeks or months (not even sure how long), not a single sitting session, lol. I do know full OLL and PLL, so that benefits me, but I'm less fluid than you, as my recognition after each step isn't seamless. I'm shooting for a sub-18 average, and I figure that'll be close to my peak, but I bet you'll be sub-18 way before me, and it won't be your peak.
@@deanm66 you’ve got this 👏
Your my hero Claire
Haha thanks for the support!
I’m currently taking IBM Business Intelligence Analyst Professional certification and it’s amazing
IBM certifications are more technical goes more into depth on topics. Google has a more marketable name.
Your amazing Claire, keep up the good work 💪
Wow. And untethered 🎉
Way to go Claire, you are mastering the wall!! You totally rock gf 💪
Thanks! Whether you were intentional or not i like the pun ,”you totally rock gf”, rock like rock climbing. 😆
Well done Claire!

Hi! Thanks for the video. Could you please share a link to your github? I just want to get some inspiration on how you have made a portfolio showcasing your work in the course. You mentioned you made some PDFs and Jupyter notebooks regarding the course assignments. Thanks!
Happy to! Here my repo: github.com/ckraft-bot/IBM-Data-Analyst-Professional-Certificate
This lady has given the most non bias review about these two certs. Thank you so much!! Cheers!
I'm so grateful I watched this, Thank you!
Your Fingertrick looks weird. Which method are you using?
I chose the Google one cause I'm doing it for 100% free through The American Dream Academy program. People can also audit the course for free and apply for financial aid which will give you it for free. So, I don't agree that it's predatory. It really just takes a person to be thorough to find these benefits. I'm also the type to be independent. I don't need positive affirmation or feedback when I complete something and I don't really care for grading other's work. I graduated university and I never want to go through that setting again, so bring on the self-study haha. I also need to say that influencers will always lie for money, but that's not Googles fault. People with critical thinking skills should know that a cert will not give them a job and a majority of people who do the research know that it's not going to immediately give them a job.
Take a sip each time you hear "spelling is hard." Haha!
Bravo!!!
I think I can give you one tip. Try practice doing the cross without thinking about it. Same for F2l. In f2l during that time you can look Ahead
Thanks for the tip! I agree with your assessment. I think my F2L algs are improper. I need to first learn the proper algs then do look ahead for just the cross. After, i can do lookahead with the cross and F2L.
Nice times!
I think if a certificate increases my chance of landing an interview, it already serves its purpose.
this lady sounds very honest and giving an honest appraisal of the google data analytics certificate. There are so many videos that advertise the program I think I got taken. It really doesn't help getting a job. The coverage of the various tools like tableau, sql, excel is seriously inadequate. I wish this video was out years ago, or at least before I did the program a year ago.
Thank you for the review. This is the best review I have seen. I am already in the IT industry and thought about these but something felt off about them, especially the heavy marketing of Google Data analytics cert. I think these are an affordable for people who are already in the IT industry to pivot slowly into Data analysis and Data science (if they have the math behind it). It tacky to believe that these certs alone will get you the job. Especially now a days with the layoffs and competition from people wanting to get into something to work from home. These certifications are a supplementary addition at best.
You summarized it so well.
Would getting an advanced degree (like say a masters in analytics) be more worth it in terms of learning the topics covered in the certificates more in depth?
If you want to be a Data Scientist, yes. As a data analyst, no. A portfolio showcasing skills helps the most. Demonstrating skills in excel, sql, python, and “Easy to understand” visualizations.
What is that backround music called? It is very good
