DIVINITY - The Beauty of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Elden Ring and its expansion Shadow of the Erdtree have consumed my life for the past 2.5 years. The culmination of playing over 12 years of Souls-games, to me Elden Ring delivered nothing short of brilliance in its world, atmosphere and aesthetics. While deeply flawed, it has become my favorite game of all time.
With this and my previous cinematic montage AMBITION, I aim to give it some more praise.

So this just happened on my level 1 character on NG 6. No audio because of background noise. Ive never ever seen this before and I suspect its because of the patch that went live just hours earlier. I dont know what causes it but maybe it has something to do with blood loss in the first phase? Either way, this is something for FROMSOFT to fix next

Song: Ani Mevushal - Infected Mushroom & Bliss Happy with the clips themselves but the song was a bit of a pain to edit with although I do love it on its own. The game is just not infantry based, its a sad fact. This will mostly serve as a vehicle-heavy montage but I hope in the future infantry becomes more usable. Song: Stargazing - by Altare First month of 2042 is over, first montage is out. Very happy with how fast paced this was, although I did have a hard time editing with the song. Obviously inspired by Sulejeks work on Enders' montage, amazing song choices that I couldnt pass up on using myself.

The game is in a piss poor state but I can still find enjoyment in it, which is comforting since it quite literally can only go up from here. Recording is also super buggy at the moment because the game appears to hate the Nvidia overlay, so I havent recorded much at all. At the same time Ive saved most great clips to be used in montages later.

the fact that gaming as a whole is still very new in the sense that its going to exist far into the future and there is already a game THIS good is just like inspiring, i cant wait to see the games that come out in the next 40-50 years.
If AI doesnt kill the industry and developers' creativity, it will be very exciting indeed

I used Reshade and EldenRingFPSUnlocker The unlocker does indeed unlock FPS but you can also change your FOV with it, which I did for this video

Thanks :) And oh yeah, definitely. We ended up doing more runs later with the Iron Balls and got our co-op time down to 1:38 which is 22 minutes faster than this run. Its all mostly for fun of course

I think something that’s truly underrated about Elden Ring is that it frames ambition as a positive force. The longing to occupy a greater station then you already do is almost always portrayed as a villainous motivation in the world of fiction. Yet in the real world, in our world, the desire of people to be something more then what they already are has been the source of some of genuine change for the better. Civil rights, the elimination of diseases, machines that let people explore outer space when evolution intended for us to never leave the earth. I’m not sure why Fromsoft decided to go somewhat more hopeful then Elden Ring then any of their previous stories. Maybe after so much doom and gloom they just wanted to do something positive for a change. But whatever the reason, I’m truly thankful they did. Because if enough people walk away from this game believing the forces that dictate our lives aren’t insurmountable as they want us to believe, maybe we’ll start seeing that hope more often in real life.
