I just read a Miles Davis interview from the time this album had just been released. He was asked if Billie was past her peak. He responded that she was right at her peak. I was glad to hear this as I think this is the greatest album ever recorded. Thank you for this post.

Important to note: bass is being played with the foot here. Believe he used a Krueger Bass Unit to get the upright bass sound on the bass pedals. When you realize this is a duo, it changes the way you interpret the music.
