Welcome to the Greenhouse Garden Block of the Month (BOM) & quilt sew along! Let's sew Block 10! This month’s block comes together very similar to the past blocks. There is no right or wrong way to foundation paper piece, but this month I thought I’d show you how I typically paper piece in an “assembly line” type of way. This method may not work well for everyone. I find that I’m fairly efficie...

Thank you.
So helpful. Thank you.
You're welcome! Happy paper piecing!
Excited to get star-ted :)
LOL... I see what you did there. I can't wait either!
cute quilt.
Thank you!
Tq
Your pattern and tutorial are wonderful!
Thanks so much!
@WholeCircleStudio you're very welcome! You make the process so easy to understand
What is the point of a ridiculous video like this? There is absolutely NO BENEFIT of watching this sloppy nonsense. Please just stop, or reconsider what you're doing and ask somebody with a brain to help you. You obviously have no clue.....
Why so fast????😮
Thanks for watching! It's just a taste of a foundation paper piecing block coming together - the video would be far too long (and probably boring) in actual speed. If you're interested in this, be sure to check out my other content where I slow down the process and have tutorials!
Woah this looks awesome
Thanks so much!
Ty!! It was for my project in school tysm🎉
What I have found helpful to make sure I have traced all the lines is to make a small hash mark on that line so I know it has been traced.
hello! Just wanted to as what type of thread you are using?
Thanks for asking! I'm using Aurifil Floss. It's a 6 strand floss and you can separate the floss to make the stitches less thick if you want. Here is my affiliate link (I may make a small commission, but you don't pay any extra) to Aurifil Floss if you want to check it out: amzn.to/3BUYdrB
@@WholeCircleStudio thank youu! ❤
Excellent tutorial! I wanted to do freezer paper piecing rather than sewing but felt confused watching those tutorials. This one helped me understand the whole wrong side - correct side issue much better! Your sewing example was also helpful so we could see the tiny piece being added. Thank you so much.
Beautiful
Wow, that is so beautiful! Great job
Love it! And the autumn colour behind :)
Thank you! And yes! It is definitely autumn here in the Northeast US!
Thank you! I've been hesitant to do any projects with those little tiny pieces!
You can run that freezer paper through an ink jet printer it works great you do have to cut it down to size 💕
Thanks for the comment! I have heard that some people do run freezer paper through their printer, but I'm always hesitate to recommend this as every printer is a bit different and I would never want someone to take my advice and damage their printer. Certainly it can be tried, but at your own risk (I love my printer and they don't make it anymore so I'm really protective of it!)
Great tip. Thank you so much. I have an awful time aligning so this may help me.
Hi! Are all the “A” sections the same fabric? And all the “ B’s”, etc…..That seems like a smart way to FPP, but I didn’t understand the ‘sped’ up version lol🤓🦋
Hi there! I'm not sure I quite understand your question. In some cases the different paper pieces use different fabrics numerically, so sometimes I'm switching out fabric between pieces (i.e attaching A2 fabric, then B2 fabric, then C2 fabric, etc. THEN trimming them all, then pressing them all, and then starting all over again with the "3s"). This is just an "assembly line" that works for me. Feel free to paper piece in any order that makes sense to you!
@@WholeCircleStudio Thank you. I feel like I understand a bit now. To tell the truth I’ve only FPP’d simpler patterns and haven’t really needed to go to more than three separate sections. This sounds like a very efficient method you’re using. I will have a go at it🪴
Why do you rub the stitches?
Hello😊
Thank you so much! This is a great tutorial!
Thank you 😊
Using 50 Cent's Wanksta for this is kind of wild 😂 I appreciate the straight to the point video!
It's really good but it's so hard to keep up
Thanks so much for the lesson! I am planning a 60deg triangle based log cabin style, and this sounds like it will keep it all on track. I was especially concerned because I'm using gifted and thrifted men's shirts, so the fabrics won't be acting the same.
You're welcome and good luck!
If you stick a button on your table in the middle it’s much easier to line up your layers. ❤❤❤
Thank you for a great video. I have watched several and struggled understanding how this came together. Now I understand! I am excited to try it. Thanks again!
Yay! I'm so happy to hear that the way I approach FPP resonates with you. Happy FPPing!
The coolest thing ever! Congratulations on being selected!
🎉🎉🎉
I love greenhouses and gardens. Thank you.
Isn’t she lovely?
🎉
Hey that’s beautiful!! It also drapes nicely. What type of batting did you use ?
Thank you! I typically use Warm and Natural or Warm and White by The Warm Company for my batting.
Beautiful! Love your color choices! ❤
Ok so you trimmed the seams down to i/4", that means the pieces were cut larger. How do I know how much larger to cut them?
Hi there! I'm not sure I completely understand your question, but if you're asking how do you know how much larger to cut the fabric than the section you're covering, I typically suggest cutting fabric pieces 3/4" larger in both directions. More experienced paper piecers can usually get away with smaller fabric pieces and newer paper piecers may need their fabric to be a bit bigger. Hope this helps!
How do you anchor the thread?
Thank you. Also: all the tutorial shorts have the main action going on at the bottom of the screen. That’s where all the words are so it makes it hard to see. Maybe put the main action at the middle or top of the screen.
സൂപ്പർ 👍🏻👍🏻
What is the motif material used
Beautiful quilt!
So cute 🥺 I like it a lot
need to catch myself up
Very cool quilt!
It is really helpful and easy .❤ I think it was touff that's why iam searching it's tutorial videos 📸

So what's Next with these pieces???
